This place is like a hidden gem in Amarillo, TX. It's a great place to eat if you're on a budget and are on the way from or to Palo Duro Canyon State Park. For the amount and quality of the food you get, the food is fairly cheap. The taste may not be completely on point, but it's still good. Would I return to this place? Of course. The prices were so cheap compared to other Thai places I've been to. Trust me, when you see the building, you may not want to go in, but do it. You won't regret it if you're looking for cheap food. read more

So disappointed, a table that arrived after me was served before me and my family finished their meal and I still had not received my full order. When issue was addressed they didn't care or try to fix the wrong doing. read more

Ordered some grub from Thai diamond we had also got sticky rice but it did not make it home. Service was nice and quick the place was real nice especially where it's located. Overall this place always hits the spot and it's a good place to swing by from some good Chinese food. read more

First off, cash only so be prepared. Basic ambience. But you get massive portions of delicious food for a very fair price. Service is okay at best, but the portions, price, and quality of the food make this place great. read more

The food is decent, however, the service isn't great. Waitresses look young, possibly underage, and were vaping near the register and in front of customers. Not very friendly and the restaurant has sort of an awkward vibe to it. read more

Very good food, they have a tremendous amount of selections. The portions are very plentiful and is enough for leftovers. The food is always hot and fresh, and the staff is very knowledgeable and nice. read more

Came for weekly Sunday lunch with my family and our usual spot was closed so we tried this place out. Never again tho-- raw chicken, reallyyyy salty egg drop soup, rancid seafood (mainly the shrimp). Plus it wasn't even busy but the servers took forever to bring anything to us because they were busy prepping sauces. Every plate that had shrimp was gross and my little brother had a raw chicken wing. The food here was subpar and the service lacked enthusiasm. You can tell there's zero quality control. read more

Thai Diamond - Raw chicken wings - Thai Near Me - Amarillo, Texas

I'm giving this place the F word!!! F for family that is. Almost everything on the menu is meant to be shared family style. My recommendation is ordering at least four dishes to every two people at the table. That way you can sample each authentic made thai dish. This place tends to be packed every time I go so I usually order to go. Chef is real nice. He will make an appearance on the floor and greet customers and make sure food is served at 100%. read more

So, when I drove up, it looked like a carryout, which, it kinda is. The restaurant/carryout was packed with people and flies; but don't panic this is a common thing everywhere in Texas, including the Walmart! Plus I've learned that the only thing to be very afraid of here are the "Texas Terrorists" they call "flies." They will hunt you down, confront you for being in "their" town, then bite on you and follow you to your car. It's true, I couldn't possibly make this stuff up. So if you are afraid of bugs, specifically "gang" flies, don't come to Texas...This is their town. Just saying...what don't kill you makes you stronger. Now, back to the review. It smelled delicious, and the portions were humongous! The phone was ringing off the hook for call-in orders, and the staff were sweet. Based on the reviews, I couldn't decide what to get and the sweet girl taking my order didn't even take out the menu. When people come here they know already what they want! When she did bring out the menu, I was shocked at the cheap prices!!!! I asked her what I should get, and she said she always gets the Pad Thai...Soooo, since for one they sold Bud Light Lime for $1.75 and actually put a lime in it, and two I had to write a helpful review, I was sold on ordering the following: 1. The beer of course 2. Diet Dr. Pepper to go 3. Pad Si U - Beef 4. OMG!! The Spring Rolls, with unknown yellow sauce. 5. Pad Thai Chicken - a slew of other unknown sauces and super spicy chopped chili; yummy! Everything came to $20.00 (cash only, don't forget) even!!!! WOW!!! I was somewhat "forced" to forget the gang that guarded the place to try everything right there. EVERYTHING WAS FRICKEN AMAZING! A tourist on a budget's dream come true!! And once the "protectors" knew I was unafraid, they left me be. ;-) One last note, the staff didn't just leave me be, they kept checkin in to make sure I was ok. read more

The best seafood soup and sticky rice and wings. My kids love going there. Very clean and so attentive.

