Last Fall I came here to get my hair done and so far I think it is the Best hair place that I like! I walked in without an appointment and everyone was very friendly. I got my hair dyed and cut for about $100. I even got a glass of wine with it! Since then, I have returned once and done the same thing. The staff is very welcoming, I even witnessed them cutting a little girl's hair and being professional towards her and being kid friendly. I feel relaxed when I'm there. I think you would enjoy the free glass of wine too ;) If you are a guy, you might enjoy the sexy hairstylist. read more

I called in and asked for a tone- my hair is blonde I was just hoping to take the brassiness out of it so it could go back to being more platinum. She took me in as soon as I walked in and applied the formula to my hair without asking any further questions- but I figured she couldn't mess up a tone right? Wrong :( My hair turned out a grayish brown color, she says it should wash out within a couple washes but I'm very disappointed in my color it's not what I wanted at all. I know you can't judge all the stylists here by this one but I won't be returning to this salon read more

Bre is awesome!!!! She is super reasonable in price and main priority is customer! The entire time she did my hair she focused on detail, explained every step in the process and she asked about my comfort...oh and they offer wine! (I had tea). Highly recommend Bre. Tell her you heard about her through me! read more

Today I walked in without an appointment (because you don't need one :D), and was completely wowed by the outcome of my hair. Got a cut, and a color, which both turned out AMAZING. Very impressed by the color, and the stylist who did it. Her name was Erica. I told her what I wanted, and she did it effortlessly. She was very knowledgeable and informative on color, and does tell you what will and won't work with your hair. I had an old pattern in my hair, and wanted it touched up (after almost a year). Besides the amazing outcome, the staff is very laid back, and easy to talk to. Although I had a soda, you have a choice between soda or wine. Another plus :) I highly recommend this salon :) read more

For all your hair needs come here to Karma Salon and see Niya! I have been here twice now and brought my daughter in once. Consistency is key and I can say I have had the best service each time! The salon is very nice and upscale looking. Niya is amazing at what she can do for all different hair types! I'm black and my daughter is mixed and she did wonders for us! I see her other clients of all different ethnicities and ranging in age from 4yo to 60s and they all come out looking amazing! Cuts, color, perms, extensions, relaxers, etc. the prices are great! And she even does before and after pics that she sends u if you want! My hair was damaged and i have tried so many different places and either over-payed or had bad experiences everywhere. Niya has gotten my hair better than it ever was before! It is so healthy, long, and soooo cute! I cant believe how great I look walking out sometimes! ;-) She better stay here forever because I will ONLY go to her now! Thank you Niya and Karma Salon! read more

We were so lucky to get last minute appointments for Saturday morning, my mom and I were even able to get in at the same time. She saw Sam, who she raved about and did a wonderful job on her hair. I saw Emily who was also great. The highlight was the scalp massage during the shampoo, I seriously almost fell asleep in the chair! Aside from that even during the cut and style she has a great touch, no pulling, no tugging. It was a very relaxing experience and I ended up with exactly what I requested. She is a big quiet, but I didn't mind that at all just let me relax. Overall the salon is very clean and friendly, the stylists are all talking to their clients not each other which I loved. I hate feeling like I'm in the middle of someone else's conversation. I'll absolutely go back, it's great to find a wonderful salon like this in the west valley. read more

Best place ever!6 years of going to sam ( girl) she is amazing. Awesome. Want to look great? Go here and you will not be disappointed! !

Vanessa is a great stylist! I had someone else the time before and she was also great, I just can't remember who it was. I have finally found "my" place. Both times I was in and out in about 1 hour for a wash, cut, and style. The prices are reasonable and the staff is all so friendly. I would recommend this place to everyone. read more

Let's just say the fact that this salon is closing says enough. When I called to make the appointment it was "hello".... Umm yeah hi can I make and appointment...?Not really sure if I have the right number. "Yea what time?" ASAP what do u have available? "9am tomorrow" Yea that works "Ok see you tomorrow" At this point I was confused if the conversation was over or if she even was goin to ask what I was getting done so I told her "I have the vibrant blues and reds in my hair and I need it redone and the old color is probably goin to have to be lifted so the new colors turns out. Are you goin to be able to do those colors and approximately how long do You think it will take?" " yup should be about 1.5-2hr, see u tomorrow, bye" 9am show up and the girl says I have you down for a cut and color, what do you want done? Wasn't planning on getting a cut but I could probably use a trim. Any way I came to get the vibrant colors re done. This girl tells me we usually need to know what colors u want ahead of time because we don't keep those colors in stock and I'm goin to have to go pick up the colors. Can u come back in a hour? I guess...what choice do I have. Come back at 10 she's doing my hair suggests let's do the colors horizontal. Usually I have them goin vertical like highlights. Ok let's try it. 1 o'clock rolls around and she's just finishing blow drying asked if I want my hair curled or straight. I don't have time I need to go. Look at my hair I'm already not a fan of this horizontal ombré look. Get in the car throw my hair in a ponytail and there's red all around the collar of my shirt. Now listen I've been to salons and I've done this hair color process in my kitchen successfully never had a problem with getting the color on my clothes...like I know it's a risk but thank god and by the grace of Jesus and my other stylists of course they were mindful of the dye. But not ONLY did she get the color on my shirt but she didn't tell me she got color on my shirt. At the end of the day it's just a shirt but the lack of professionalism by not saying hey sorry I got color on ur shirt and just sending me on my way....and that's why y'all goin out of business. read more

