Fantastic atmosphere but it is FREEZING. It's a large room with that library feel, but they decorate it so well that it doesn't feel too big. All the windows are wonderful but also make it so so cold in there you need to dress warm or you won't last long. There is a fire place in the center but it doesn't emit any heat unless you touch it. This is a great place to work at, catch up with a friend, or digest a drink. I think the drink service starts at 3 but the room is available way before that. It's off the left of the lobby and will have people working in it during the day. read more

I love a unique cocktail bar and this was just that. Drink was FANTASTIC! I wish they staff was friendlier. It's inside the Omni Hotel. read more

Wonderful spot for date night! Service was friendly and quick, and the decor is very cool. They have some cozy couch seating areas and some tables and chairs. It would also be a good spot for a small group of people too. I got a New York sour (I cannot remember the drink name, something with a bee maybe) and my boyfriend tried an old fashioned. Loved both. We will absolutely be back. read more

We decided to visit the bar while staying at the Omni. I wish I could remember the bartender's name but I can't. It was a petite female with black hair. She was AMAZING!!! She made great cocktails and was super warm and pleasant. She took really good care of us in spite of having many people to serve. For cocktails we had old fashioned and lullaby and good night. For food we had Salmon dip. Everything was delicious. Not to mention the decor, the furniture, fireplace and view of the street made it a very comfortable and inviting space. read more

The ambiance at the Library Bar is on point and very enjoyable, but that's where the good experience starts and ends. The cocktails are mediocre and overpriced. The service was completely non-existent, despite two bartenders and a server standing around at the bar. We will definitely stay at the Omni again, but grab drinks elsewhere. read more

This place was a great vibe and was a very unique setting that i very much like. You order at the bar with the bartender and if you get food they bring it to your table. The food was good but was a little pricey they give a very heavy pour on the wine. I liked the vibe and would recommend if you like a chill vibe and good drinks. read more

This bar has an opulent feel from the grand lobby to the chandeliers and fireplace inside. Small bar offering a few choice cocktails had two smiling servers behind it that were friendly. Great spot to feel fancy and pampered in a faux elitist imaginary library daydream. Great pit stop. read more

My coworkers and I are here for the NACADA Conference and staying in this wonderful hotel! We decided to have a night cap before retiring for the evening. We loved the atmosphere but our server was terrible! I think it may have been his 1st day on the job because he was clueless when it came to customer service! The drinks can be pricey. I ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and it was $25! Yikes! Anyway, the place has a really chilled vibe and it's great for relaxing and talking! Just make sure you look at the prices before you order your drink so you won't end up with a $25 glass of wine! read more

This is a fun place to end your evening if you are staying in the Omni Hotel; the service is friendly and bourbon selection is everything you'd want it to be. I wish the seats were more old school leather club chairs, and less oversized funky pleather loungers, a la Alice in Wonderland, but that is a minor quibble. read more

We had a few hours to kill and stumbled upon this bar in the Omni hotel. First of all, it's beautiful. I really liked the library theme. It's very cozy in there with couches and a fireplace. I had a glass of wine and my husband had some sort of tequila drink. Both were great. The bartender was really nice and chatted with us while we waited. It was the perfect place to stop for a few. read more

Great ambiance with a nice theme to it! Library Bar is located inside the Omni Louisville hotel. After a day of barrel picking, we wanted a place to unwind and relax. The seating area is nice and cozy, with couches and armchairs all around. The drink menus are classified by type of spirit, and are on old school library check-out cards, which I loved! That being said, though, the selection is kind of limited. All-in-all, if you want a nice place to hangout with people (or just be alone) and relax with some cocktails, give this place a try. The staff is friendly and the drinks are good! read more

Fun atmosphere, great selection, excellent service. This is located in the lobby area of the Omni Hotel. It's decorated to look like a Library. It's really relaxing in here. They had the fire going and with all the people it made for a really fun time. The bar tender was super friendly and really fast at making drinks. So I'm trying all these amazing places in the Omni. This place is beautiful and full of history. The photos take you back in time for this beautiful city. It's a nice quiet spot in the mornings and the bar opens mid afternoon. I'm absolutely in love with all the photos. Tons of light from the floor to ceiling windows and an inviting fireplace that doesn't cook you in the summer. As with almost every space here, they pay homage to the rich history of horse racing with photos, sculptures and more. As it's 3:30... one drink is enough for today, but basic seems nice and knowledgeable. Might be a five star if I needed a drink! It's up to you to decide! Cheers! read more

