I wish I could leave a zero star review. I have never been to a salon before so when I walked in I didn't know what to expect. I walked in, sat down and waited. No one greeted or spoke to me for 30 minutes, so I assumed I had to initiate the conversation. I walked up to a stylist who wasn't working at the moment and let her know that I was a walk-in and was new to salons and didn't know if I needed an appointment. She looked at her computer and said "nothing is available right now". I said "no problem. I'll just wait then". I sat back down and she watched me walk back to my chair to wait. Another 30 minutes go by. I watched other clients come in, get their hair done, and leave. This time I could see that the other stylist finally realized that I was waiting for a haircut. I wish I was wearing a sign that said "I need haircut". Growing impatient I walked up to the same stylist who wasn't working, again, and asked, "when you you said you have nothing available right now, did you mean you're booked for the rest of the day?". She looked at me with a smile, let out a little chuckle and said, "Yea". It was at this point she offered to take my information for an appointment for another day. Why did she watch me wait for a whole hour before telling me anything? There was no intention to help me. I put my anger aside and left. Not only did she watch me wait but the vibe I got from everyone else was, "why are you here". I think there is a lack of communication and customer service. The person who helped me was very unprofessional and couldn't let me know, I wasn't going to get a haircut today. I wish I could get back the TIME WASTED sitting there. ZERO STARS!!!! read more

This will be the last time I look for anyone in Surprise to cut my hair. It's been recommended that if you see a good cut and style, ask who the stylist is. My hair was slightly below the shoulders and needed to be 'freshened up' so I provided a recent photo of my hairstyle, asked for no more than an inch and a half undercut 'bob'. End result? A terrible, chin length lob sided disaster! I returned to a hostile stylist this morning to have the undercut corrected... she was rude, snarky and she didn't apologize for the mess she created. I could have walked into any Fantastic Sam's and got a better cut for a fraction of what she charged me. I'm seriously considering extensions at this point and I will look for a qualified stylist in Peoria. Chace Salon in Surprise has positive reviews, the atmosphere is upbeat and clean however, I do not recommend Christina (no last name of course) first station to the right of the entrance. read more

I went in to see Collette back in December but she is only here for the winter, so I had to get a new stylist. Makenna was super sweet and took care of my hair, there was a mistake in the color, but she was willing to make it right at no extra cost. I will continue going to this salon. The salon is so clean and the people there are so kind. Just be aware that each stylist is independent of their own charges/costs. I did learn that. read more

After frequenting salons like Dolce and Rolf's for many years, I decided to try Chace Salon since one of my close friends recommended her stylist and friend, Sara Pendgraft, for doing hair. I've been coloring my hair since around 18 years old since I had "premature grays" or a little salt with the pepper or whatever you want to call it! "All over color with partial highlights" has been the phrase to describe my countless hours at salons every 6-8 weeks for the past decade and a half. Sara did a great job! I love the color of my hair because although there is color with highlights, it still looks close to natural and I can tell that when I'm ready to go more dramatic with my color and cut, that Sara will be my "go-to" girl for the job! She's also very friendly and you feel right at home with her right away. I'm glad that I can pay $120-$160 for color-highlights-cut instead of the $250 I was responsible for at the other mainstream corporate salons since my stylists were "master" or level 5 stylists. I'm pretty easy to please so as long as the stylist is talented and edgy and confident, I'm all in for trying new hairstyles and cuts! I just hope it's at a more reasonable price and I was very pleased with my results with Sara at Chace Salon! read more

I met with Heather and I must say she is absolutely amazing. I came in with very dark hair which was flat and lacking style. She did an all over color with highlights. I am loving my hair today. Heather is very thorough in explaining step by step each process as she's doing it. She also takes the time to give you a tutorial on how to achieve a similar style at home. Adria does my hair every few months. She saved it when I first started going my gaur was so damaged by another salon. I love her work so much she now does my best friends hair. I love the way she does business and how helpful she was from when I called to when I walked in. I haven't cut my hair in a year. It's long and had some unhealthy ends. During the call, I even asked if they could email me a confirmation but the person on the phone said "Don't worry we'll give you a call the day before to remind you." I never got a call and the day of the appointment I reached out to confirm. The person I talked to said there was no record of my appointment. My name nor number was not put down either. I am incredibly disappointed by the way my experience has turned out. I think it is definitely a reflection on how disorganized and unprofessional this salon is. To say that I have challenging hair is an understatement. My hair is super fine, curly and frizzy; and I have a TON of it. I got a Brazilian Blowout and cut from Cory and he did an amazing job taming my crazy, stubborn locks. This was the second blowout I got from Cory and he proves to be very detailed and truly committed to doing excellent work. My first blowout lasted over 4 months. It has been a week since he did this most recent one, but my hair still feels and looks like it did on day one. He also cut my hair in subtle layers which took a ton of weight off and looks great. I do not get what the big deal is with this salon! If you are looking for good customer service...you are not going to find it here! I was seeing Christina for a haircut and partial highlights and for the most part she did an okay job but I couldn't afford her. She charged as if she was in some upscale salon. For those two services she charged me $170. How do you sleep at night?! Way too expensive for what you get. My reaction to that was "ummm are we in Scottsdale?!" Sadly I returned several times after and the charges were different each time (more expensive)...I guess customer loyalty means nothing there. I'd rather go to Bella Voi and spend my money there than to ever go back to Chace Salon! Complete rip off. read more
