We got there today (Saturday) right at opening and the hostess was very friendly and seated us right away on the patio! Beautiful day! Loved it! Dawn was our waitress. She was great--start to finish! So attentive, so friendly! We really enjoyed her! And...we had a great meal! Caprese melt and the Philly! And fried green beans!! The strawberry blonde was very tasty! It was a great day for a drive from the Valley and glad we stopped at this place! We will be back up!! Thank you! read more

Went for dinner with friends so we brought the growlers in for a refill. Their beers are very good, I'm partial to the Strawberry Blonde as I'm not a big fan of dark ales, but this one is fruity and not 'heavy' We sat outside as it was almost sunset and cool enough to be comfortable. We were seated quickly and started deciding what we were going to order; drinks came fairly quickly, my Moscow Mule was good and gingery, the others had the brewery's own ale beer. Our server Americus was absolutely wonderful: as usual I explained my severe allergy to peppers in general and specifically any type of chile. She went inside to consult their "allergy" food list and came back with what I could safely eat. She's the only person ever, here in AZ, to have gone and double-checked the various dishes to keep me safe. Thank you so much Americus :)) We shared the fried green beans - deliciously crispy :) - with the wasabi mayonnaise dip for them; also had the onion rings that were nice and crispy, and although tempting to get a second order of appetizers ....we decided to go on to the mains. Mine was the Patty Melt on rye and fries, cooked medium rare as I like it, with onions on the side, the other orders were the Whisky Bacon burger that was looking very good as well, and another diner had a big salad - not sure which TBH because I was busy eating ...oops! The evening was nice and the patio had a few dogs: Yes, it is dog friendly !! We left sated, with replenished growlers, and looking forward to next time. read more

My husband and I came here for drinks and food on a Friday evening. It wasn't super busy when we arrived. Lots of parking available and indoor/outdoor seating. We decided to sit outside since the weather was nice but ended up moving inside because of all the mosquitos. During our time outside, we did see elk across the street and our waitress said that sometimes they come right up to the patio fence. Super cool. We ordered a flight of beer, coconut shrimp and the August food special : Quesabirrias. The beer was decent and both food items were good. Jaime was our waitress and was very nice and helpful. They usually have live music on the weekends and make homemade cobbler everyday which I really wanted to try but was to full. read more

We had such a great time at That Brewery and Pub! The outdoor seating is fantastic, with games for the kids that kept them happily entertained. The atmosphere was fun and lively during our visit--karaoke was going strong and really added to the good vibes. Our servers were super friendly and attentive the whole time, which made the experience even better. The kids loved their chicken tenders and fries. My husband and I shared the Elk Cheeseburger with fries (he said it was phenomenal!) and the Smoked Brisket Sandwich. The brisket has a nice jalapeño kick that packs a punch--definitely spicy in the best way if you like a little heat! We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend! read more

We went to dinner at That Brewery and really loved the food. We went on a Tuesday night which was karaoke night on the patio. We aren't much for karaoke so we sat inside in the dining room. The hostess and servers were friendly. We ordered the Chicken Fried Steam Sandwich (Seasonal Special not always available year round) and also the Arizona Dip sandwich. The food was great and I'd return if ever in Pine again! read more

We have a house in pine and sometimes it is nice to go out to eat. The big draw is they have a large patio that is dog friendly. There is heaters over the tables. It was not very cold but the heat felt good. I had a brisket sandwich and my wife had the patty melt on rye. Patty melt was more than my wife could eat. Made a great lunch next day. My brisket was good also. We will definitely be eating here many more times. The waitress was very helpful. read more

Stopped in while staying in the area and sure glad we did! Great brewery with excellent food. Being our first time, I went with a flight of beer to try as many as I could. You get 6 for $10, which is a steal. My favorites were the Mexican Lager and Strawberry Blonde. They were delicious! We were impressed with how good the food was! We did the wings, fried green beans, truffle fries, and the Southwestern Smoked Chicken sandwich. Would recommend them all! Everything was fresh and very well made. So good! Only knock was the service. It seems that they're understaffed so there was 1 server for the whole dining area. Not her fault, she was a gem, but long waits.. If you're coming to town, THAT is a excellent choice to visit! Sit outside, enjoy the weather, and have some great food and drinks. We will be back! read more

this was a solid blast stop on our trip to Strawberry. They've got some good beer and very kind servers. The food is just all right, but it is your typical brewery type food. The fried green beans were tasty and the portions are big. I recommend sitting outside. read more