Got an order to go. Ready in ample time. Seafood pad Thai- got laughed at over the phone because I called it pad Thai seafood. Had 2 pieces of shrimp and a few pieces of squid. About 97% noodles, which were tasty. Spring rolls good. Oh and cash only, something I wasn't told. read more

The food is decent and the price is reasonable. Nice customer service. overall its a place I would go eat when I want some asian food.

I've always enjoyed this restaurant but this trip was very disappointing because the portion sizes were half of what they used to provide. The food was ok just not much of it. read more

I love this place! The sticky rice and beef Jerry is always good. Every time is always hot and fresh!

This restaurant is takeout only (for COVID reasons) and they are top notch with consistency and quality. Being my fav for nearly a decade, my favorites are the vegetable soup, vegetable fried rice, combination fried rice, cheese crab, summer rolls, egg rolls, spring rolls, and if you're really into Thai food you'll absolutely love the mango catfish! read more

Excellent customer service! I decided to go here due to other reviews and was pleasantly surprised. It was a bit far but worth it. We ordered the combination rice, chicken extra spicy rice, pad ci-u and chop suey. The servings were very generous and the food was good. The spicy rice was very spicy which was great. The cook (possibly owner) saw me waiting for my order, which I expected to wait due to my large order, and was very aware that I was there and worked hard in getting my order together and right. The workers were very polite and catered to the customers, which was surprising since the majority were teenage boys. I saw one of them hold open the door for an elderly man using a walker. Very sweet. I would definitely go back. read more

This place is not good at bringing some food on time. I ordered Pho and waited 40min. I had to get up and leave because they served four different tables while I was still waiting the soup. It's very disappointing because this was the second time. read more

Delicious Thai on Grand! Absolutely the best Pad Thai I have had in Amarillo. I ordered it spicy and that's how they served it. It was great! Fast, friendly service, a very gracious owner made sure we were satisfied with our meal. The beef jerky and sticky rice were also good. Their beef jerky is a little thicker cut, but has a really nice flavor. Summer rolls were good, egg drop soup only OK (Thai Star still has the best egg drop soup in town!). Can't wait to return! Cash only! read more

Eh. Lots of choices in town... This was just okay. Its not cheap but the ingredients didn't taste any better than any other local Thai establishment. read more

Many good memories here. Amarillo shockingly has some of the best Thai food I've ever had. Since leaving Amarillo a year ago I have yet to find a Thai place that compares to Thai Diamond. And if you're in Ama and not eating Thai food somewhere off east Amarillo Blvd, you're doing it wrong. This area is full of amazing food!! Beef jerky and sticky rice abounds here- it's at almost every single Thai place. And TD has the best version, hands down. Especially with that red salsa. Trust me I've tried most of them. It's not like what you think of when you think of beef jerky- it's tender, hot, and a little crispy on the edges. So delicious. Get it as an appetizer. For your meal I recommend the panang curry with fried rice. Also pad see ew is great too. Portions are huge. I miss this place so much!! read more

Great value for the food. Awesome portions. I ordered the chicken fried rice and the wontons. Awesome! And they are generous with the fillings on the wontons. Only thing that irritated me was the poor layout. I went in to grab carry out and it's just a cluster. A total mess. Chairs and tables everywhere. I went to try to stand in line without getting in someone's way but then people started cutting the line, the cashiers were switching in and out about a total of 5 times. And they kept calling random customers up to pay. All while I was just standing there in amazement. Something else I noticed while waiting in line... They don't have an ice machine. The waitresses grab ice from a cooler with a cup. If it wasn't just a cluster and a mess inside, I would rate it five stars based on my first visit. read more

