    Peanut curry with tofu
    Angie K.

I kept hearing awesome things about this place and was so glad I went in to give it a try. I decided to branch out and try something different that wasn't the pad thai which is my go to dish. Instead I tried the peanut curry with tofu and it really hit the spot. Great flavor and lots of options for levels of heat. I went with medium and it was just right for me. The portion size was great, enough for a good sized lunch but enough to take home if you wanted something lighter. The staff was very friendly and gave us plenty of time to look through the menu to decide what we wanted. They were also happy to advise us on levels of spiciness. It's a very cute little spot and I'm very glad I tried it. I will certainly be back to try more and definitely to try the pad thai!

I came in during lunch post rush around 1. Ordered a beef pad thai, it didn't take long to come out surprisingly. Luckily I got there before the next rush. Might a little walk with all the business and parking. The food was amazing, the taste was just right. It wasn't too sweet, which I find is a common problem but the taste was there. The portions also hit the spot, I didn't find myself wanting more and not overly full. My server was Sabrina she was very kind and welcoming answered any questions I had about the menu. I would definitely go back and try everything else that they have! It can get a little loud but its expected with a busy restaurant.

We had ordered take out on a Sunday since we came in late to town from a trip. Our food was still warm when we got home and packaged nicely. We hope to visit again and dine in on our next visit and have an updated review. Pad Thai was 4/5 a little dry but has all the right flavors and amount of each ingredients. Lo Mein Noodles 4/5 my husband liked it but the hot+ was not spicy enough for him. Potstickers 4/5 good amount for the price but nothing special about them. Dragon fruit drink 5/5 loved it not too sweet and added boba to it

***This review was for carry out only*** Ordered the food online and was told it would be ready in 40 minutes. I guess on a Friday night that is to be expected. Came and waited a bit longer still. Was very pleased with the food. All the dishes had good flavor profiles and a nice spice level. My favorite dish was the red curry. The drunken noodles were pretty good too. Ordered the chicken satay and the portion size was TINY!!! Came with three tiny strips of chicken. Won't order that again. The star of the dinner was the mango sticky rice. Got nervous when I saw it was made with black rice but it was AMAZING. Maybe next time we will dine in and I can comment on the service.

I went around lunchtime and was immediately seated. My server (Ploy) was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. My food was delicious and the Thai iced I had was thick but also really good. It was a nice experience with good ambiance overall. 10/10 would recommend this place and will be back again!

Sa is situated in the same plaza as Tamashi off of Holly Avenue. I went on a Monday night and the place was PACKED! And now I know why! Right when you walk in you get greeted warmly by one of the waitresses and get sat almost immediately. Menu is front and back but has all of the Thai classics plus some unique spins. I opted for the spicy jungle noodles which were exactly how I like them! I love that they use the really wide rice noodles and there were plenty of veggies. You can order anything mild, medium, or hot. They can even do the spice level in between mild and medium! I think this is gonna be my new go to Thai restaurant.

Sa Thai is a great restaurant! The food tasted more authentic than many other Thai restaurants around. They offered less available Thai food like boat noodles and khao soi that many Thai places did not have. I thought the taste was good. It wasn't 100% authentic but you can't really expect that when not all ingredients are necessarily easily available here in ABQ. The staff were kind and helpful. The only thing was parking was quite hard to find in the lot especially during lunch rush hours and the spot is on a smaller side; it may be suitable for perhaps upto 6 people, and if you are aiming for larger group than that, better try to get there/make proper reservation ahead of time!

I thought the service was attentive, friendly and concerned (very aware of customers' piquancy level preferences) and the room and patio were very nice - the nicest of any restaurant in the shopping plaza, with lovely red flowers everywhere. Nice lagniappe ginger/tofu soup with rice - quite a large portion, too. The pumpkin curry (with tofu) was fantastic - one of the best curries I've had in my life. Green curry (with pork) was also very delicious - and was LOADED with pork and pork-y taste. Pricing was as expected for this type of food in this area, with lunch portions being priced a bit lower than full size entrees. My one visit to Sa Thai has me thinking this is one of the best Thai places in town. I'll be back for sure to try more!

I'm a HUGE fan of this place. Wow! The pumpkin curry and pad kee mow were both exceptional. Their flavors are so delicious and the chicken was tasty, not dry and perfectly cut. The vegetables and rice were cooked perfectly. I can't wait to return! Lots of tables, eat alone, get takeout, go on a date, or bring the family! Staff was so kind and friendly.

Been coming here pretty consistently on my work trips to ABQ and the Thai food is good! ---boat noodles: flavorful and I asked to add vegetables and they were able to do this for me! ---khao soi: also flavorful and the crispy chicken on top was a nice protein ---green curry: my go to order at thai restaurants and they do it well Staff is always so friendly!