We weren't hungry and only came in for a couple beers. This time of year (March) they are closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays which was kind of a bummer. They close at 8pm on Tuesdays, I understand this isn't a late nite sort of town. Nice ambiance, bartender was friendly and helpful. This seems like a good place to watch a game on TV. The food we saw other people eating looked good. read more

Once you figure out the hours they are open...come by. Pine has limited options for food and this is one of the better ones. Had the southwest pulled/smoked chicken sammie today and it was really good. Homemade macaroni/shell salad was really solid and fresh. Roadrash IPA was awesome. Now I know the hours and will always refer to who is open for when I come for my quarterly visit. read more

Really cool place to visit in Pine! Lots of dining space and the servers are very friendly. We had lunch there and food was great, and the fried pickle spears for an appetizer are really unique and tasty. They have a bunch of local beer options that are great. We got a beer sample flight for $10 with their local options. All of them very fantastic and I am excited to come back again to try the seasonal flavors in the fall read more

Man the specials tonight were bomb! Had the wings in this Thai sauce and this perfectly fried zucchini. There was live music. Absolutely I perfect Mother's Day. We stopped in for a bite on a rainy Monday afternoon and all the staff were really nice and welcoming. We split an elk/beef burger and onion rings. My husband had a West Coast IPA and I had a glass of the homemade kombucha. Really mild and tasty and one of the best I've ever had! We talked to the bartender who actually made it in house, and she explained the process. It was delicious, not vinegary at all. We're definitely going to head back on a nicer day because they had several nice patio areas. We'll be back. Oh and a bonus we got to see an elk crossing the street as we pulled into the parking lot! read more

Service was good, drinks were good. Very homey ambiance feel. The food was less than average, it all sounded very good but was just meh. My boyfriend I both got separate chicken dishes, the chicken took about 3 and half weeks to chew as it was so dry. The baked mac was a little better. May just stick to drinks next time read more

I don't know why this brewery does not have a better rating, that puzzles me?! We went to the Tonto natural bridge and specifically drove to this brewery just for the food! The outside sitting area is awesome. It is dog friendly. There's game for kids and it's all around. Awesome. I had the fried chicken burger and it was so juicy messy delicious !!! I decided to try and be healthy since it was fried and got the celery and carrots instead of french fries! Since my side was celery and carrots, I had to order more ranch and it was disappointing that I had to pay for it considering they're so small & half full, of course you are going to need more!. ‍ thumbs down only on that part. So I was with two more people, and we all loved what we had, raved about it and left 1000% satisfied! A friend had the same sandwich as me but fries, and the hubs had the recommended most popular burger read more

Stopped for lunch on the way home from payson. It was Friday around 1:30. The server forgot to put in our beer order, then our appetizer order . Appetizer was the best thing we had- the pretzel is super soft and hot. We had it with the beer cheese (also ordered the mustard but wasn't brought that). Appetizer came only a couple minutes before our meal came. I had the shandy- it was ok, my bf the Mexican lager which he said was good. We both had the whiskey burger- a little dry, small patty and not much sauce. I had the garlic potatoes- horrible no flavor. My bf- fries and a side of coleslaw- not tasty. My bf asked for no blue cheese and instead cheddar, found blue cheese on Half the patty. Sitting outside was nice though. Would not return. read more

I really enjoyed That Brewery. The staff was so friendly, the food was yummy and the beers were cold and tasty. I'm an IPA guy but I do recommend the Strawberry Blonde Alw, especially if it's warm outside. That Brewery is a laid back atmosphere, awesome views of the pine trees and an awesome patio area. Looking forward to going back next time I'm in a Pine Az. read more

Ordered for takeout. Ordered a pound of "smoked" brisket. Not even a hint of smoke flavor. It tasted reheated. The macaroni salad was good. Shells with an Italian style dressing. The sliders were very good, my son tore those up! The help was very friendly and welcoming. The patio is huge, there was live music, and the ambiance was nice. I would probably give it another shot next time I'm up this way and avoid the "smoked" meats. read more

The service is outstanding! The wait help is great! Food is yummy and my dogs enjoyed the outside patio. Hope to return soon!

Love the food and the people. The atmosphere is nice on the patio. One of our favorites.

