Holy cake tasting!!! First of all, this tiny little cake joint is in the cutest area with so much charm. In fact, our entire experience was charming. We had the extreme pleasure of meeting Mama Loft22 (the owner's mom) and her granddaughter. I had read online that cake tastings were only available if the wedding was 100 or more people. Ours is less than 1/2 that so, we went in and bought a slice of every cake available which meant we brought home SIX slices, pictured below. Hands down and unanimously, the White Amaretto AND the Strawberries and Champagne, were our faves. Not too sweet, icing isn't too heavy and the flavoring is oh so delicate. Those are wedding picks. If it was a birthday cake, we all leaned towards the Cookie Monster or, even better, the amazing Mint Chocolate Chip. The owner's mom was just the sweetest, friendliest woman. Very informative and clearly proud of her baby's success. We really enjoyed our home tasting and the experience at the store.
I ordered my absolutely delicious cake for my 50th bday online. The process was easy and the communication was as well. The staff is super friendly and funny. I didn't get her name, but she's helped me twice now. Thanks, for the service! My guest's couldn't wait to get their hands on a piece of my cake. I'm a cake-aholic so I'm always ready for cake!! I couldn't have been more pleased. Best birthday and best cake ever! Yummy
Oh my gosh! Add Loft22 Cakes to your list of places to try when you need to satisfy your sweet tooth. I couldn't decide what to get so I ordered one of everything that they were offering on this particular day. They had chocolate birthday, vanilla birthday, orange sherbet and strawberry margarita cupcakes. They also had a butterscotch banana pudding that is THE BOMB! It was perfection! I highly recommend them! They were so friendly and worth every penny! I was told by the owner that the orange sherbet is their best seller and it tastes just like a dreamsicle. Well...it does! Oh my gosh! I'm not even a dreamsicle type of girl, but it was definitely my favorite cupcake from my batch. Right now with COVID, they are only offering curbside so be sure to call and tell them what you want over the phone. They will take your order and payment over the phone and bring it out to your car. I didn't feel rushed on the phone at all. The owner took the time to tell me about every single menu item that was available (since it was my first time) and this was the main reason that I felt compelled to order everything :) Kindness goes a long way! The gentleman that brought out my order was so fun and energetic and even spoke to my kids in the car. I will definitely make this a regular stop for sweet treats!
I picked up the strawberry cake last weekend for a surprise party, I couldn't run in to get it because I just had a pedicure (poorly timed). Her granddaughter was sweet enough to run it out to my car. The cake.... WAS...SO GOOD!!!!!!! It was the talk of the party. The buttercream wasn't heavy, the cake was super moist. Ms. Lofton is my new cake Grandma!!! Highly recommended!!!!
This was a VERY disappointing experience. My sister needed a cake for a christening/ 1st birthday and provided the picture on the left along with an explanation of what we wanted. She asked that it not have any flowers or macrons and that the colors be ombré. Upon pick up there was no one to consult about the poor outcome of the cake and she was forced to take this home. As soon as the cake made it home the cross broke into pieces. This cake was needed for a very special event and the cake was supposed to be a wow factor. Compared to the cakes on the website this isn't 50% of the quality shown. When we contacted someone about it they said "what's the difference?". This is appalling.
I went in all I knew was I wanted a cake, that couldn't be ordinary. Mama (the owners mom) told me to sit down and she took the time to look thru books, social media sites, to help me generate some ideas. But nothing I saw matched the I couldn't I had in mind, but couldn't translate into words. Then I showed "mama" my invitation, and she replied "email the invitation" and give her creative freedom and you won't be disappointed. I did and I wasn't! I walked in today to pick-up and mama told me to close my eyes, and y'all when I opened them I was like OMG...WOW it was perfect it was totally aligned with the color scheme and design of the invitation. The cake was delicious and had everyone smacking their lips and several asked for a larger piece! Even the restaurant staff was commenting on how beautiful the cake was. Oh, did I mention she got it done in less than a week. The level of customer service I received was excellent!! If you need a cake for a special event Loft 22 is place to go.
Her cakes are beautiful and they are hit or miss whether or not you will get a good slice or a dry slice. However the customer service is why I am giving it a one star. I wanted to order my wedding cake from here. I was dead set on it because of the beautiful cakes. I reached out to inquire and was told to take screenshots of cakes I like, email and I could get a quote... okay, not the most personable service, but whatever. So I called to order a tasting box. It cost me $30 for what I thought would be 6 flavors ($5 each) and they had my pay over the phone when I ordered it but said it would be available until a week later. When I showed up to pick it up, the door was locked, the people inside saw me at the door but never came to the door to ask why I was there. I had already tried calling and it went to voicemail. When I tried again and explained why I was there they asked me which flavors I had ordered.... are you kidding me? I've been here for 30 mins now waiting on something I ordered and paid for last week. I've gotten tasting boxes from other bakeries that have included more flavors and cost less. They have gotten them to me with a day or two notice. Guess they don't want my business.
Well we tried twice to order a cake from this unprofessional back door storefront and it was truly a HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT! We will not go back and will not try to order a cake. We tried twice.. we were told no they couldn't make a graduation cake, after TWO WEEKS of waiting for an email! Should of went with the bad reviews. Good luck with your short lived tp cake!
With the launch of their signature cakes, I needed to order ASAP. The animals cookies cake was delicious. The concept is fun and the size is perfect for a few people. I say a few, cause I'm taking the rest home. So many flavors to try. Looking forward to ordering more in the future.
Paid $150 for this 6 inch round cake. I wanted something grand with plenty of roses. I gave them creative freedom with it they told me they would add a splash of color. Shouldn't have been charged $150 for this.

