Great device. All of the ladies were very friendly. The restaurant is clean and the food was excellent. We had pad kee mao, snow pea stir fry and spring rolls. The flavors were very good, Thai typical. It's super close to our hotel we will definitely be back! Ps: we agree with other reviews that it's not super spicy, so if you like it hot, bump the order a few notches! read more

We went to this place because it was near our hotel. It was great. I had the Ginger with Vegetables and fried rice, SO had the Garlic with pork. There was plenty of fresh ginger in the dish and lots of fresh veg. Onion, snow peas, carrot, broccoli, in a tasty brown sauce. SO said the Garlic dish was a little salty but he enjoyed it. Prices were fair and portions were good. The service was very good, we were checked on a couple of times, the food came quickly. Worth a visit if you're in the area and want something fresh. read more

Fast service and friendly staff. First time there and I ordered the Sriracha Pad Thai with seafood and wonton soup. Both were delicious. Their portions are also very generous and a great value. read more

I hate to have to write this poor review, love so many of the dishes... However please beware of snow pea dish, this meal made both my wife and I sick for 2 days, we just can't go back, we are elderly and can't chance it. read more

Everything was amazing. The waitresses were very attentive! The food is priced so well. Such big portions for the price. Recommend the sriracha pad Thai. Mango sticky rice 10/10! Ambiance was great it was very welcoming and comforting. I don't write many reviews but this one had to be reviewed read more

Meh...the pad Thai was good and tasted pretty authentic but the red curry had a layer of grease on top that you couldn't even stir in plus there were zero vegetables in it except for a few bamboo shoots. The staff was very nice and the order was ready quick. Probably wouldn't go there again for Thai- other people there had some other dishes that looked pretty good though and it was pretty busy on a weekend. read more

We decided on Thai Food for dinner and were seriously disappointed. We ordered ice tea and suspect they do not use any type of water filter and just make tea using the tap water, which Amarillo is known for to have terrible tasting water (high minerals, chlorine (which is a poison) to make it safe and all that bad taste was still there in the wonton soup and any other dish that relies on the water as a base. The servers were very nice and attentive, but that doesn't make up for the overall experience, since to food is supposed to be the star of the show! This can probably be turned around by the owners installing serious water filters and then using that water for food and drink preparation. I wish them luck! read more

I had a pretty disappointing experience at Thai Town in Amarillo. While the food is actually good, the customer service and card fee policy left a lot to be desired. They charge a 4% fee for using a card, which I think is excessive--especially since they don't clearly post this anywhere. When I told the cashier I didn't want to pay the fee, she had a noticeably bad attitude. She didn't smile, avoided eye contact, and just generally made me feel unwelcome. She called over someone else to help her, and even then, the attitude didn't improve. Eventually, they reduced the card fee slightly, but the way it was handled was awkward and passive-aggressive. When it came time to pay, she held out the card reader without saying a word, just staring off into space and waiting for me to figure out she wanted me to use Apple Pay. After an awkward silence, she finally mumbled "you ready?" instead of just clearly communicating. The food might be worth coming back for, but I'd honestly think twice because of how I was treated. If you do go, bring cash--unless you want to pay extra and deal with unfriendly service. read more

The burgers were great. Service was very speedy & personable. Ambiance is down home comfort.

I really feel bad having to even write this review but quite honestly this was one of the worst meals I've had in ages. As far as Thai food is concerned, the three items I ordered was absolutely flavorless, bland and the beef tasted old, chewy, not fresh and overcooked. Complete waste of money, the people who work here are not welcoming, warm or friendly. I cannot recommend Thai Town at all. What a travesty. I love divey hole but be wall mom and pop joints but it seems the kitchen staff has no clue how to cook proper Thai food. That's a shame. BLAND is an understatement. read more

Flavor 2.5/10 Service 3/10 Price 7/10 Portion size 9/10 Worth it if you're just looking for a big, cheap meal, but if you're going for quality you'd be better off looking elsewhere. read more

Bring back the old owners this place went down hill. With the young servers who are unprofessional and the prices are crazy now... I remember when the area use to be so inviting and family oriented now it's unwelcoming and two dollars for extra hot sauce in the most smallest container. read more

*Drive thru only *Cash only. Driving through on a road trip and was craving some noodles. This place was minutes off the highway. Ordered a Pad Kee Mao (spicy version of Drunken Noodle/Pad Se Ew) Added chicken and extra vegetable. And a Thai iced tea. Was told it would be ready in 15 min and appreciated the heads up that it was cash only. Food was ready when I arrived. Lady at window was sweet. Food was hot and loaded with veggies. Definitely a large enough serving for two people. Noodles had great texture and flavor. The Thai iced tea, large size, was HUGE. I do wish I had ordered the small drink. Although it was a very good Thai tea I couldn't drink the whole thing. If I were a local I would probably eat here often. read more

Great food! & great owners! Always something good at Thai town. If your whining about the price you should go to McDonalds.

