Hair is important). I had corrections that needed help and a pro. Valerie listens to you and works out a plan- I'm a Capricorn and need a game plan. Just THREE visits and my hair went on a journey back to 'normal' but soooo much better. You can definitely give her the trust in your hair. I have never had a negative experience at this Salon. Everyone is very kind. The employees genuinely care about helping you look your best and ensuring they understand what you want. There's always great music playing and has a relaxing vibe. My daughter recently went in and had her hair done by Valerie. Especially with inflation Erica is a true artist when it comes to hair, she takes her time makes you feel comfortable and content with your decision she will always tell you what your end result will be! Never any false hopes or disappointment!! When Erica isn't available every other staff I've had do my hair has been amazing from Trinity, Marian, Lupe, and Itzel you just can't go wrong here and you'll always feel welcomed! The whole experience with this salon was great. When I called to make the appointment, the girl who took my call was so kind and friendly. It stood out to me because customer service is lacking these days but not here. Got an appointment a few days later. My stylist was Itzel. She was pretty, nice and professional. Easy to talk to. She listened to what I wanted and also cut my hair exactly how I wanted. I have long hair and was very nervous to go because I've had horrible experiences at other salons in the past but not here. Itzel made a big mistake on my hair!! She said my hair was too fried to do blonde balayage and "recommended" that I do blonde highlights AND dark brown lowlights. She said this was preserve quality of my hair and i thought it would look good with the idea I had in mind because she said SHE COULDNT FIND A PICTURE to show me and I trusted her because she had done my hair nice before. This time was horrible. Maybe she was working too fast, i honestly don't know what she was thinking! Why would I want to pay $300 to get a brown hair dye job?! It costed me almost $1000 dollars and a WHOLE YEAR to get as blonde as I was before she RUINED MY HAIR COLOR! It was supposed to be a dimensional blonde with brown low lights per her recommendation but it wasn't it was over toned and the brown hair dye is very ugly there is no richness in the color nothing! Well at least I got my refund of $310!! And the owner asked me to not come back if she gave me a refund, as if I was ever going to want to go back anyway! On top of all of this Itzel and the owner NEVER APOLOGIZED OR SAID THEY WERE SORRY! This shows me that they don't care about me. I think the money was the motive for Itzel ...fast job fast money ...it doesn't work! you should have better customer service, give the client what they want and learn to humble yourself because you made a huge mistake! She tried to say my hair was badly damaged and had spots that's a lie. Pictures prove it. My hair was damaged as normal blondes have some damage but not that bad or else I would have never went to the salon. I get my hair done every 3 months as stylists suggest and also condition it. If it was that bad why did she bleach it and color it? She should have recommended I go home instead. Sandra was so great, I had her do my hair for a special event and I was so worried that it would fall flat (as my hair tends to do) after a few hours. I was using another salon in Goodyear but after the third stylist up and left, I decided to find somewhere else. I was also hoping to find somewhere with more reasonable pricing. Scheduling was easy and pleasant; good availability. I was assigned Sandra, who was meticulous and careful. She was very on top of telling me exactly what she was doing and listened to what I wanted exactly. She was upfront about pricing as well, which I appreciate. I had a cut and color. We had some trouble getting some places to darken where I wanted and so I was in the hair washing area for a very long time to try and correct it. But that was due to my previous dye job and Sandra found a way to make it work beautifully. I don't think I've ever been so pleased with a color. The atmosphere of the salon was tidy and friendly. It does get a tad loud at times but you expect that. Good music in the background. My bill came out to much less than I usually pay and I was immensely happy with the work done, too. Overall, a win. I had my hair cut by their stylist, Erica Hernandez a few days ago, and was left with a choppy cut. She was very nice and easy to talk to, and fit us in at the end of the day.. But overall was not pleased. I came in to have my dead ends cut off a few inches.. And we ended up scooping the back so my hair would not be straight across, (and so when I put my hair in front of my shoulders it would be more even).. I ended up having it fixed today by a different stylist at a different salon, and have attached a before and after picture of my haircut. read more

Came in for a fix and they did great! I was seen as a walk in and I felt as though they didn't try and upsell me at all. I had box dyed my hair and it ended up green. They took the color out and did a toner and assured me my hair wouldn't fry, and they were right! I felt so reassured by everyone in there. I see Angel at Salon VIP. He is attentive, detailed, takes his time and is very honed in to his craft. He has taken multiple education classes by some of the best in his field. He specializes in balayage and foiling techniques. He always leaves my hair the perfect beige/neutral tones that I love. Found a gem! As a newcomer to Arizona, one of the biggest challenges is to find a great stylist ~ I have a ton of thick, coarse hair which can be tricky to style. After reading the Salon VIP reviews, I thought it worth a chance ~ when I called to book the appt., I advised them of my hair and asked for someone that could handle this. He quickly booked me with Michelle. Michelle was fantastic ~ before I sat down, I told her what I wanted and she not only listened but heard me and the end result was my favorite haircut in years!
