Dinner price starts at 3:30 pm. I can't have diary or egg and when I asked the waitress if they had an allergen menu she said no and took me to the guy in the front. When I asked the man if he knew what had diary/egg since I couldn't eat it he repeated "no egg?" twice. After I confirmed twice I couldn't have egg he laughed in my face. He did end up taking me through the buffet line pointing out what had egg or diary so I could avoid it but I felt he could have gone about it in a kinder way. He was also very rude to the waitresses, I felt bad for them. As an aside, the sinks in the bathroom were like little power washers- the water pressure was so high the water splashes all over you.

Sorry so blurry! Front of restaurant

I'm looking at the reviews of this restaurant and I'm very surprised! I'm very critical and thorough when it comes to reviewing a particular restaurant. I travel ALOT, so I decided to check out this buffet. It was only a short walk from the hotel I was staying at. When people tell you that everything is bigger in Texas, BELIEVE THEM! This place is HUGE! I really liked this buffet and the sushi bar. Not to many patrons for dinner. Maybe because the day of week? If I'm ever in TX, I will definitely visit this buffet again! The place isn't too bad, drink not included (of course).

Service was fine but food was terrible. It's about $17.50 per person, place kind of stunk.

The pricing and service were really great. But while they had a good selection of food, we found most of it was pretty bland.

Thanks to Lin's grand buffet for helping clean my colon. After the diarrhea stopped, I got to enjoy hot brown water coming out of me.

I liked that there was the option of Mongolian BBQ, sushi and three or four rows of a variety of things.

The Big Texan Steak Ranch is definitely an experience, not just a meal!…read more We went all in and ordered the ribeye, brisket, and ribs with sides of green chili creamed corn, fried okra, and cowboy beans. The steak was flavorful and tender, the ribs literally fell off the bone, and the brisket was solid and satisfying. The standout for me? The green chili creamed corn and fried okra, absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The cowboy beans were okay... just beans, nothing special compared to the rest of the meal. Service was superb, friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. And of course, the entertainment factor is real! While we were there, we watched someone attempt the famous 72 oz steak challenge. Fun fact: it's actually cheaper to take the challenge and pay less than to just order the steak outright. That alone tells you how legendary this place is. If you're in Amarillo, this is a must-stop for both the food and the atmosphere.

My dad…read morehas been talking about this restaurant non-stop since the last time he drove through the area, all of the billboards advertising the 72 oz steak challenge really drew him in. We took a stop here for lunch recently. Our server was okay, pretty bare minimum service and I had to ask for water refills. I liked the fried pickle appetizer, however I felt the pickle spears were too thick. Andreas were good, I really enjoyed the quesadilla and my dad enjoyed his steak. There's a bit of a communal vibe inside, with long tables where you are sat next to other parties. It was fun to talk to other people also going on road trips and talk about where they're coming from and going to.

They offer both drive-up and dine-in, and we decided to eat inside. The cashier was incredibly friendly--she handed us menus, pointed out the specials, answered our questions, and took our order with a smile. I went with the 7-vegetable korma special and swapped the naan for papadum (GF). The korma was flavorful with just the right amount of spice, and it even included some paneer... yum! My partner ordered the chicken biryani with papadum and really enjoyed his meal as well. Overall, a great find on our road trip. We'd definitely stop by again the next time we're in Amarillo.

ORIGINAL POST: Had my food DoorDashed since I'm on a work trip and working at an office. The food arrived hot and fresh. Smelled absolutely amazing. I ordered a Naan-Wich Aka Shawarma, hot, with steak ($3.00 up charge). The hot was definitely about right for hot. Probably compared to a good hot wing. I'm sure spicy and extra spicy are hot-hot! Flavor overall was great. The naan was perfectly cooked. Now as for the steak, the quality was disappointing. The first bite I had a very hard piece that was inedible. You know, it happens. A few bites later another inedible piece, but wasn't as hard this time at least. Not a big deal, a couple pieces does happen, but turned out to be 3-4 pieces were inedible and I had to spit them out. Most of the edible pieces were a little chewy and possibly overcooked. Other than the steak, overall was pretty good. I would definitely be willing to give them another try... just not with steak. lol.

It is so peaceful inside there not a lot of loud noises clanking and crazy music. The server name was Zai She did an amazing job answered all my crazy questions and was so friendly. I feel like it's hard to find a good Chinese Food place here in Amarillo. This place was exactly what we were looking for. I hated it took us so long to find it. The food was absolutely amazing. It will definitely be a regular restaurant we go to. Thank you to Pacific Rim for a wonderful first experience, hoping for many more to come. By the way, sorry about the messy Kung pow chicken picture. When it got there, I tore into it so fast that I forgot to take a picture of the presentation. Wanted to make a correction in my post. Yelp reviews pay off once again. It was surprisingly empty with only two tables occupied at 7pm on a Saturday so I'm guessing lots of carry out and deliveries because the kitchen was busy. I ordered take out and it still was ready pretty quickly. Very friendly and helpful staff when I asked about the different spicy heat levels and different foods. I had some hot and sour soup, and the cashew chicken with lo mein noodles and got it medium heat. It was perfect. Hot enough for flavor and a little sting but not so much to ruin eating it in comfort. Portion was great and very flavorful. Wish I lived closer but have a new go to spot anytime in town. Highly recommended.
