I had an appt. this morning (Monday) but had an emergency so I called Sunday and left a voicemail explaining the situation and that I would not be in but will call to reschedule. Monday I get a phone call maybe 10 minutes into my appointment time and I asked "Did you check your voicemail?" Then I was informed with an attitude that they do not work on Sundays. I am sorry that the universe allows emergencies to occur between Sundays and Mondays. Life happens! Then after I hang up they had the audacity to send me an invoice for $50 that WILL not be paid. Even prior to my 1st appointment I had to "pre-pay" which I have never done, not even at high end salons. I can understand if I was a "repeat offender" but just like attorneys, dentists and doctors there are salons everywhere. What a way to keep your client base!!! I do not even do this if a patient does not show up for an appointment at my office. Again, consider the situation?? They didn't ask about the situation it was all about the money. If a repeat offender of course I get it but things happen in life that take more important precedence than a haircut appointment. Made an appointment for my son (adult) who had just had a stroke to get a much needed haircut. Made an appointment with Sofie. The appointment was at 1pm Arrived early. Waited till 1:10 and inquired. We were told 5 more minutes. 10 min later asked again just 5 more minutes. Sofie never came out to introduce herself and to let us know how long it would be. We were told 5 min more numerous times by the receptionist. Finally at 1:35 we left. What a waste of time. She did not respect our time, so if you value yours , don't make an appointment with Sofie. Note* I see another stylist that works here and have rarely had to wait and when I have she came out to let me know. Lenya exceeded all my expectations. Her energy and presence are absolutely magnetic. She's professional, confident, and clearly passionate about what she does. Talking with her felt so natural, like catching up with a good friend. I came in wanting to return to my natural color after getting highlights at another salon, and she matched it perfectly. She worked efficiently too, so I never felt like I was waiting around. When it came to my haircut, I was open to her suggestions, and we decided on soft layers with curtain bangs. I've never had a haircut so bad that I cried. Yet, this place managed to do just that. I had pictures of the cut from all angles and the girl had similar hair texture to mine. And the cut I ended up was 100000% different that my girlfriends even asked me if I ended up changing my mind on what style I wanted. It's been over a year now and I still shudder over my experience. The stylist, Mallory, thinned out my hair so much that it looks fried and stringy. I got it done on New Year's Eve and asked for long layers only in the front and she layered all over which made my hair poofy on the top and extremely thin on the ends. I figured I give it a few months to grow and it's growing out horribly with all my ends looking split, stringy, and an overall uneven looking haircut. I am extremely disappointed because my hair was so long and luxurious now it's poofy and dried damaged. read more

I requested a bob and they told me Nicole was the "Bob specialist." I chopped more than a foot and THANK GOD I didn't let her cut me as short as she wanted because I'd have to fix that. Nicole told me she guarantees her hair cuts, but why would I want to go back there if she couldn't do it right the first time? My haircut is embarrassing and I should have known because she washed, cut over a foot and styled my hair in about 40 minutes. Horrible customer service. I made an appointment to have my 10 y/o son's hair cut with April. We arrived at 3:45 pm for a 4:00 pm appointment. At 4:10 pm, I was notified that the stylist was running behind and that it would be another 10 minutes (presumably 4:20 pm, now). I offered to re-schedule, but the receptionists stated that it wouldn't be long before my son was seen. At 4:30, I again stated that I could re-schedule and was once again told that the stylist was "almost done". At 4:45 pm the receptionists cancelled our appointment and stated that we needed to re-schedule. read more

I frequent Thairapy Salon because I was fortunate to meet Katie through a referral. Katie is amazing! She knows hair chemistry, how to manage tints, cuts, and suggests the best products for my hair based on my hair goals. Katie started at a disadvantage since I came to her with some over processed & crunchy hair but after frequent cuts and the right treatments, she has my hair looking youthful with shine and bounce again. I went through a few but when I saw Melisha's profile i just knew she would be the right fit for me! I messaged her and she got back to me very quickly. I was looking last minute for a salon that would give my boyfriend's daughter a hair cut. She's a preteen (11) and wanted to chop her hair and get bangs. A pretty drastic change. Her hair is extremely thick and I was unsure how it would look, so contacted the salon to ask about being provided guidance. Having had my hair done for the last 10 years, I am pretty high maintenance and made a lot requests of Maddie. Grilled her for questions on style and helping the 11-year-old make the best decision for her hair. Maddie took it all in stride and even helped educate her, asking her questions and engaging with her. I've never met a more understanding stylist and she was so happy with the work done! Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with the owner of this shop. The stylist and front desk were awesome; this review is solely about the owner. In January 2025, I got a $150 gift card for this salon. Today, 8/2/25, I decided to use it, but when I went to pay for my haircut they told me it's expired (which it isn't). The workers called the owner and she told them that I could not use the gift card, but that they would comp my $60 hair cut. I looked up the federal law that states gift cards have to be active for at least 5 years and told them that. Even after that, the owner wouldn't allow me to use it now or in the future. The owner did not care about losing me as a customer and said there's nothing she could do. I ended up paying for the haircut because I didn't want the stylist to work without getting paid, since the owner wasn't going to. It's wild to think that this owner cares so little about her clients. After this whole ordeal I'm out $60 bucks and still have a gift card that's unusable. So please beware when buying a gift card from this salon and beware that the owner doesn't care about their clients. read more