Okay y'all, this new bar is awesome! Whether you are staying at the Omni or just dropping in for a bit, this is the place to go. It's the Omni's more "casual" bar, but is nothing short of extravagant. A friend and I came in here before a Yelp event and it made for a great place to hang out. Princess, the bartender, was very accommodating and made a fantastic bourbon sour for me. Yeah, it was a little pricey, but it was garnished and made very well. The inside of this bar is just so beautiful. In every aspect, it looks like you are sitting in a prestigious library. heck, even the drink menus are on little library cards! It's such a cozy place to hang out at, with the huge fireplace and comfy chairs. It's for sure worth a visit in whenever you find yourself inside this swanky hotel! read more

Popped in here for a cocktail. The atmosphere is really neat but the menu for cocktails was extremely limited and I want to say an Old Fashioned was $18! I know its in a hotel but that seems extremely excessive. I'm used to dropping $12-14 for a drink but we decided it wasn't worth dropping almost $100 for the 4 of us to have 1 drink in a hotel bar. read more

After weeks of saying we wanted to visit The Omni, me and my 2 best friends made a trip to specifically have a drink at The Library. It is gorgeous and impressive, yet makes me want to flop on the closest couch and dish on the latest work woes and what to watch next on Netflix. The space is good for a couple or a larger group. I appreciated the details - book spines painted to display the Belle of Louisville, bookshelves and ladders, oversized chairs, throw pillows on the couches and an electric fireplace. Cocktails and liquors were typed on library cards. While you could approach the bar for a drink, a server did come by for last call. The Library only offers cocktails, no light bites. The cocktail prices are on the high end - $16 + tip for my old fashion that was strong but only filled up half the glass (and that's because the ice boosted it). They also closed at midnight with last call at 11:30p. While the bar closes, you can continue your night there for as long as you'd like. (Need another drink? Walk across the hall into Pin & Proof to carry another over.) read more

Good vibes, great drinks and lovely location in Downtown Louisville. Located inside the Omni Hotel it has a full bar with cocktails, liquor, wine and bar. The setup is literally like a library with cool photos and a fireplace located in the middle of the venue. Not super small, but not really big. A fun place to enjoy some drinks before a night out since they close around 11p. read more

Good food, fun wait staff, no wait with a fun atmosphere. My bf was excited about all the beer choices. We would go back again.

Place is beautiful but definitely not inviting. I arrived with a group of 7 seated at the couch area. Waited for 10 minutes and no one comes over even though they can clearly see we where still waiting for some acknowledgement. The lady just kept cleaning wine glasses. Had to get our own menu to only not be acknowledged again. We decided to leave at this point since we were still ignored. read more

I have NOTHING but GOOD things to say about this place. My mom and my two sister in laws came to this location for a ladies night while we were on a spring break trip with the family. We stumbled upon this gem! The service was impeccable and the location was amazing!!! I had a mint juleps drink and it exceeded expectations!!! They don't have food but there is a restaurant down the hall, we ordered onion rings or add to an appetizer and the Library Bar staff had no issues with us bringing the food in. Great place to work, socialize, hang out or read! read more

Swanky little bar in the Omni hotel, chill atmosphere and comfortable seating. I think they had servers but no one came to our table...we got our drinks at the bar and sat down. We paid cash, and the bartender came back around saying we didn't pay the whole tab (he didn't see all the cash we laid down), but then came back a few moments later and said he didn't see all the cash and gave us the card back. I'd come back here for a great drink and low key hang out spot! read more

Well this is upsetting: I place an order for lamb chops [at the library bar] by saying "I want 4 orders of lamb chops" only to find out after an hour of waiting, that the order was not placed AND could not be placed because of the menu change. I came in specifically for drink and appetizers and to only have 1/2 partially completed is disheartening. And the drink of preference is incomplete (because they ran out). It's unfortunate. And I do not appreciate it. I have been here before and able to order consistently, especially when I came for it particularly. No exceptions. No provisions. No consideration. Nothing was received on the error from the side of the business to rectify the error. read more

Very romantic. Bourbon selection was excellent. Clean and comfortable. Staff were attentive. No food only beverages. Couches were very comfortable. Great place for a romantic drink. read more

At least on atmosphere, the Library Bar at the new Omni hotel joins the ranks of Louisville's exceptional hotel bars like the Lobby Bar at the Brown or the Seelbach or the hip spots at 21c and 8UP. The design is a contemporary take on the old world library with floor to ceiling bookcases, interlaced with modern artwork and a dramatic copper-like metal fireplace. A variety of comfortable soft seating invites you to sit and linger, whether having a drink with friends or solo with your favorite book or tablet. Drink selections are decent but lack much depth especially in bourbon (at least by Louisville standards). Prices were certainly high, and drinks were disappointedly weak. Further, the lack of food options is surprising and could deter me on future stops. Overall, it's neat to see and hang out, but if drinks and food matter (as they usually do), I'll probably go elsewhere. read more