After reading the reviews and seeing it was 5 stars and our newly favorite spot (Thai Star) was closed we decided to try it. Our experience wasn't as glowing as everyone else's seemed to be. It was cheap, the place was packed and the to go orders where piling up. We have several vegetarians in our group which they don't provide for with Tofu, and there aren't an abundance of vegetables in the dishes. We ordered Pad Thai, vegetable Fried Rice, Panang curry, Pad See Ew and Pad Kee Mow and while each dish was good they all kind of tasted the same. The other thing was the restrooms were quite discusting. Which for a gas station is bad enough but when I go to a restaurant I identify the cleanliness of the bathroom with the kitchen. Probably won't go back, when in Amarillo we will stick with Thai Star read more

The food was terrific! My friend and I got fried shrimp rice as a little meal before we went off to hit the road but after eating just a couple of bites, we decided to delay our road trip to eat more thing off their menu. (I forgot what we ordered when going back) And it didnt cost a fortune for everything we got. read more

Great food .... lots of food for the price it's amazing..... will keep going back the only reason I gave them a 4 stars instead of five was they only take CASH ...... read more

If anyone ever told me there was better Lab Gai than thai star I would have dismissed them as a nut-job. Call me crazy, but this is hands down the best I have had. The Pad Thai is mild flavored and not too greasy and the Summer Rolls are delicious. Pad Ci U is the best in town. The best part was that three entrees and three drinks (including a Thai Tea) were $20. Also their Tom Yum and Thom Kai Gai has replaced thai stars PHU as the best soup in town. read more

Pretty decent service and mediocre food. I had the pad Thai that was mentioned on yelp and truthfully, it was way too sweet for my taste. The portions were good but it was way too sweet. My friend had the Tom yum soup and the flavor was tasty, but I would still go to B. Tokyo for theirs. Overall, I would come again, I would just get something else on the menu. read more

This is the best Thai food in Amarillo. Had a friend who actually lived in Thailand for over 10 years tell me this is some of the best Thai food he's ever had! Can't go wrong with anything on the menu but I really like the Summer Rolls, Chicken Larb, & Seafood Soup. Also, order the Pic Nam Plau (zipped up Fish Sauce- trust me). read more

The service was horrible but the food ok. The server gave my rice to another table and it seemed like they couldn't figure out how to get me some rice. every rice order that came up went to a table...not mine. its like the servers don't have a table just help anyone.. read more

A hangover fave! I am addicted to Thai Diamond's beef jerky and sticky rice. The dipping sauce that it comes with is like crack. Add a side of egg rolls and a modelo and you're good to go. Also a big fan of their pho. read more

Oh I love Thai Diamond so much. Amarillo has phenomenal Thai food, generally, but Thai Diamond is my favorite. It's both delicious and cheap. I have 0 complaints. Make sure you can handle some spicy food before you order anything more than medium. Cash only, so come prepared. read more

Passing through Amarillo on the way home, we chose Thai Diamond for dinner based on liking Thai and Yelp. We were not disappointed! In fact, my wife pronounced the Pad Thai better than that from my favorite restaurant in Albuquerque. At Thai restaurants, I always order Kee Mow with chicken, Thai hot. At Thai Diamond, "thai hot" was medium by my standards, but flavor was good. Kids were happy with pad thai and Teri beef. Place is casual and kid friendly but unfortunately cash only. read more

The food was cold, flies was everywhere and worst of all the waitress just so rude. This restaurant gave Asian a bad name.

Short and straight to the point. Prices are affordable, portions are humongous and everything is delicious.

The food here is great. 3 people ate for only $20!!!! They're allways a little busy but if you have the time you should go out to eat with family or friends and you won't break your wallet. read more

This is mine and my brother's new Saturday lunch tradition. I drive 30 minutes from canyon, pick him up and we come eat at this little gem on Grand. It's small, but the service is excellent. The same two or three waiters are always there. The food, beef jerky and sticky rice, chicken panang, has always been fresh, hot, and flavorful. One of my favorite places in town. As consistent as OHMS. Love this little place. read more

Stopped on my way through to New Mexico, and it was great. The panang curry was delicious, with lots of beautiful crisp veggies and Thai basil.
