Of course, I tried the Black Forest Cake - it was an unpleasant surprise for me. It's crunchy!!! I'm told it's their own classic recipe and it's what they're known for. It was very sweet and clearly the baker who made it was very skilled. I would not even call it cake though... it wasn't moist, chewy or chocolate-y. It had a light, sweet, melt-on-the-tongue crispy airiness. I'll have to try something different the next time I'm in - and I'll be sure to ask the staff for recommendations, so I'm not taken unawares again.