I am blessed with a hair that grows fast. However, it is not cheap to maintain hair! This pandemic had made me grow my mane all the way to waist-length. It would get caught up when I am laying down and my husband would sit on it, whenever I am putting on a cute blouse.. It would just be everywhere! I will be honest, I am cheap with my hair and I have never spent anything over $75. However, I am starting to look like a Sasquatch, so I really need to chop the mane off! So I finally decided to get it chopped. I went in for a consultation with Lexi and inquired about their hair coloring price range and it is expensive! Kudos to every woman who has some bomb hair! I was really excited for this salon but it ended up being a nightmare. I have shiny white hair and wanted a touch of barely there pink. I had many pictures for examples. But alas sofie started out putting deep grape purple, which in the begining I said I did not want. She tried to lighten it, it turned into a weird purple grey. Then she added a blonde color on top saying it would put the base color back. Whatever that meant. But after 4 hours i walked away with a deep copper color with a bit of light purple mixed in. Its been three days. I didnt want to just jump in with a negative review. I thought three days would calm me down. It did not. Every time i look in the mirror i want to cry. This is a mistake that will probably take years to remedy. When it all grows out. Sofie did say dye reacts differently on white hair, so she wanted to leave it on longer to make sure it takes. The cut was ok but she didn't blow off the tremendous amount of hair on my neck and clothes. She didn't show me the back of my head to see if i liked it. She basically shooed me out. Granted it had been four hours but that was not my fault and I was still a customer. I do not recommend this salon at all. read more

My hair is the one thing that I am proud of, as it is (was) long and thick. I went to sommer, and upon her suggestion got a "butterfly cut". Not only was it nowhere similar to the photo she selected as a reference to show me, the layers are also choppy, uneven, and blunt. I reached out to sommer and said I'd like it fixed, which she was friendly about and agreed to fix it, which is the only reason I'm not giving one star. However, all she did to fix it was use texturizing scissors on the layers to "blend" it. My hair looks almost the same, yet is now thinner than before thanks to the texturizing, and the layers are a little less visible, but still there. I cannot get them fixed unless I chop off another 2-3 inches to meet her randomly cut "layers" to even it out. I'd love a refund, but I know almost no hair salon gives refunds even if they do jobs like this. read more

I had my consultation with Mickey on August 24th we spent a lot of time discussing what I wanted and how it would be best to accomplish the color. I told her I did not care whatever route needed to be taken I just wanted to make sure that I get the color that I want. I wanted a deep colorful red I provided her with 2 photos of the color that I wanted. I was scheduled to come back on that Saturday the 26th to have my hair done but due to her being sick we needed to reschedule for the 29th which was the day before I left for a vacation. I appreciated the fact that she stayed late to do my hair however I am very unhappy with the results. After she started dying my hair she made a comment of maybe I should have used this darker color for the whole bit and I said are you sure that this is going to be the color that I want and she said yes it'll be great. it was not great it was not anywhere near the color that I wanted. She Kept talking about 2 girls that come in and just say do whatever you want with my hair and they give her a color range and maybe they would like the color that she's doing on my hair, well I certainly hope that they do because I definitely do not. She had me stay even later into the night and pose in front of some light so that she could get great photos for her insta well it doesn't matter how it looks with whatever filters she's adding it is not the color that I requested it is not the color that I paid for. When she asked me if I liked it I told her NO I do not like it Hopefully I will learn to like it but unfortunately for me that did not happen. In addition to not liking the color that she gave me any time I washed my hair which was barely and always with cold water the color got even worse after just 4 cold washes my hair is orange and blonde and I am embarrassed to go out in public and I cannot believe that I was taken for over $400 for this! Yes I should not have used a new Hair Salon before going on a once in a lifetime trip to Europe but I thought worst case scenario I would have a couple of days to fix it. But when she told me she was sick and we had to reschedule that left me with no options to schedule with another salon in that short amount of time. I literally hate every single photo that I am in on my trip to Europe. I think that this salon is perfectly named because I feel like I need therapy after what has been done to my hair. Obviously I will never go back and I recommend that people do not come here if they have a specific color that they are wanting, which I don't understand why it's such a problem?? I've asked for vivid bright colors and I've never had a problem before now. This will teach me to try some place new and trust their reviews. read more

My husband & I recently moved & decided to give this salon a try since it had pretty good reviews. My husband got one of the worst haircuts I've seen! He's not one to complain or point things out- but had to ask the woman to cut more of his back to make a straight line. I had a trim & highlight roots retouched. The woman who did my hair was friendly & nice, but I left with worse roots than when I walked in. She didn't even style my curls- she left my under a dryer - which left my hair super frizzy. I asked just for a touch up - keep my color the exact way it is- but nope, went lighter. I hate the color & will not be returning. I added pics to show my roots the SAME DAY I had my hair done. So she proceeded to try to pull the color put of my hair so I can start the process. First appointment went well so I thought. Booked a fallow up appointment for a month later on a Friday. After Having a terrible experience at a salon nearby the day before, I decided to look into this salon and just call and ask who would be available to help me with my terrible nightmare of a hair that had been completely destroyed by the previous salon. Cristina was recommended by the front desk and she was available thankfully because of a cancellation. I was so thrilled to just have someone else look at my hair and tell me that there was something that they could do to fix it. Cristina took the time to explain my different options, she took the time to go over everything she even apologize for the horrible experience I had from the previous salon. She is truly an amazing person and a wonderful talented stylist. After only a couple of hours maybe even less, she was able to transform my nightmare into this gorgeous root shadow with highlights that looks amazing. I will be going back in about eight weeks to do some touchups but I am thankful that I have found my new stylist.