Just a gorgeous pumpkin curry from these guys tonight. Excellent flavor, but not quite hot enough for me. I was annoyed that I had to drive over in rush-hour traffic (my mistake) and the place was quite a distance from my house, but by the time I sank my teeth into the food all was forgiven. Really delicious just I ordered it hot and it was medium at best. But it was perfectly cooked and the spices were outstanding. Next time I will specify Thai hot.

The atmosphere was pleasant, and the restaurant was notably busy for a Thursday lunchtime. Due to limited seating availability for our large group, we were accommodated at larger communal tables in the center of the restaurant with barstool seating. While most seating in the restaurant includes padding, these stools did not. The beef Pad Thai was flavorful and well prepared; however, you should expect pricing of nearly $20 per entrée for a lunch portion.

This is the first thai place we have had in Albuquerque, and it doesn't disappoint. Not at all. It has a nice cute vibe, you can kind've see Sandia from this location inside, and the details in this place are top notch. The have a hand painted drawing, the tuk tuk taxi cabs, and a nice decor. We had the spring roles, and the peanut sauce is fantastic. Nice little appetizer before the real meal. We tend to cook yellow curry's and pad thai. The pad thai here is similar to what we make, which is rare for us to find. There is plenty of sauce, flavor, and we could go alittle higher on spice next time. Overall, the pad thai was enough just to split. The yellow curry, absolutely amazing. It's in our top 5 for currys. This has more of a street feel, vs like Samui Thai in Legacy west (Dallas). It's delicious, and everything is cooked well. What sets this place apart, it is the decor and the service. Super friendly, nice staff. I'm a fan of this place.

My mom ordered the 505 Cobb and they forgot her chicken which was frustrating after waiting for nearly an hour. However, they did make up for it by making her extra chicken! Sadly, we found kind of a mixed bag. First, the standout items. The margaritas were fantastic; some of the best we've had in the USA and extremely generous. The pinto bean sides were some of the best we've had since returning to the States in 2013. Perhaps not quite as great as those of the shuttered El Cotorro but still stellar. Next, the tacos. We tried only two of the several tacos on offer - The El Pastor and the Pescado. Both were served in what was called "corn tortillas" but these differed from virtually any corn tortillas we've ever had in Mexico or elsewhere. They were at least twice as thick as your typical corn tortilla found in just about all Mexican taco places in Mexico and elsewhere. The consistency and taste were quite different from your normal corn tortilla also. In fact, they really didn't seem to have much taste at all, of corn or anything else. Now to the fillings. At the aforementioned El Cotorro, the meat for the Al Pastor tacos was cooked on a vertical rotating spit which was the only way we ever saw it cooked in Mexico. The meat La Reforma used in their al pastor tacos was more chunky and way drier than any we ever had in Mexico or at El Cotorro. It didn't taste similar to any al pastor tacos were ever had in Mexico. It also kind of seemed like it wasn't cooked recently whereas in Mexico you can watch the cook with a large knife carve off the meat from the vertical spit right in front of you. Usually the time between the carving and it sitting in front of you is under 10 seconds. The fish taco at La Reforma was disappointing. The fish resembled a fish stick but one without much flavor. We wouldn't order it again. We gave the mini-churros a try for dessert. Because they were so small, they were way crispier than your typical regular-sized churro. We might return but we'd skip the al pastor and the fish tacos and try some of the other tacos. But we strongly suggest that they dump their current "corn tortillas" because they're not that good. Way too thick and virtually tasteless. Lo siento. Kudos for the margaritas and the beans. The rest of what we tried didn't live up to the recent glowing review in the ABQ Journal.

The Margarita Flatbread was med. Taste was pretty good, but it was soggy and didn't hold up well at all. That said it was the best of the 3 things we did get. Unfortunately, that's not saying much..... The burger was okay also. Not bad by any means, but nothing special at all either....considering there's a burger place next door I thought the burger would be able to compete with the neighbor, but trust me if you want a burger, go next door! They don't put sauce on it at all, no nothing. Just straight up patty, cheese and bun. Only my 6 year old cousin eats like that.....I did add some mayo and ketchup, which helped, but still not a great burger.... The bun didn't add much for us either, even though it was baked in house with green chilli....A simple brioche would be better imo... The fries with the burger were actually the best single item of the experience. Their fries are really good! So good that I was going to eat every single one of them but instead my waiter just came and took my plate before I had finished the last 10 or so. No are you finished yet, or anything, just grabbed it, turned and left. I was so shocked I didn't even have time to say I'm not done with that. He left the crummy chicken bites we weren't eating though..... LOL Seriously don't touch my plate unless it's empty, or you ask first!
