I went with my friend for a girls night drinks to epiphany and I'm not sure we'll ever go. Any place else anymore! The staff was very comforting and kind and very knowledgeable about their drinks. The insane variety of cocktail ingredients made for a unique experience when it came to their menu. We each got three different beverages and loved them all, and I think that I could go back in with no menu and get cocktails based on the recommendations of our incredibly knowledgeable server and be just as happy. Went on December 6th, and the whole place looked amazing. So many great holiday decorations, they even had some animatronic Santa stuff. Their holiday menu looked like a Christmas card. I love cocktails and I enjoy mixology. And I fully endorse Epiphany as Louisville's best cocktail bar. I say this having tried all of them, by the way. My cocktail standards are high: I want to see novel ingredients and creative recipes and balanced flavor profiles. I want reasonable prices, generous pours, and bartenders who care about the craft. Epiphany nails it all. I've tried about fifteen different drinks here, and I have yet to have anything under three stars. The bartenders are knowledgeable and passionate. More than once, they've taken time to educate me about a bizarre ingredient, or allowed me to sample a spirit similar to one that I already know and love. There is pride here, and the menu rotates regularly with new inventions, meaning that there's always something new to experience. A side note if the staff chances upon my review: I hope you all regularly bring back the Bunny Lebowski, my all-time favorite Epiphany cocktail - it was carrot cake-themed and absolutely delicious. Weird-sounding, I know. Most of the recipes on Epiphany's menu leave me shaking my head incredulously exclaiming, "Now how in the world are they going to pull off a decent cocktail with Campari, banana, green pea extract, coffee, limoncello, gym socks, and cardamom!?" And then, by God, they always manage to do it. This place is brilliant at creating alcoholic beverages. It's the only bar in Louisville that makes mixology feel like an art form. The green juice was refreshing with great flavor. The study abroad has the perfect amount of kick. Our server gave great recommendations and was very attentive. One of my favorite bars in Louisville! To begin with, the ambiance and decor is so cool and it feels like you are in New York or Chicago or one those big cities. Service: the bartenders are great and the owner Kelley is the sweetest ever! This was my first time to Epiphany in more than a year, which was not long after it opened. This bar is right by where Baxter/Bardstown Road meet, but it is tucked away behind the street. There is some parking available, which can be hard to come by in the Highlands. Once you see the "E" and go inside, you are greeted by friendly bartenders. We got there about 6:30-7pm, which is prime dinner time for most, so the bar was pretty empty when we walked inside. While they don't offer huge entrees, they do have several small plate options. We were not hungry, but once they described the Bluegrass Machasalsa, we said yes. The combination of chili peppers and peanuts was sublime, and we savored every bite. Of course, Epiphany is best known for their cocktails, so we made sure to enjoy a few. We ordered The Louisville, Born Slippy, and the Bunny Lebowski. All were nice and refreshing, which was perfect for a hot day. The whip on top of the Lebowski was outstanding, and the carrot was not overwhelming. All three times I've gone, the bartenders have been very inviting and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is welcoming and approachable. I think this is a fantastic place for happy hour or a post-dinner treat. read more

I went here on a Friday night around 6:45 with a party of three. I was able to immediately get a table, and I noticed the place started to fill up shortly after 7:00. This place is so cute! I really loved the ambiance, and the attention to details with the decor is amazing. It was a clean facility (including the bathrooms), and there was ample parking around back (you do have to pay, however). As for the service, I was pleased with the attentiveness. There was one point where the gap in service was a little longer, but it was a time where a bunch of people had just walked in. I was accidentally charged for food that was meant to be split with my party, and I didn't notice until I had already paid (my mistake obvi), but the server refunded it and only charged me for my two drinks instead. It was so kind! I am currently not drinking, but my friends ordered the Sangria and the Cosmopolitan. They said both were amazing! I order the non-alcoholic beverage called One Week, and it was delicious! I would recommend that more non-alcoholic options are added (I was told they only have alternative tequila, and I think alternative whiskey would be a great add). We also ordered the Kentucky Queso, Roasted Garlic Hummus, and