    Chicken thigh

This place has been a hard one to get into but the wait for the reservation was always worth it. Service was top notch - Lennon was very knowledgeable and could make recommendations. The olive martini that might or might not stay on the menu is a delicious adult libation. The chicken thigh was definitely one of the moist-ess meat ever and full of exotic flavors! The restaurant is a just a delight and wonderful setting to have a small table of 4 and share an amazing dinner and make another picture book of food memories :-)

Well worth the wait to finally get there! I'll admit I did not know the term Levantine cuisine (Eastern Mediterranean/Middle Eastern), but I'm delighted to have made its acquaintance. If you want to do this right, go with friends and do the shefha--mix of appetizers and dessert, and depending on how many guests you have, you get to pick one or more mains. You won't go hungry, and there's not a miss on the menu. The fried cauliflower could make me consider a vegetarian life (light, crispy, delicately seasoned)...but then I try the harissa shrimp or branzino and decide I'd at least need to go pescatarian...then the steak and chicken arrive, and I'm back in my omnivorous heaven. Cocktails are creative and tasty. Love the unique wine selection which I'm told changes often because no one else really orders them...had a delightful Turkish red (never had a Turkish wine) and saw some other interesting ones. Ambience is relaxed, and the servers are outstanding. Very helpful and welcoming, as if you're sitting down to dinner at a friend's house. Absent incredible luck, you will need a reservation. But don't be discouraged by how far out you need to go...it'll be worth the wait, and if you have some flexibility, join the wait lists, as seats open a fair amount, though often on short notice.

Although the space is tight I love the ambiance of the place, everyone is very chatty and close and the bar is nicely put together, service is amazing and quick and their food is delicious! Not over hyped and worth the wait!

Meesh Meesh is our favorite restaurant in town. We sign up to be notified for an available table at least once a month if we can't get a reservation first go. The salatim is a perk--both of us get it as long as one of us orders an entree, and you get refills. My husband always orders the steak with the jalapeño shatta & sauce that tastes like tahini dressing mixed with chimichurri. We usually get the tuna tartare, too, served with perfectly crisp pani puri. Sad the hummus isn't on the salatim rotation right now, but glad the baba ghanoush still is. The Turkish coffee & halva sundae (dairy-free) are a perfect end to the meal (or worth going in for alone).

We were here for bock fest and happened upon a line outside Meesh Meesh. They don't open until 5 and had no reservations but had a limited menu to go for fest goers. We got the smash kebab pita and the sumac aid drink, and they were both delicious! The sumac aid would've been even better mixed with a lemonade! The staff serving the line was so friendly! Hoping to be back for a meal at the restaurant next time!

Rarely have I had an experience worth 5 stars, but this is one of them. Walking into a medium/low lit room with beautiful wooden floors and earth tones covering the walls. Honestly if you have a group of 3 or more I'd recommend getting the Shefha, you get to try so many different things within the courses. Choose the upgrades every time.. all the way down to the dessert this place doesn't disappoint.

I honestly didn't know what to expect but I have zero complaints. The service was good and the food was even better. We had a table of 5 and did the option where we shared items amongst the table. I will definitely be back.

Meesh Meesh was such a culinary experience! I taught in Bahrain and traveled around to some of the surrounding countries. My palette had deja vu with the flavors! Shefha is the way to go if it's your first time visiting so that you can try a large variety. Everything was phenomenal but my favorites were the matbucha, fresh pita, (AMAZING, saffron + pumpkin seed) rice, and the pumpkin dish in the Salatim platter. The service was on point, with the next plate arriving just as we finished the previous plate.

I understand the hype. It's more than hype. It's pure magic. Three of us strolled in around 7:30p on a Friday evening knowing full well there was little-to-no chance of us getting seated given this place is booked out months in advance with a long waitlist. Lo and behold the dining gods and goddesses were shining down upon us because the host was able to seat us immediately with a 50-minute time constraint before the next guests arrived. No problem. Deal sealed. The interior is a twinkly-light dream, reminiscent of an outdoor Mediterranean terrace but crafted indoors. The server was friendly and direct and gave us great suggestions on how to smartly pair our dishes since we were ordering a variety of apps to share. Everything we enjoyed was life-defining, the best of everything I've ever had: the best hummus, the best beets, the best pickled veggies, the best falafel. I've never had whipped labneh or Zaatar fries, but I'm sure they are the best I will ever have. They also had gluten-free pita, and that was the best (and only) I've ever had. My cocktail was also out of this world, and I'm still dreaming about it: the Two Birds, One Stone, and the ratio of ingredients made it the smoothest, silkiest, most deliciously understated drink of my life. For everything we ordered, I felt the price was extremely reasonable. And the service was perfect. Between ordering and eating, we strolled out of the restaurant one minute before the next reservation was scheduled to arrive. Only snafu was we split the check in two ways between 3 guests, and the server added the written-in tip to the wrong check, which I discovered a couple days later. I emailed management, and they very graciously and quickly amended the error. Very impressive response time for a busy and popular restaurant. I am in love with this place, and will make every effort to return the next time I'm in town.

