Thai Tip is always a solid option for Thai, they are just about everything you want including lots of curry and fried rice options. I recently went with a friend for lunch, and I will note that they don't offer any lunch specials that I'm aware of. We ended up sharing a basil fried rice and one of the noodle dishes. My only concern was overall the food was very salty, it had good flavor but way too much salt.

My daughter loves this place and when she's in town we go. The food is tasty and has the heat you desire. The service is always great and while small it has plenty of seating and food options.

An unassuming exterior hides the most exceptional, spicy chicken curry (C1) I've ever enjoyed.

Summary: Thai Tip is too slow for lunch unless you have an hour plus to burn. On Tue 6 May 2025, I arrived at 12:15 for lunch. I then stood awkwardly at the door without being greeted, despite a waitress being feet away, cleaning a table. It was not until more guests arrived that I clarified that we were not a party of four but two parties. I then took my seat and began to wait in a state of mild anxiety, in that a failure to greet a customer is not a good sign regarding the incoming quality of service. The waitstaff did not disappoint, failing to acknowledge my presence for the entire 30 min I was in the restaurant. There was no promise of getting to me, no menu, and no water. I just sat completely ignored as the waitstaff served other customers. I have been coming to Thai Tip for a decade, so I know good food takes time. However, this was a failure of the waitstaff, not a wait from the kitchen. A decision was made to ignore customers due to what I assume is a perceived workload. Regardless of the quality of food, this type of neglect is just right out. Thus, after being in the restaurant 30 min without being acknowledged, I left at 12:45 and walked over to Eloy's. I had food on my table 7 min later (12:52) and had finished and paid at 13:20. The entire meal began and ended in almost exactly 30 min, the same amount of time I sat around in silence at Thai Tip. As such, this restaurant is off my list as a lunch locations. I'll give dinner a try later in the week and document my results. In the future, this will be a to-go restaurant only.

Pad Thai noodles beef - A takeout container holds Pad Thai noodles with slices of beef, bean sprouts, chopped green onions, and crushed peanuts. Two lime wedges are placed on top for garnish, and a small clear cup contains a dark sauce, likely for dipping or flavoring. The dish appears freshly prepared and ready for consumption, typical of Thai cuisine.

It's been years since eating at this thai restaurant but it seems after years the Pad Thai , usually the most popular Thai noodle dish in general hasn't improved much, the noodles and taste were good , the portion and meat beef texture remains low quality the beef meat really lacks tenderizing a common chef skill in most Asian cooking methods was missing here causing tough untender , drier meat, this shows a lazy cooking prep method by this restaurant which is surprising since they do somehow still get high reviews by regulars, so it seems these regulars have lesser standards of what they feel is a 5star quality. The prices are also higher without quality.

The place is a hidden gem located at Wyoming and constitution. It's a clean and cute decoration inside. The staff is really friendly and very fast. We got patay, spring rolls, yellow curry, pineapple fried rice and fried rice. Their white rice comes out in a heart shape which is adorable. The spice levels have a kick for sure so be careful. The curry was so delicious and filling perfect comfort food. Everything else was delicious and amazing. It was reasonably priced it was $60 for everything. I left with left over very satisfied.

I got the pad Thai chicken noodles and it was really good 10/10. My lips are burning but it was so good. The service was nice but very small but that's okay.

Worst food ever. This was the full portion

Pineapple Curry - A bowl of pineapple curry containing sliced red bell peppers, pieces of meat, and other vegetables, served on a white plate at Thai Tip restaurant. The curry appears creamy and is placed on a wooden table, with a side of white rice on a separate plate in the background.

