Shawarma fushion
Lauren S.

This dish had a bunch of different flavors, the crunch from the crisps, the salsa with melted cheese, the thick pita, and the sausage itself had its own flavor! Chef Reggie was the one that gave the excellent service, I love going to galaxie because of the concerts they hold and the people that are so welcoming.

If you're EVER in the Louisville Nulu/downtown area, you have to stop by Galaxie. My friends and I were looking for a quick bite to eat and stumbled upon this place and everything was 10/10! Mel was so knowledgeable about the menu, she suggested the chicken shawarma, loaded nacho and shrimp poboy and it was all BOMB. Was only able to get a pic of the nachos. They make their chips and toppings in house and we certainly tasted the freshness! Also, the ambiance and aesthetic were so cute, we loved the galaxy themed bathroom. This will def be a place we visit anytime we're back in town.

When you first walk in, it's nice to see everything decorated and all the fun Christmas mugs, glasses, and shot glasses. Then, you realize there is more! Nicely decorated festive rooms and a lot of space. I tried the Turkey Sliders and Fries and they were very good. Actually, a lot better than I expected so I highly recommend those. The Christmapolitan and Rudolph's Replacement were very good as well. Service was great, they weren't too busy and you have a couple different bars so that is a plus when it gets busier. I'm excited to go back before Miracle on Market ends.

Visited Miracle on Market again to try more holiday cocktails. Venue was busy on a Sunday evening, but line moved fast. We were never able to snag a table, but there was plenty of standing room. Drinks were ok - they didn't rank as high as other pop up bars we've visited and they were some of the highest priced. We did share some food at Galaxie (front space) and it was so good! Overall, great decide for holidays but priced and not as impressive cocktails.

This place was a let down. I'd seen all the great reviews about how Galaxie was a fun place to pop into for good food and drinks, but I think they place the heavy lifting on their fun branding and cool vibes over quality food/service. There was hardly any meat on my $8 wrap and was mainly filler toppings. I got chips on the side, and I swear the salsa was straight from a jar. I also ordered a shot beer combo (which is normally a good deal), but my first shot glass still had lipstick from the previous person on it. We also had to wait a while for one person in our party to get their food, and they forgot our fries for a hot second. I'd try one of the many other restaurants in the area if you're in this part of town.

Stopped in for the pop up Christmas theme bar. Beautiful decorations . Order at the bar and pick your food up so it's self serve. Drinks are way overpriced in my opinion . While served in adorable Christmas themed glassware , it was $15 for a small glass of wine. Hot chocolate was $8 and seemed like Swiss miss with a marshmallow . Roast beef fries were hot and delicious . The ambiance is worth going for but can't afford to stay long .

Miracle on market is the best Christmas bar in town. With that said the food at galaxy is great and I can't wait to go for an EDM show.

Chips and queso

Stopped in for an early dinner and I love the creativity of their menu. Started with some margs and chips with queso. The homemade tortilla chips were warm and had a yummy seasoning on them. Also had tacos but completely forgot to take pictures because they were so yummy we dug right in. I'm excited that they will be opening a new location near home in Covington. This restaurant's quirky personality will fit right in.

I was browsing Uber Eats on rainy Friday night when I stumbled on Galaxie Tacos. I usually gravitate to local establishments and wasn't sure Galaxie Tacos was local? But my curiosity got the best of me, and I ordered three Wakatakas, (their signature flatbread tacos). I got the following: shrimp & chorizo- avocado mousse, arugula, aioli, pickled red onion, pico, cilantro hoisin bbq- korean bbq sauce, arugula,za'atar, pickled red onion Chimichurri chicken- grilled onion, chimichurri sauce, feta, pico, parsley I made it a combo and added chips and salsa. I'm not sure what the chips were dusted in, maybe grippos seasoning? I'm not usually much of a chip eater, but these were special with a unique combination of being both thick and flaky. The salsa was green and thicker than your average verde. I wasn't sure how many tacos I needed, having no experience with wakatakas. The flatbread made them more substantial than I expected. The toppings were hearty. I think one would've been enough, but I didn't let that stop me. I kept trying to pick my favorite, but I can't. Alternating bites provided the perfect combination of flavors. I can't comment on the ambience of this restaurant because I had them delivered. They were came fast and fresh. While I ate, I couldn't help but to keep thinking, "what luck that this place caught my eye." I can't remember the last time I've had tacos so satisfying.

Galaxie is a cool funky spot for drinks right off the main drag in NULU! I've been here twice, and both times my husband and I only ordered hand-shaken cocktails from the bar. We always seem to eat elsewhere for lunch and dinner, but after looking at the menu & review photos, I'm starting to regret that! (The menu sounds amazing!) Until next time, when we WILL order food, all I can say is that their drinks are killer! The bartenders are quick, they know what they're doing, and seem like some of the coolest, kindest, most interesting people around! If you're not sure what drink you want to entertain, just ask them! They'll whip up a concoction that's sure to become your new favorite! Atmosphere is dark and sexy, perfect for sipping margs and listening to music on a date night. They often have live bands and events on weekends, and everyone in the area seems to recommend coming here! Stop in for a quick drink and a bite to eat! (I plan to update this review with food photos once I hit em' up again!)

Thanksgiving Taco
Lauren H.