We've heard about Meesh Meesh for so long and finally had the opportunity to visit with some friends that planned a few months in advance! Yes, it's true, you have to make reservations 60+ days in advance. We were lucky enough to get invited to share a table with friends. We arrived a little early and the table was ready for us. There were six of us so we had a cozy circular booth towards the back of the restaurant. As a table, we ended up ordering a la carte but shared several appetizers including the hummus and cauliflower. It was also recommended to purchase extra bread to accompany our dishes. The appetizers were beautifully presented in circular bronze dishes. They were all very good on their own. The bread was the real show stealer... fluffy and moist and accompanied the dips perfectly. Then came out another appetizer that accompanies all main dishes of smaller apps including pumpkin hummus, pickled vegetables, etc. that also came with bread! Next up, main dishes and I was pretty stuffed at that time. My chicken dish was a half chicken, so extremely large. It was served on more crispy bread, which soaked in all the sauce and onions. Pricing was $45. My husband ordered the branzino fish, which was open - the presentation was beautiful but many bones were found. This dish was $71! All in all we enjoyed the meal, but it was on the pricier side. Glad we finally got to try it.

Our dining experience for 2 was above and beyond. Reservations are a must, but once you have those in order here were some highlights! 1.) Table Service was amazing, very detailed and attentive. 2.) Cocktails were some of the best in town! 3.) Atmosphere is very intimate and warm, very relaxing. 4.) The food is out of this world, you have to get the Turkish coffee alongside the dessert!

We were finally able to score bar seats for 2 on a Saturday night. I had been excited to try Meesh Meesh for months and was very happy with our experience. The place is small so I can see why it is difficult to make a reservation. I loved the looked and feel of the restaurant. We sat side by side at the bar and ordered a round of cocktails. I enjoyed my apricot margarita and for dinner a delicious Greek white wine. Each entree comes with their appetizer tray. We loved everything on it especially the hummus. They even had gluten free pita for my husband that tasted amazing. For dinner he ordered the delicious steak and I got the whole branzino. Wow--what a dish. It had pine nuts and crispy melt in your mouth toppings. The flavors of everything were so unique to the usual Louisville restaurant scene which explains its popularity. Even though we had plenty of food we topped the night off with the Halva Sundae--cherries, roasted hazelnuts and bits of halva on top. Yum! This restaurant is a must try. It was so good that I made another reservation with the host before we left. He said that is the best way to do it. But note: they are booking at least 2 months out. It is worth the wait!

In the cup was rice pudding and rhubarb. The pastry tasted like chocolate cinnamon roll and had similar texture!

This restaurant is worth the hype! One of the best meals I have ever had!!! I chose to celebrate my 44th birthday here and everyone was so gracious and accommodating. Originally when I placed the reservation, about two weeks before hand, I was told I could sit at the bar because that was all that was available. I stated that I preferred not to sit at the bar and the staff stated that they couldn't make any promises but they would try. When I checked in the hostess remembered and said we were able to get you a patio seat on this beautiful day. Way to go MeeshMeesh! My server was phenomenal! I ordered the Sefha which is a ton of food! It's a traditional tasting with three courses and the Saltim. The server let me try two Mezzes which was great but I didn't eat it all bc the first dish, which I'd like to think of has spiced tomatoes was Exquisite!!! I could have licked the bowl. If I had to make a dying wish for one last meal, it would be it. I had a dish similar to Steak Frites as the main and it was cooked correctly and delicious. It was served with rice and the that was great too! The server brought me all three deserts one which was vegan. They were all lovely! I had a ton of leftovers which was boxed up for me to take home. What's was suppose to be a $100 meal ended up being $70 because the server and others on the team decided to treat me for my birthday. MeeshMeesh is truly EPIC!!!!

I walked in around 5:15pm on a monday night, with plans for a friend to join me around 5:30. The sign at the host station said to wait to be seated. So I waited. And waited. and waited... Folks walked in after me, waited for a bit and then sat themselves at the bar. But I did not want to sit at the bar, we wanted to sit at a table. The server seemed to be willfully ignoring me and avoiding my attempts at eye contact. The bartender was taking care of everyone at the bar as well as making drinks for the rest of the patrons too, he saw me eventually and was looking around for the server or (nonexistent?) host to help me out. The bartender ultimately told me that I could just seat myself wherever I wanted, so I did. There were maybe 3 table seated at this point, it was not that busy. Then it took yet another chunk of time (6 pages read in my book I never leave home without) before I got water and menus. I was frustrated but was looking forward to seeing my friend and was ready to make the most of it. All that said, I like the vibe of the space. The dark, cozy vibes. We came because we wanted cocktails and something to nosh on. And eventually we got that. We shared a flatebread and an Asian-inspired hushpuppy sort of situation. They were pretty tasty and nice to have with our cocktails. The cocktail list is longer than expected and with a lot of intriguing sounding offerings. The two I had were very tasty and delicious! I would maybe come back again and sit at the bar so a solo visit if I had a stretch of time and no rush. My overall memory of the visit is still about the over-long wait/being ignored for such a long time after entering.