Was able to book appointment over the phone after a friend referred me to Monica. Salon was clean and comfortable. Monica listened to my style request and restated my request to make sure we were both on the same page. Throughout the process, she gave me choices and included me. Very kind and patient! Wonderful work!! I am very pleased with her cut and highlights. Will return. Thank you, Monica. read more

Just got my hair cut, colored and styled by Brandi. She was awesome! I found this salon by Google then read the yelp reviews and called during my busy lunch hour. Brandi understood I was super busy but took the time via text to ask everything I wanted down to the color that she did not have on hand. She ran the same day and got me the color I wanted by the brand I wanted without question. Her customer service throughout the experience was wonderful. She listened to what I wanted and made sure I was a happy customer when I left. I will be back and I will bring my daughter to fix what ulta couldn't do. I will definitely let everyone know about the salon, especially Brandi! Thank you Brandi see ya soon read more

I do love this salon and the girls really are great but I have to knock off a couple stars from my last visit. I came in for a scheduled color/cut a half hour early shortly after they opened. They took me right away which was awesome; I knew I'd take awhile because I had basically virgin hair. I didn't realize that it would take just under 5 hours. In between my color and cut, my stylist took another client so I sat for a little over an hour. I understand having to manage multiple clients in a salon, but I wasn't really made aware just how long I'd have to wait. I'm still new to hair coloring and may just be ignorant, but I thought 5 hours was a bit much. The one thing that left a bad taste with me was another stylist continued to complain of her back pain and being hungry and tired. I experience all these things at my place of work but do not continually mention it around customers or coworkers. after sitting in a chair for 5 hours, my back hurt, I was tired and definitely hungry. I'm not sure if this a low staff issue (3 stylists total on a Saturday) or time management, but I hope my next experience is more pleasant. Overall, I was satisfied with my hair, no complaints I love it. read more

The first time I went, I did not have a good experience. The receptionist, who didn't get up or look up from her phone, was unprofessional to say the least. The girl I got to cut my hair, though super sweet, did NOT know how to cut my hair. When I initially made the appt I specifically asked who was good with thick, wavy hair and was told she was. No such luck. I had to coach her through a lot of it, and repeatedly had to ask her "what abt this/that" etc. When she stood me up I ran my fingers through it and one side was dramatically longer and no I didn't ask for an asymmetrical bob. She tried to fix it while she had me stand there, no such luck again. Also, another stylist was gossiping loudly abt certain people in the community. Not exactly what I want to hear for an hour of my life, I don't care how much better you think you are than everyone else, and very unprofessional. I left with my hair lopsided(!) and dissatisfied. Fortunately a friend of mine goes here and raves about it so I decided to go back. I got Casey. Not only is she sweet and chill she is also super talented and made my thick, crazy wavy/ bushy hair do exactly what I wanted. I love my hair and would recommend Casey to anyone! I've been back a few times and am always extremely satisfied. read more

I got a haircut done by Erica back in april 2014 Unfortunately I am really regretting it..I am left with thinned out hair that will take a long time to get back to how it was before that haircut. When I asked for layers at no time did I realize that meant taking thinning scissors to it. She could've asked me first or informed me she was going to sabotage my hair. It's depressing really because I had beautiful thick hair before and that had taken me a long time but she ruined it in a matter of minutes. Don't trust your hair with other people!!! Just bc they look like they know what theyre doing....Lesson learned. read more

Thanks Brianna!! I love my hair, you did an outstanding job on my highlights and cut. The salon has a great atmosphere and very friendly staff. I recommend anyone who needs any color or cut to come see her at Karma Salon. She is funny, friendly and professional. read more