So, we ordered a custom cake for our son's 11th birthday and requested a gaming theme in the flavor milk and cereal, and gave them creative freedom over the design. We paid exactly $195. I go to pick up the cake and it's their specialty cake with a Xbox fondant game controller on top and play station buttons on the front of the cake. I was pissed. I call the store and express that we ordered and paid for a custom cake not one of their specialty cakes. The owner comes out side and says "That's what happens when you give creative control, you may or may not like it". I told her that's the problem, it's lacking the creative part and is not a custom birthday cake. She goes on to tell me she doesn't want me to think all they did was put a controller on top of their specialty cake, and I'm told her well that's exactly what you did and charged me for a custom cake. She recommends adding some color buttercream to the cake and I agree for the sake of trying to improve the experience, but that only made the sloppily made fondant pieces slip off. Now get this, it's the day of the party so we have no time to order or get another cake so I have no choice but to take the cake. We cut into the cake and it's not the flavor we ordered. I was pissed. We ordered the cereal and milk flavor and got vanilla or plain white cake, couldn't quite tell. Very disappointing experience, I had high hopes for this bakery and hoped they'd be my go to spot. The owner had no accountability and refused to acknowledge they'd done a poor sloppy job. The first picture is their specialty cake, which if I had ordered that would of been $75. The second picture is the supposed custom cake we paid $195. Mins you the blue/green color was added only after I complained, otherwise it would of looked identical to the first picture. Instead of attempting to resolve the issue, they've blocked me on Instagram.

They did our baby shower cake! It was absolutely beautiful and sooo delicious. People raves about the cake for several weeks after. Not to mention, April is the absolute sweetest We will definitely be back for any other events (especially the twins 1st birthday smash cakes) or cravings! read more

"Absolutely superb" does not even begin to describe the talents of Loft 22 Cakes. I found this company on Instagram, after scrolling through the local foodie profiles, and I'm glad I did! I am the Office & Marketing Manager for a local architecture firm and was planning the 25 year anniversary event when I hit a brick wall on where to get the cake. I had tried a couple of the cake places in the area and they were simply not up to par. One day, while scrolling my profile, Loft 22 showed up on my Instagram feed and I figured that it was worth a shot to try a taste of those beautiful cakes! We booked a tasting with Tareka, the owner of Loft 22. Tareka prepared us SIX different samples of cakes. As we were going over the cake design, I found myself having a difficult time concentrating as the cake was so good that my mouth was tingling! I was sold! We decided on a three tier cake, with two of those being the vanilla/peach preserve and one tier being chocolate. Loft 22 made the design process effortless, as Tareka made sure at every step that we were getting exactly what we wanted, and we did! I must note, this is not your average 3 tiered cake. Most large cakes are dry especially when they must hold up multiple tiers plus fondant. Tareka has perfected the art of a beautiful moist large-tiered cake. I don't know how she does it, honestly. Loft 22 delivered the cake earlier than the proposed 2 hours before the event, and we were stunned! The photos explain themselves, and we will be using Loft 22 for all of our future events! Side note: while we were having our tasting, we decided to grab lunch at Loft 22 as she had two sandwich options in addition to cookies, dog cupcakes, coffee, etc. We grabbed a couple of her chicken salad sandwiches on a croissant bun. After taking them back to the office we were stunned at how delicious they were! Loft 22 can do it all! read more

I looove this place! For starters their staff is so nice. I have had about three different interactions with three different people, each time they were the most professional and the nicest. The first time, I ordered an orange sherbert cupcake and that was really good. This last time I went I ordered two slices of the BlackOut cake and it was sooo good. If you look at the their Instagram pages you can see all of their beautiful and creative creations. Their cakes are tasty and beautifu! read more

One of the best bakery's in Fort Worth you want be disappointed. The cake was for my wife for graduating nursing school. The cake displayed beautiful art work and tasted amazing when I picked up the cake I think I seen Michelangelo behind the counter lol. read more

I have been meaning to write this review since February! Time completely got away from me. I cannot tell you how impressed I am by this bakery. First of all customer service - fantastic from start to finish! So easy, so friendly. Secondly, the cake was incredible!!! I mean...not only was the appearance 10 times better than I could have imagined, it tasted amazing!! People at my sisters baby shower were raving over this cake. It was one less thing I had to worry or fret about because the entire experience was so smooth. Thank you for making this special for my little sisters celebration! read more
