After endless hours watching "Brad Mondo" and "Guy Tang" on YouTube during quarantine, I decided it'd be wise to give my cousin permission to bleach my hair. What's the worst that can happen, right? Well let me tell you, my hair didn't fall off (lucky me) but after bleaching my hair *twice* I ended up with about 3-4 different shades of brassy blonde, JUST what I was going for. (Insert cringe face here) So then I decided to make a quick stop by Sally's to get a toner that would, maybe, hopefully allow me to be able to walk outside without a hat on. Well because of quarantine , Sally's had NOTHING. But I was told by the "professionals" there that I could use Lavender semi- permanent hair dye to "cool it down". Again, I granted permission to my lovely cousin to apply this dye to "cool it down". I mean, I already had 3-4 different shades of brassy hair, whats the worst that can happen, right? Well, the worst that can happen is my hair falling off, again got lucky! But my hair did turn a nice baby blue, grey, and silver. That's about how "cooled down it got". Well at that point, I decided I HAD to call a professional before my hair fell off trying to "fix it" I had previously tried another salon nearby that had good reviews, but was unimpressed at the service provided. So I decided to give Thairapy a try. I called told them about my situation and they were able book an appointment for me that same day!! I was scheduled with Michelle. Words CANNOT describe how great she is at what she does!!! She gave me a consultation. She tested my hair before deciding it was safe to proceed (caz you know bleaching your hair twice, and then dyeing it does things to your hair) She surpassed any and all expectations! My before and after photo does NOT do Michelle's work any justice! Conversation with her was so great, it's not forced like with some stylist. She is down to Earth, total judge-free zone. I finally found THE salon and THE Stylist for me. Thank you Melissa. The salon is clean, roomy, organized and stylish! I have felt intimidated walking into other salons in AZ in the past, but today, I felt like I was treated, like a person, who they liked. Alexis is a MAGICIAN! The pictures speaks for itself but she took two years of me putting myself on the back burner (mom life) and made me feel beautiful and more like myself again. Came in with Andrea to have a "color correction" done. Had two options in mind as to what I wanted to do. She was 30 minutes late starting our appointment and wasn't super friendly through the entire service. She had overbooked herself so she had just finished foils on someone else when I was supposed to be starting my hair. Upon going over my ideas, we decided to go with a deep purple to a light purple color. She said my hair was healthy and it'd be totally fine to do it. She bleached my hair white, which I found odd as I've had vibrant colors and never had my hair so white. When she brushed it all out there were piles of my hair on the floor. Did the purple color. While cutting it she continued to ask me if I had bangs. No, my hair was one length for years. She put in product, dried and styled my hair. It seemed good. Next morning I was my hair and all the product out. I discovered my hair had broken off all over. Literally went from shoulder blade length to noticeable chunks of 3 inch hair ALL OVER. When I contacted her, not a single apology. Just excuses and an offer to do cuts/treatments on my hair. After spending I think the total was $450 with tip and everything, I had to go out and spend another $240 on Olaplex products to try to save my hair from continuing to fall out. I decided after a few days of more and more chunks coming out I didn't trust her to touch my hair. I contacted the owner directly and she offered to set me up with another stylist, was supposed to call the following day. Here we are, 2 days later and no phone call. Still missing my hair and well over $700. I've used professionals for my hair my entire life except 2 occasions. The only other bad experience I had like this was at Great Clips when I was 18 and dumb enough to let them give me a pixie. JYou expect this out of a salon like that.. not a place you spend substantial money at, that's highly rated. I truly hope the money she made was worth a woman spending the next several years having to grow her hair back out and repair the damage she caused. Thank you. read more

She turned my view around completely. She has a wonderfully delightful personality and great hair herself too! I went here before and it was wonderful. She did face framing and lower layers and I loved it. I just went back for my 3 month trim off the bottom to clean it up because I told her I'm still trying to grow it out and I left crying because I look like I have a mullet. She gave me bangs out of nowhere and the sides aren't even AT ALL. My right side is under my eye in length and my left side is still under my chin. I even have pieces farther back that are shorter than the front. She gave me layers that I also didn't ask for about 7 inches up!! So the bottom looks extremely thin. It's going to take me FOREVER to grow it back out the way I had it and loved.. I'm extremely upset. read more

If i could leave a zero star review i would. Went here last week for a haircut. My appointment was at 12:30, got there at 12:25ish and was told "she'll come get you when shes ready". 30 minutes passed and i was still waiting. I asked the receptionist how much longer i was going to wait and she said my stylist was taking longer than expected with her other client and it should be soon. She ends up moving my appointment to 1:30 so i leave and get food. Playing it safe, i called back to move my appointment to 2pm. I get back at 1:50 and my stylist still was not ready. I ended up getting seen at around 2:30 (2 hours past my original appointment). The cut came out okay, best she could do with my hair as im growing out a pixie. But she says shes going to wash my hair out to get the little pieces out thats probably in my hair after layering. Afterwards, she wipes my hair down once, touches something up in the back and says "youre all set!". Was i supposed to ask for her to blow dry my hair? Is it no longer implied that after getting your washed at a salon some sort of styling or at least mediocre hair drying was supposed to be done? If i had to pay extra for it okay but all she said was im set and done. I was already upset from waiting two hours i didnt even try and walked out with my hair DRIPPING WET btw.