Was looking for a late lunch after seeing the sights around Amarillo. Found Thai Town and couldn't be happier with our choice! Service was quick and friendly, our food (spring rolls, pad Thai, chicken Penang and shrimp Penang) was delicious, plentiful and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.!!! read more

Amazing food! Fried rice with tomatoes? Who knew! The chicken was crisp, great service.

First off its great to call in an order and be told it would be ready in 10 minutes. Order was ready in under 8 minutes. Everything was hot and fresh Pad Thai so hot couldn't eat it for a few minutes back at the hotel. Egg rolls evaporated quickly they came wrapped in a paper bag and were just a tad greasy on outside. They're fried so that's normal. Not greasy on the inside and also had a great flavor. Cash only accepted for payment. read more

Still drive thru and Togo only months later... Large Thai tea was great but the pho was not very good. Meat was already in the broth. Not flavorful. Tasted like watered down pho. read more

So amazing. We're Thai food snobs being from the Houston area we have no shortage of incredible SE Asian cuisine and we were so pleased with this for takeout. We got the chicken curry (huge portion) incredibly flavorful and simple. Chicken, curry broth and bamboo shoots. But so so yummy. The Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles) with beef was also very good. Next trip through Amarillo we 100% will be back. read more

Absolutely love the beef fried rice! Definitely recommend the chicken as well. I make two meals out of it. Never been disappointed with anything else on the menu. As others have noted, the pad kee mao is outstanding: perfectly cooked noodles and on-point zingy flavor. Tofu wasn't shown on the menu l, but they added it for me. Plenty for two people/two meals. The egg drop soup (vegetarian) was also fantastic, with lots of green onion. read more

It was ok. Only open for take out. Doesn't compare to California Thai. I've been spoiled.

My dad and I had the lunch special. You can choose from several entrees and each comes with fried rice and an egg roll. I had the garlic chicken. My dad had the stir fry mixed vegetables entree. We also ordered an appetizer that looked kind of like dumplings. I forgot the name of them but I think it started with a G. It was very good and well priced. The restaurant was clean, even down to the menus. The service was excellent and the staff was kind. I recommend!!! read more

Surprise stop! Delicious and generous portions! Would definitely return! Nice to enjoy something on a road trip that isn't too unhealthy!!!

Thai Town is always great when I am in town. Friendly service, great food, good hours.

I really like this little family Thai place. I've only ever tried one dish here, #47 pork. Had it four times, its delicious! The people are friendly and the food is fast and steaming hot. It's not the greatest decor or biggest dining room, but the food, or at least #47 pork, is good! read more

overpriced and tasteless. tried it 3 times and nothing i ordered was anything to boast about.

I frequent this restaurant particularly on Fridays after work. 2 Fridays ago I placed my order with 2 orders of Wantons but when i arrived home 12 miles later, I noticed I only had received 1 order of wantons with my order. i decided to just let it go, besides it was only 1 order less and to far to go all the way back to complain. The following Friday I go back and ordered as usual and the sweet lady taking my order said...We owe you an order of wantons, I said, thats ok. The sweet lady stated , no, I will give you 2 orders of wantons but only charge you for 1 order. I was so moved by what she did. The sweet lady that brings my order to my vehicle is also very very sweet, smiling, very courteous...She evens bows and says Thank You after giving you your order. I greatly recommend this Thai Town Restaurant on Ross St. in Amarillo, Texas...its a must try ! Food is very Good and the customer service is even greater. Thank You Thai Town for the great food and the Outstanding Customer Service ! You are the Best ! God Bless You ! read more

walked in and was seated immediately, which was good because they got busy fast. Waitress was very friendly. I chose the 2 entrée lunch special, beef and broccoli and pepper steak, which comes with egg roll and your choice of fried or steamed rice. The flavor was good but one bite was cold and one was hot???? I like my food to be very hot when it comes to the table. Both entrées tasted exactly the same and not enough broccoli. I do like alot of veggies in my food. I could tell the people who were here come often, so I know they like it. I would probably come back! For a first timer... give it a shot you might love it, I've been told I'm picky. Lol They were pretty busy, but my waitress never came back to my table...NOT GOOD busy or not!!! read more