The tacos have my whole heart!!! No seriously, after trying their Thanksgiving taco I have been raving about it to my husband. It got to the point where he told me to either stop talking about it or take him to get one. So we went and got one. Another taco of theirs I really like is the chipotle chicken one. I am a little ashamed to admit, but I've been here many times recently and I've gotten the Thanksgiving taco three of those times , there is just some thing about the zest in their cranberry sauce that really pulls it together. All that to say- I'm excited to come back and try even more of the taco combinations! This is a great place to stop in NuLu for a drink and snack, or you can make a meal out of the menu items. Around the holidays the bar turns into "miracle on market" and becomes a Christmas lovers dream. They usually post who is DJ'ing on their socials. The staff has always been kind and welcoming, food and drinks come out relatively quick even when the place is packed! Overall: check them out even if it's not the holidays, the fun tacos will hook your attention!

Jane R.

This place was a nice little spot for drinks and tacos! But the tacos were a little hard to eat. I got the Philly cheesesteak tacos. They were just a little pricey. My group stayed for trivia which was fun. I would come back here with a group to hang out.

Galaxie .......... Located in the heart of the NULU neighborhood of Louisville on Market street, this intimate urban lounge is the perfect setting for a bar stop with tasty food. From the street , you would never guess what's lies inside. I went for tequila fest and was pleasantly surprised. The interior gives off cool vibe, with splashes of beautiful stunning art. The food is next level bar food and was prepared quickly. The perfect balance of composition of each dish was amazing. There is stage and full bar in the back. Definitely a place you can stop and enjoy. Drink: House Margarita Entree: Black Bean Bowl Decor: Recycled Art Masterpiece

There are also picnic tables out front. You get a faint whiff of the grill/smoker upon entering. Kylie was our bartender and she was fabulous - knowledgeable, friendly, and answered all of our questions with patience. Wife ordered a mango margarita and doesn't like a lot of tequila, so Kylie went half and gave her a shot on the side in case she wanted to add more. It was wonderful. I had a couple of beers. We started with the fried mushrooms, which aren't what you would expect. It's two large portobellos cut into chunks, battered, fried, and served with sun-dried tomato mayo. They were great. I then ordered a duck taco, brisket taco, and a side of Grippo Fries with smoked mayo. I'd never tried duck but that taco was smack-a-lackin'. The brisket taco was also good, and the fries were fantastic - sweet and spicy, fresh cut, and crispy. Wife ordered a pork belly slider and truffle fries. She enjoyed the slider but didn't care for the fries - just not her thing. The portions here are large. A side of fries will feed three people. We took a hefty portion of them home, as well as some of the mushrooms. We could've sat there at the bar and spent 3 hours socializing and enjoying a smattering of cocktails - love the setting. Look forward to going back and trying one of the burgers at some point.

Flavor wise they did not change my life like I was hoping they would. Still ate them all. The locale is super unassuming from the street, but inside it is really cool, divey, and broody. The staff was super sweet and helped me get in and out efficiently so I could make it to the game. Would absolutely recommend, would absolutely come back, and would absolutely bring friends here.

I scanned…read morethe list of James Beard 2025 semifinalists and focused on two spots: MeeshMeesh and The Fat Lamb. MeeshMeesh is wildly popular and books out 60 days in advance, so that wasn't happening--but I was able to secure a timely reservation at The Fat Lamb. That turned out to be a great decision. It was a pleasure meeting Dallas McGarity, the executive chef and owner. He shared that the restaurant has been open for about ten years and that he's preparing to open a new Italian concept. When the topic of his James Beard nomination came up, he mentioned it was a complete surprise--the restaurant didn't self-nominate--which made the recognition feel even more meaningful. One thing I neglected to ask him directly was why lamb plays such a central role on the menu. Our server wasn't entirely sure either, but she did explain how the restaurant got its name. Apparently, Dallas was traveling through the countryside, spotted a particularly memorable "fat lamb" on a farm, and the name stuck. Sometimes it really is that simple. With four of us dining, we may have gone a bit overboard on starters--but no regrets. We shared the roasted Brussels sprouts, lamb kofta meatballs, fontina and truffle arancini, and the whipped feta and pita. Every dish was well-executed and easy to share, which made them ideal for a business dinner. For entrées, my wife and I split the signature tandoori and ancho spice-roasted lamb chops. They were flavorful without being heavy, and the black barbecue sauce added a nice depth. Our server highly recommended the Moroccan-spiced halibut, which our other guests shared and thoroughly enjoyed--especially the mushroom demi-glace. Dessert was the Nutella mousse, another house signature. The Italian cherries and chocolate shavings were a great finishing touch without pushing things into overly sweet territory. Beyond the food, what really stood out was the service and pacing. The evening flowed naturally--never rushed, never dragging--which is exactly what you want when entertaining clients or colleagues. The Fat Lamb delivered a memorable, well-rounded dining experience and easily earned its reputation. I'd happily return, whether for business or just a great night out.

Music is contemporary and nice, kept at a volume that allows easy, quiet conversation. Service is very professional and respectful but not, like, "elite" -- we're still in Louisville. Cost is very high by Louisville standards at $125/person, but I'd say worth it for a 5-course prix fixe menu: an amuse-bouche, 2 seafood courses, a pasta course, a meat entree, and a dessert. I'd recommend skipping the wine pairing and just ordering your own drink(s), the pairing's a $65 add-on and didn't deepen the flavor experience for me. I also think the smoky bourbon dessert is made more for the 'Gram but it's fine, the lemon mochi cake was better. Also read the bill, even tho you'll wanna be classy and act rich when it comes. I think they add gratuity automatically to all bills (they did to ours as a table of 2) -- and that's fine, I actually appreciated it, just check so you don't accidentally double-tip (or do, but do so knowingly). Overall 610 is a lovely, quietly-chic restaurant at the top of the Louisville dining scene, leaning much harder on quality dishes prepared extremely well than on flashiness or gimmicks to set itself apart. I look forward to going back.
