So yum!!!! Top 3 thai spots for me…read more Food- Classic order of Pad Thai & Drunken Noodles. The pad thai noodles are a big thinner than i've had before but that didn't bother me, it has such great flavor too. I recommend ordering it spicy, it's the perfect heat if you're looking for that kick but don't add it if you can't handle spice. The drunken noodles are not spicy in my opinion but i can handle a bit of heat. Loved the flavor and the noodles had the right texture, could've done without the huge chunks of tomato but great otherwise. The summer rolls were good, hard to mess those up. We also got a free mango salad with the order and that was so fresh and delicious. We just popped in for pick up but the hostess was really nice and attentive as soon as we walked in. It looked to be a nice casual spot, could be good for dinner with friends or date night.

It does well with doing the whole "fusion" schtick without losing the essence and flavor of the dishes. Pad Krapoa Moo Krob, the meat on the pork belly was so juicy - the pork skin was crunchy and chewy at the same time, flavors of Thai spice, basil, and bell peppers harmoniously working together to bring a balanced meal. The shrimp basil fried rice was delicious, a great alternative if you're not feeling the crab fried rice. The service at Obao is always prompt and helpful, whether it's questions about the menu or recommendations, anyone is willing to help. Inside Oboa is dimly lit, a moody vibe that is fun and invites playful conversations.

Location: 690 9th Ave, New York, NY 10036…read more Customer service: just regular nothing grand. Ambiance: few seating options. A little spacious and aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. Food: Heres what I've tried. Fried chicken wings with lemongrass sauce--- Topped with cilantro, Thai ginger chips, and fresh mint leaves--so flavorful it goes straight to the bones. Perfectly sized, not too big or too small. OMG, it was really, really good. The aroma alone is already mouthwatering, and the umami is just next level. Grilled jumbo tiger shrimp (18 for 2 pcs)-- A bit firm for my liking--I felt they were slightly overcooked--but still very savory and rich in flavor. Mango Salad--- A refreshing twist on the usual mango salad. It has avocado, which makes it stand out, and it's less saucy than most versions. A great, clean, and balanced salad I'd definitely order again.

A lot of…read moreour party was running late, and the host seemed really apprehensive about seating us because of their strict hour-and-a-half dining limit. We explained that we didn't mind. If our friends took too long we'd just start eating, but for now we were happy to sit, have drinks, and wait. Even after that, she still seemed hesitant to seat us, which was a little annoying, although I understand that policies are policies. Once we finally sat down, things got more frustrating because staff came over three or four times reminding us that we only had an hour and 30 minutes to dine. At first it felt like genuine concern since some of our friends were still arriving and they wanted to make sure everyone had enough time to eat. But after a while it started feeling less like concern and more like pressure to hurry up and leave, especially considering the restaurant wasn't particularly busy. From what I could tell there wasn't a crowd outside waiting to get in either. The mood definitely shifted once they realized we were a large party ordering plenty of food and drinks. Our bill ended up being just under $1,000, and it honestly felt like once they saw we weren't going to camp out over a couple of cocktails and were actually spending money, the energy changed completely. That part was a little irritating. That said, our server was genuinely very polite. Even while giving us the occasional "just so you know, you have this much time left" reminder, he remained friendly throughout the night. At the end he told us that if everyone left a Google review we'd each get a free drink, which was kind of funny because suddenly nobody seemed too concerned about the time limit anymore, especially since it took a while for those drinks to come out. Still, this place is gorgeous, very swanky, and the food is packed with flavor. Despite the awkward start and the constant reminders about the clock, we ended up having a really good time. It's definitely a unique and welcome addition to Hell's Kitchen.

Best way to describe this is luxe Asian or bougie Chinese. If you are fan of top Chef it would be called soigné. We had three of the hot apps, Foie gras, lobster shumai with caviar and morel mushroom with spinach crystal dumplings. After that we're deciding between the quail and beef tenderloin wok dishes. Since the quail was spicy went with tenderloin which came with small serving of rice. All the food was great. I felt the crystal dumpling needed a kicked and they brought Out there house soy and hot vinegar sauce. For drinks I tried there mix of a classic martini with an old fashioned and after discussions with there somm who nicely recommended a more affordable bottle that would meet our needs got the Chardonnay by glass as a bottle. Enjoyed the meal though likely spent 5 times what usually spend on Chinese place mainly due to cost of alcohol. Place is well designed with a look similar to Butter downtown with the arched ceiling mixed with with the sound dampening feature of similar design of bar Boulod. Will return to try the quail and the lobster spring rolls and if they keep to this standard will increase rating to 5.

The energy in the restaurant was a lot more vibrant than I expected, and honestly, the excitement from everyone around us added to the overall experience. To drink, I ordered the Caribbean Mule. It was refreshing, flavorful, and definitely packed a little punch. A solid cocktail that got the night started right. For food, we ordered the beef fried rice and chicken wontons. The beef fried rice was delicious and came in a generous portion size, making it easy to share. The chicken wontons were also well prepared and packed with flavor. The standout dish for me, though, was the ginger beef noodles. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the beef was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Easily my favorite item of the night and something I'd order again without hesitation. Service was another bright spot. The staff was attentive throughout the evening, and our servers were always quick to help whenever we needed anything. Even with the restaurant being busy, they stayed on top of everything. The one disappointment was the truffle fries. I've had better truffle fries at small neighborhood spots. They lacked both the flavor and presentation I'd expect from a restaurant at this price point, especially compared to how strong the rest of the meal was. Overall: Brooklyn Chop House delivered a fun atmosphere, great service, and some standout dishes. Between the energy of the crowd, the ginger beef noodles, and the attentive staff, it was a memorable experience. Just skip the truffle fries and put that money toward another appetizer or cocktail.

I took my cousin out for her birthday back in April and I we were not disappointed. I hadn't even finished my meal and I already said I was coming back. We had the salt and pepper shrimp, black prawns, shrimp fried rice, and bok choy to share. the portions of rice are hefty enough to share, but if you a big dawg help yourself to the full serving. We had the Vanilla Creme Brulee for dessert which we shared and it was just the right amount of sweetness and creaminess. Nothing was overpowered. Like I said, i will be back at some point. The food was fresh and good quality. They get two thumbs up from me!! If you love Asian cuisine, you will not be disappointed! Next time your friends ask if you want to go eat somewhere, Sei Less!

I loved the decor, lighting, furniture, and music. It's very spacious, and I really liked that they have separate areas for dining, large groups, and if you want do hookah. Our server was great and tried to accommodate as best as he could. We were very disappointed with the food. I was bummed they were out of the oxtail eggrolls. The items we ordered lacked flavor and just didn't hit. We ordered the chicken satay, the peanut sauce was a bit too thick and in our opinion didn't compliment the chicken and the chicken tasted pretty greasy. I ordered the shrimp dumplings and really enjoyed those. I also ordered the sea bass. It was a bit bland and the rice that was served on the side was hard. My cousin enjoyed the spice kung pao chicken. For drinks, we ordered the sidecar and lychee martini. I thought my drink was pretty good. If I'm ever in the area again, I think I would try it again just to see if I didn't choose the right options.