Double Dark Chocolate Mousse. The queso was to die for, and the mousse was so rich! I will say the hummus was underwhelming as I expected it to have a stronger taste of garlic. Overall, I really enjoyed our time here! The service staff is incredible -- and even though the menu might seem a little out there for those new to the cocktail scene -- the bartenders are happy to walk you through it and help you find something you'll enjoy. I had the Born Slippy -- a refreshing "bubble gum" like margarita that was actually made with asparagus. It was delicious. Was doubly delighted by the bites. We had the matcha salsa, which was like a peanutty, chili smoked paste and a mind blowing experience full of flavor. The restaurant is cozy but comfortable. We were there on a Friday night and it was just busy enough that it wasn't awkward, but intimate enough that we had the staff's full attention. Ian and I decided to stop in to this new spot on a Friday evening and we're so glad we did! This cozy cocktail bar is the perfect addition to this end of Bardstown Road. It's tucked away and might be a little hard to find the entrance on your first try. When you park or walk up along Highland Ave, there's a parking lot behind the old Chase Bank. The door is a little hidden and facing away from the street, but it's there! I'd been following Epiphany on social media for awhile, anxiously waiting for them to open. Based on the photos I saw, I was expecting a larger space, but the interior is pretty cozy and beautifully designed. Early evening, around 6 to 7ish, was the perfect time to arrive. We found two seats at the bar and more and more people started arriving after we sat down. I'm pretty sure at one point, every seat was filled - so it's a pretty poppin' place! Every cocktail we had was on point, but I do have to say they hit me in the feels with the gin martini ft. a Kentucky "olive" garnish. I had to ask why it was in quotes and he said that the "olives" are actually baby tomatoes that they brine! Love it. The little snack we had hit the spot, too (Benedictine dip with the baguette slices in a jar). The prices for everything seemed incredibly reasonable for the ambiance, quality of the drinks, and the filling snacks. I didn't see the 1 hour free parking QR code until leaving and thought, like most places, parking was free especially during the evening. Go to Darlings or Canary Club instead. It's located across the street from the highlands Wick's pizza. You enter the bar off of the parking lot off of Highland Ave. We enjoyed sitting at the bar and talking with Grant, one of the bartenders. Cute decor - hipster vibe without the instagram neon. Will be a micro brewery soon. Decorated with local artist's work and local produce for sale. Also liked the merch for sale. Relaxing music and a very photographic tree with an unknown name. The bar was inviting and packed with old friends and friendly locals. The drinks were exceptionally well made balance and unlike some places drinkable and enjoyable,l, All do to the wonderful skilled of the knowledge staff. Atmosphere: it's not quite fully opened however the clean coziness is well apparent to the wonderful plush banquettes and well thought out bar seating with the perfect height and comfort. As you enter a whimsical produce stand giving a homage to the owners background and family heritage of farming and produce purveyors from what I was told. Service: polite , fast, knowledgeable, warm and welcoming. Food: very unique bar snack Great unique local purveyors and delicious in house made snacks. Upscale gastro pub stuff if you ask me lol but the locations not quite done and up and running fully so put your own two cents worth in. Bartenders were kind and attentive and recommended a cider on tap since I don't love bourbon. My friends enjoyed their bourbon cocktails. I had an epiphany about epiphany! Maybe it was the back to back trips in January to meet folks. Maybe it was the trips in the spring, where I found the snacks to have changed. Epiphany us my new favorite place. Hidden away Of off Baxter avenue, this fabulous cocktail bar is located in the old USPS sorting room. They have created a comfortable vibe with exposed brick, beautiful lighting, and comfortable seating. The space is so comfortable you honestly don't want to leave. So come on in and stay a while. The cocktails are flavorful and beautiful. I have yet to find a cocktail I didn't like. They have all been amazing so far. The Jimador breakfast is a personal favorite. Maybe it's the tequila. Maybe it's the intrigue of an egg. It's so flavorful with layers of taste. The snacks have been another favorite. I truly wish the green tomatoes that are like olives were still on the menu, but I recognize this is seasonal. For the spring, The black bean dip was spicy and yummy! Our friend is gluten free and the owner actually brought out gluten free chips for her to try which was very thoughtful. It's a beautiful experience and a perfect place for a conversation.
