top: pad see ew with steak bottom: red curry with chicken both from the lunch menu :)

I went with a friend today and the staff was super friendly! The ambiance is super cozy and it feels like you've entered someone's home and are being treated like a part of their family. I had the red curry spicy level 3 and it was super yummy .. and think next time I'll get it at level 4. My friend had the pad see ew spicy level 2 and he said that he liked it as well. I would definitely come back and bring more friends along to try it :)

Little huts for dining private and intimate time with your favorite Thai partner.

Yelp shows I have not done a review in 10 years for Thai Texas. We have been here several times and neglected to update. But the food is still great and we enjoy the atmosphere. We started with our standard Spring Rolls with shrimp. I ordered the Tom Kha Kia soup. My sponsor ordered the Crispy Pad Thai. We enjoy the little huts.

Fresh spring rolls, crab Ragu noon and a Thai tea. Waiting on my drunken noodles. I love this place

I've been coming here for years, feel like my home away from home. I really enjoy the drunken noodles that are flavored by the wok that they brought over from Thailand. This is the only place I know that I can get Kai soi which is an amazing noodle soup, it's an amazing restaurant and I really hope you visit. The atmosphere and the food is amazing... And I really love the fact that I get to see so many of my former students.

Shrimp spring rolls that were almost all lettuce herbs and carrot

I haven't been back in a few years since I started working from home but I was in the area recently during lunchtime and had a craving for pad thai so I stopped in. I was not happy by the time I left. -Miso soup is red not white miso (just a heads up) and not good, bitter -Shrimp spring rolls had two (2!!!) shrimp per roll. That is the least amount of shrimp I have ever had in a spring roll anywhere ever. Half the roll eating was just chewing on herbs and lettuce and carrot. For $6. -Lunch special fried spring roll had no meat and was mushy and chewy and doughy and flavorless -Pad thai tofu used to be so good. I see my photo posted here from 2017 and it looked so fresh and delicious. I'm not sure what happened but the one I had last week was crazy greasy and heavy. There was literally a pool of oil in the bottom of the dish when I was done. My stomach hated me for hours after that. This was one of those rare meals where I thought about abandoning it and leaving halfway through, where even a mere $20 with tip felt like a waste of my money. I am only giving 2 stars because I used to like it so much that I will give them the benefit of the doubt that it was an off day. But I will not be coming back.

New party area

Thai place of the I-20 and green oaks. This places gets busy in the evenings and weekends. Best Thai place in the area. Look in the back and you'll see the grandma and grandpa working the kitchen!

Thermostat, no heat

Maybe I went on an off day. I ordered a water with lemon (didn't receive the lemon), fried spring roll appetizer (they were cold), pork pad Thai with no green onions (there were lots of onions) and miso soup (miso soup was great!). The waitress even repeated my order back to me so I know she heard it but she didn't even bat an eye when she delivered the pad Thai with lots of onions. And I felt bad for the workers because it was so cold in there. 60 degrees because the heat isn't on and it's winter. The workers were wearing coats to combat the cold. In a location filled with options, this place is not a good option.

I'm obsessed with this place!! The food here is better than Sunny Thai (sorry.) Some of my favorites are their Tom Kha Gai soup, drunken noodles, and crab fried rice. Please note, they don't play around with their spice levels. A level 3 is extremely spicy which is saying a lot for someone who is a spicy food fanatic lol. I also love that they deliver for free if you make a big enough purchase which is really easy to do! The service is always super friendly and it's casual so it's an anytime restaurant.

The Tom Yum Goong with shrimp is amazing! I asked for mild but it still had tons of flavor and every bite was delicious! I'll be back!

Ask the Community - Thai Texas

Did Thai Texas go out of business, website is down and phone just rings, its a wednesday?

The best Thai food I have ever found and the service is good. They do get very busy and the wait may be a little slow but every thing is prepared when ordered. I would rather wait than have my food thrown together or get something that has been…

Do they have pork lo mein?

No, website has menu and other pork dishes.
