I love how they've preserved the church vibe. The entrance still has that "churchy" feel, the booths are made from pews, and you can even sit on the stage next to the beautiful stained glass windows. It's a very cool atmosphere. The crowd seemed to mostly be locals, which is always a good sign in my book--if the locals are there, it must be a solid spot. While many were picking up baked goods, there were plenty of people enjoying lunch as well. Since "bakery" is in their name, my expectations were high, and I wasn't disappointed. They offer a wide variety of cookies, and their cakes and pies looked absolutely tempting. We tried a good mix of cookies (more than half a dozen!) and each one tasted homemade and delicious. As for the food, it was good but not extraordinary. My husband and I both went for the half-sandwich combo. I had the chicken salad on homemade white bread with a side of vegetable soup, while he had the turkey club on homemade seven-grain bread, paired with house-made chips. It was all tasty, but nothing to write home about. I wish they offered lattes instead of just filter coffee, but that's just me loving lattes. The service, however, was fantastic. The staff was friendly, attentive, and very patient as I took my time selecting cookies. They really added to the welcoming vibe of the place. I'll definitely be back, mostly for the baked goods and excellent service. Can't wait to try even more cookies next time!

The Harper's were wonderful people and cared about their customers

I usually get the keto bread. It tastes like regular bread, but the texture is a little softer, moisturer, and more crumbly than whole wheat bread. The texture is not odd at all, just different. My hubby even likes this bread. It makes great sammies and perfect toast. When I walked into the store, there were lots of treat samples at the front counter. The nice young lady working that afternoon didn't even bat an eye as I taste tested almost all of those samples. LOL! I ended up also getting a slice of the "COW" (cake of the week). That week, the COW was candy bar cake. It was a wonderful well balanced treat. I find that I can't tell that their cakes, cookies, pies, and many other items are actually gluten free. They are simply delish! This bakery attracts even avid gluten eaters because you can tell a lot of care and quality ingredients go into their goods. That is the telltale mark of any good bakery. This place is in a small strip mall. There is adequate parking and I've never had to street park unless it's holiday season. I enjoy having such a tasty place to give my body a break from gluten.

I went in hoping for either a big beautiful chocolate chip cookie likely made with either almond flour or coconut flour or a yummy lemon bar. I was said to see mostly cupcakes and chocolate chip cookies that had about 4 visible chocolate chips per cookie. No thank you. I was pleasantly surprised to see the bakery also has a case filled with prepared foods as soon as you enter. The food refrigerator is just to the left of the entrance. I think Unrefined Bakery is an excellent concept and the cookie recipe could use an upgrade.

Truly an experience found easily on W. Victory Blvd. in Fort Worth, the Swiss pastry shop is unique. There is something for everyone to be found here from cookies to amazing pies and cheesecake slathered with cherry topping. Helper chose cherry pop over. The pastry was not as normally expected flaky, it was a beautiful delicious bite, filled with cherry filling, nearly like a jelly filled doughnut. The greatest compliment I can pay a pastry shop is that I might go in for one bear claw and come out satisfied. Today we went in for oatmeal cookies and came out with two boxes because we couldn't decide which one we wanted more. I just see from the attached photos. We came out with two boxes one filled with cookies and one filled with pastries because one box was not going to be enough. We are not a family of eight, so we're going to have to fill ourselves up or find some really sweet friends to share with soon. You will not be disappointed, and we saw they also are offering coffee. We had ours brewing at home so we continued on our drive. Give them a try if you have not there are gluten-free options available as well. Last I forget, the service was exceptional worthy of 5+ stars and the ambience is smells as delicious as it looks, and lots of smiles all around, especially from the patrons

The person behind the counter was happy to tell me all about their pastries and what is popular. She also took time to explain their gluten free products when I asked. I ended up with a cinnamon roll, a cream cheese pocket, a cream cheese croissant, Black Forest cookie and a little almond cake that I can't remember the name! I loved everything, particular the cream cheese croissant. Highly recommend Swiss Pastry Shop! If I was local I would be a regular for sure.