Hungry, looking for close by on a cold day. Normally this would be a chili kind of day but alas... But this place popped up - I know I can find something akin to chili here. Curry's a great substitute. Small place, busy & loud. No problem finding a place to sit. Lot of things in the menu by my target was curry. Found the Pineapple Curry with pork, added Green Curry with chicken both with medium heat & an order of Pot Stickers - these actually came in an order divisible by 2. Pot stickers came out hot & crispy. The curries followed close behind. The heat was just right - at the upper end of medium. Both curries were nice and thick but there was something missing. Maybe not enough curry or too much sodium. It wasn't bad - just missing that one thing to bring it to the level of curry we've had at other places.

What a disappointing experience. This was our second visit here. Our last time was over a half year ago, and either they've gotten a new chef overall or they had a new chef for this evening. We came in on a Wednesday evening at 4:30pm, so there wasn't a dinner rush. There were two servers and at least one cook, yet the wait was very, very long for the food. There was only one other couple in the restaurant, so why there was such a delay was confusing. I had the pineapple fried rice with tofu, medium spice. I ordered cilantro to be added, but they forgot it. The entree came out hot instead of medium, and for some reason tasted incredibly metallic. I'm not sure what caused it, but it was not appetizing in any way. The service was slow and non-attentive, which again was odd given there were two servers and just two two-tops (so four patrons overall). Previously I had given Thai Tip a 4/5, but this time my dining companion and I agreed on a 2/5. I think that's generous given the food was unappetizing, the wait time slow, and the service inattentive. It's too bad their chef changed over or the quality has declined in the past half year. We won't return.

I started with a Thai iced tea, which was absolutely delicious--perfectly sweet and creamy, and very refreshing. For an appetizer we ordered the potstickers, which came out hot and crispy with a tasty dipping sauce that paired really well with them. For my entrée I had the fried rice with tofu, and it was excellent. The rice had great flavor and texture, and the tofu was cooked nicely with a good mix of vegetables. My husband ordered another noodle soup dish that looked amazing as well--it had a flavorful beef broth, noodles, and herbs that smelled incredible. Overall, the food was delicious and the experience was really enjoyable. If you're looking for Thai food in Albuquerque, Thai Spice is definitely worth a visit. Five stars all the way!

The pineapple fried rice was the perfect balance spicy, sweet and savory. The rice had the perfect texture and the perfect balance of flavors, I just don't think anyone could have made it any better. I'm absolutely addicted, I feel the exact same way about the pad Thai as I do the fried rice. It's hard to say which one is my favorite dish here. The pad Thai had a little sweet too but not too much, just enough to really make all the other flavors come home. I have very rarely had a better pad Thai than this anywhere. It is a contender for every some of LA's best Thai food. The drunken noodles / pad see ew. Is good, really good actually. Not quite the same sentiment as the other two but I thought it was great and I would definitely be willing to eat it again. The only criticism I have is I wish their phone customer service wasn't on the weird side. I called and the lady first told me they don't have delivery, I asked her directly and said "not even on Uber Eats or DoorDash? Then she said maybe our website might have an option, so I went on there, it was some unknown third party company I never heard of. I was a little hesitant to put my card on it but I really wanted to try Thai spice so I took the chance, Sure enough the driver arrived on time; food was hot, and I enjoyed my experience. Hopefully their employees learn what they are able to do so the next customer doesn't walk away.

Overall, this was a disappointing visit, and I do not plan to return. I visited for the lunch special around 1:00 PM, and the restaurant was not particularly busy at the time. I placed an order for the lunch special as the spicy jungle noodles. When my food arrived, I realized I had not been given any utensils. I waited approximately five minutes before the server returned, at which point I had to request them. This was the moment when I began to feel that the level of service was lacking. What stood out most was the noticeable difference in service provided to another table. A group of three seated nearby by the same server received a much more attentive and welcoming experience. They were promptly offered water, given the soup of the day, and encouraged to place their order right away. While I understand that regular customers may sometimes receive more familiarity, the disparity in treatment made the experience feel inconsistent and unwelcoming. As someone who works only a few minutes away, I was hoping to find a place I could return to regularly. Unfortunately, this experience did not encourage that.