Horrible experience getting a hair color here. Brassy...brassy brassy and extremely expensive for a bad job. Agree with another yelper with the 4 hr chair time...so be prepared. Let the lack of business be the first clue to what the results will be. Just had a color correction done today by another salon to correct my results from KARMA. Will not be returning. read more

Had a great hair experience with Erica! Recently moved here and she is amazing at color and cut. She took her time to make sure I was happy with my color and cut, Received so many compliments, the salon is darling and staff was super friendly, I highly recommend this place no doubt! read more

Great place, and friendly/helpful staff. I was a bit skeptical since I had to find a new salon after the one I went to closed down. Vanessa M. is right, I got a haircut and highlights for only 95.00 which is craazzzy cheap. I will probably be returning to this salon. read more

I've been to a few different hair salons in my area to see if I could find someone or a place I liked, and this place is definitely my favorite. She (I believe it was Monica) did a really great job with my haircut, it was really well done and I received lots of compliments on it afterwards. Love this place! (Plus, not super expensive!) read more

If you're not willing or unable to spend high end money ($60 - 70) for solely a cut but demand a high end result.. THIS is your safe haven. I had my hair cut AND colored for less than $100. That's unheard of, well at least from the salons that I have confidence in. The color is fantastic and the cut is the exact cut that I had had at Vidal, well close.. I had them tweek it a bit. All in all worth the drive my friends, worth the drive! read more

I had a kudzu deal for this salon where I was looking to get my long, curly hair cut. Sam (who came highly recommended for curly hair) did a wonderful job cutting off 7 inches and doing a face framing, curly lovely cut. read more

I was there about a year a go and now just got a chance to review. I found my experience to be average. I came here to try it out because I've heard such great reviews from kudzu and from Yahoo. I went to see the very hyped up "Roger" Although Roger was super sweet, my hair cut and partial higlight was average. The price was a bit steep too. For the hair cut and partial (6 foils) highlight, it was $110. I left the salon $130 later(including tips) a little bit broke. read more

Worst place EVER! Made an appointment for my daughter to get her hair done for a military ball. When I scheduled the appointment I let her know that we had another appointment at 3, so I wanted to schedule early to make sure we were on time. Long story short, arrived at appointment time only to wait 15 minutes. We were there for 1.5 hours only for her to wash and dry my daughters hair. No curls, no nothing!!!! Super pissed to see my daughter so upset. I will definitely be contacting the owner. read more

Karma is a gorgeous salon with a fantastic staff! The Alterna products sold there are the best. If you are looking for a great stylist I highly recommend Roger. He has totally transformed my look. Whether I want a short stacked bob or long extensions Roger works my weave. Roger not only does phenomenal extensions he also does one of the best straightening systems I've seen. Go see Roger, you won't be disappointed. read more

I grudgingly had to look for a new hair stylist after moving away from my stylist of ten years. I have very dark hair that I keep in various shades of blonde, so I'm very picky about who does my hair. I turned to Yelp and found Karma Salon. I have seen Julie there twice. I take a picture in of what I want done, and she gets it done. The Salon is very clean and comfortable. I also have had waxing done there. I usually break out, the product Julie used did not cause any reaction. I am very pleased and will be coming back. read more

Kasey did a great job on my haircut and recommended some great at-home treatments for my horrible dry scalp. She was super friendly and even took the time to teach me how to curl my hair with a flat iron. I feel like I got a huge bang for my buck! Definitely recommend Kasey for thick curly hair! The only thing I can "complain" about is that, when I walked in, there were two little girls sitting at the front desk rather than a receptionist. I was greeted by one of the stylists, but it was still a little awkward at first. I also noticed the receptionist's chair at the front desk was totally chewed up and needed a replacement BADLY, but of course that had no effect on my experience. I love my new haircut and I will be back! read more

Finally found someone I trust with my hair! Julie cut, colored, and styled my hair better than I've ever had!!!! She was fully willing to accommodate me after hours due to MY initial scheduling issue & I got to drink a glass of wine during my appointment- it really is all those little things that count! I will be back in 2-3 months for sure! read more

Sam Rivas is the bomb.com and I couldn't say enough about how phenomenal of a beautician she is. I LOVE HER!!!

Karma's number one priority is the customers. As soon as you walk in they offer you a beverage or if you need anything.! Throughout the visit, the stylists and owners, Joe and Stacie, make sure you are comfortable and feel at home! Especially on this side of town, it is rare to find a salon that does straightening systems and extensions! So that is a plus! You get what you want when you come in and nothing less! Whether it's a facial, which the esthetician does as well as body massages/treatments, waxes, dermaplanes, and more, or color or a cut every little bit of effort is put into your satisfaction! Go to KARMA!!! read more