Have visited here several times...This is a nice, relaxed place for outside seating in both winter and summer...Great for dogs! The beer is good and the menu doesn't offer a whole lot of variety but most of the stuff I've ordered has been good. The fried zucchini, warm Caesar salad, and the elk chili are probably their best items... sometimes the brisket is tough and other times, it's fine... The ladies that work there are rough around the edges, surly types--sometimes friendly, mainly tired and disheveled looking.... but maybe that's part of the charm?.. read more

A person must start with the Ambiance. It is big for the area. Bring your animal, come as you are, no valet parking. We were just at That Brewery for the yearly German Beer and food. Wow did the Chef knock it out of the park with the food. So many people and the food came out just prepared and hot with a great taste. Music by DJ LaRue who tries to always make it to DJ their events because he too loves these people. The place as set up to play games, lots for the kids to run range free. If you are arriving from the south it will surprise you as it is the first building when you hit town. Highly recommended. read more

Google website said it was open but is closed for renovation, thanks for the not heads up so I wasted a drive there

The Strawberry Blonde and Blackwood Blondes were both refreshing on a hot day. Bummed that they were out of many of their beers. I think the rest of any great pub/brewery is their burgers. I enjoyed the Southwest burger with green chilis and pepper jack cheese. Oh...and a side of beer cheese to dip my fries didn't upset me at all! Server was friendly and I love an outdoor patio! Will definitely make this a regular stop when passing through Pine, AZ! read more

I've stopped in here a few times before when visiting Pine and it's always been a good time. The patio was enclosed (during the cold months) to keep out the cold and is dog friendly. We were really excited to try this place when we went up to Strawberry for our anniversary and it ended up not living up to the hype- it was okay. The best thing that we had was our appetizer which was the pretzel and cheese. The cobbler smells delicious but I'd pass on it as it didn't taste too great. The patio is nice and big- and the view was pretty with deer eating around us. Service was a bit slow and there were not that many people there when we were there. There are other places in the area that are a lot better for what you are spending. If you are gluten free- they have really good gluten free bread for their sandwiches or burgers. My friend and I split a burger and the chicken salad sandwich. The chicken salad was delicious. The burger was fine- just like any ole burger. Our server was very friendly and accomodating. I will say things move a bit slowly here, so make sure you aren't in a rush. There is a large outdoor patio where you can sit or plenty of indoor seating as well. Lots of parking. read more

This took the difficult-to-fill final slot for our Pine-Strawberry trip dinner restaurant list. I am terribly sorry to rate it this low, several issues but primarily the wait time for our food (and everyone else's in the dining room) was unreasonably long especially for the quality, on a Saturday night. Thankfully, we ordered a small order of mild chicken wings to share soon after we were seated, which came maybe 15 minutes later, so we had something in our stomachs to hold us over. They were a solid 4/5 if not better. Spice was closer to medium which we would've chosen if an option, so perfect. We placed our entree orders while eating the wings. Little did we know it would be an hour until that next course hit the table. So yeah, the anticipation was building for what turned out to be some very average-to-good food. I had the portobello sandwich (vegetarian) - the mushroom was cooked really nicely and was flavorful with some tasty Swiss cheese melted on top and standard other toppings. "Brioche bun" seemed to be a pretty typical packaged hamburger bun, with a little too much surface area relative to the mushroom. Other dishes ordered by our table were burgers - decent but not memorable. Sides were mediocre, uninventive slaw and fries served somewhere between room temp and warm. Not sure if the long wait time was specific to the dining room or if the patio also had issues. There was live music out there (honestly not great) that was super loud. We converse at the dinner table so it was not an option for us to sit out there. The wall barely muffled it enough and with other music playing inside it was kind of overwhelming. Also there was only a single functioning toilet off the dining room so that was constantly in use and not really pleasant to listen to. We also only got one update on our dinner's status throughout all this, which was when our food was "on the grill" and they offered us a free dessert which we just didn't want - limited options and, might've had us there another hour! We'll be checking out some other restaurants on our future visits to Pine. read more

We are not typical brewery people. We're not big drinkers and bar food types but we found ourselves in The Pines for a little getaway. Most of the food up there was bar food so we chose "That Brewery" based on the reviews. I don't know that I've had better bar food anywhere. It was exceptional, we were able to bring our dogs, hang out on the patio and enjoy some very delicious burgers and fries and even their coleslaw was spectacular. The meat for the burger was a very high-quality. I was surprised. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Coming from a food connoisseur who has sold meat and seafood for a decade. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by the food here. It was really good. I'm familiar with the beer because you can find it throughout the valley but I didn't expect the food to be as good as it was. The service was also really quick, attentive and pleasant. The spinach artichoke dip came out hot and delicious. I loved the bread that was with it too. I think I was a daily special rather than a regular menu item. The smoked brisket sandwich was also amazing surprisingly chewy and a nice crunch/hint of sourness from the pickles. I'll definitely be back for more than just beer again. read more
