The employees are helpful in explaining the menu items, so don't hesitate to ask. Level of heat/spice is indicated. You can customize your entree protein with seafood, beef, pork, chicken, and tofu. Pad Thai is a popular option. Homemade desserts may complement your meal. Thai iced coffee and tea have the traditional creamiest you desire. Choose your guilty pleasure foods! You place an order at the counter on a kiosk similar to a computer/laptop touchscreen. Tell the staff where you plan to sit, and they'll cheerfully bring your food. Chef and co-owner Kesorn Imsin, operating alongside John Hartzell, brings recipes directly from her hometown of Phetchabun, Thailand. The kitchen's dedication to traditional technique earned the restaurant the Thai Select designation from the Royal Thai Ministry of Commerce, making it the only certified location in South Central Pennsylvania. The first time I came here the food was just okay. However, I kept seeing reviews that this is the best Thai in the area so I gave it another shot. I'm so glad I did! The second time everything was phenomenal! The flavors, textures, and spice were perfect. I'm not too familiar with Thai food but do like it but not sure what I like from just the names... well this place has a picture book to look through to find something that will suit you. They have different spice level and from experience I know they do not mess around so I went with level 2 out of 5 and it was plenty hot for me. It was all very good and the service was fantastic and the food was ready and hot very quickly. I highly recommend this place if you want a flavor blast. read more

Genuinely excellent. There are untold numbers of fantastic Thai restaurants around me in Northern VA, and this spot is as good as the best of them! The sausages are phenomenal...epically the one on the stick. The shrimp and crab Rangoon apps are must-haves as well. Pineapple fried rice hit the spot, as did the Panang curry. Ate here on a Saturday evening. Staff were attentive and helpful. Ordering is easy. Prices were reasonable given the generous portions. Had the Pad Thai Fried Rice and Tom Yum Goong soup. Order was ready in a reasonable time. Unfortunately the soup was cold. Returned and staff were apologetic. Once heated, the soup was very good. Spice levels are customizable and these were in line with the chosen spiciness. Thai Street was busy on an otherwise quiet evening in the food hall. I heard customers remarking about the reviews so the word is out that this is a solid choice at FSS. They are in the corner of the building which increases traffic due to the seating design, but we were able to find a table without an issue. read more

This place rules, shoutout husband and wife owners John and Sarah. Sarah is from Thailand and is the one who is the source for all of the recipes and then trained the staff on them, so you can be sure that this is authentic Thai cuisine. This is the best Thai food I've ever had. Be careful with the spice, even the lowest spice level is a bit hot but it certainly compliments any of the dishes. My girlfriend has never had Thai food so John recommended the Basil Fried Rice. Him and I agreed that Pad Thai is extremely basic and too typical for a first experience, so she got the fried rice at his recommendation and she LOVED it. Highly recommend the fried rice for Thai food noobs, and I recommend the restaurant to anyone looking for high quality authentic Thai in the Red Lion or York area. I don't know what everyone is raving about. I ordered drunken noodles with shrimp, chive cakes and the Thai iced tea. Everything was so over-the-top sticky sweet from the drunken noodle sauce to the dipping sauce for the cakes. Of course the tea is usually sweet but I've never had one so sickeningly sweet as that. The chive cakes were dripping with grease and mushy in the middle and the whole thing set me back $36.28 bc I added a 10% tip (I don't give 20 when I have to carry it on a plastic tray to my own table.) Almost $40 for a meal where I picked 5 steamed shrimp off the plate and threw everything else away. No thanks. read more

My husband ordered the special--the Garlic Chicken and Pork Belly Bowl--while I went with the Crab Fried Rice, made fresh with real crab meat (not the imitation kind)!! Both dishes were absolutely amazing! The portions were generous, and although I can't remember the exact price, it was definitely worth it. The owner was super cool and laid-back, and the whole atmosphere had such a cozy, chill vibe. Yuck! I agree with another reviewer. The food contains a lot of sugar. There is no reason why fried rice should contain this much sugar. I could not eat it. The shrimp were also spoiled. The meal was inedible, and went straight to the trash. I will not be going back. read more
