Shrimp with Yellow Curry; NO broccoli upon my request
Arthur Y.

This is a repeat visit and AGAIN we were very pleased. The food was superb. Although, my wife had to send her chicken stir fry with mixed veggies back the first time because there had been a misinterpretation of her "hotness" wishes. My wife does NOT want her food spicy hot but she DOES want it SEASONED! Being Gluten Free does limit my options. Fortunately, the menu is appropriately labeled (except for the Tilapia curry that CAN be made GF), I am happy with several of the GF offerings. This visit, I ordered Shrimp in Yellow Curry.* The waitress seemed surprised when she asked how hot I wanted my food and I replied "native style." As the name of the movie, "SOME LIKE IT HOT." My shrimp curry was wonderful. I asked for NO broccoli and my wishes were fulfilled perfectly. Photo of my dish is attached. The service was friendly, helpful and awesome, especially considering there were only 2 wait people to care for many customers. Even though in some sort of old factory building, the ambience is bright and cheerful. We sat by a window with a view of the Franklin & Marshall athletic field. I HIGHLY recommend Sukhothai if you are wandering the "Pennsylvania Dutch" country and are tired of the traditional local fare. Sukhothai is a few miles from the Route 30 shopping area and you will likely need your GPS unless you really know the area! It is worth finding. *Even though absolutely delicious, I generally avoid anything made with coconut fat because it is high in saturated fats. Occasionally is fine!

One of Lancaster's under-the-radar culinary delights. An unassuming location in a former industrial building, about a few blocks over from the Franklin & Marshall campus. Service is always prompt and friendly. The location is always nicely presented - understated, but classy. Perfect for date nights, business lunches, or a quick bite with a friend. Love the Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles. Flavorful, full of fresh ingredients, and quality cuts of meat (chicken, pork, beef). Consider adding some crunchy rolls as an appetizer and some Thai Iced Tea for refreshment. Portions are on target (not too much or too little), and reasonably priced for the quality.

As a regular, the food never disappoints. The veggies are super fresh & their flavoring is excellent. Depending on your server, their attentiveness to your beverage refill could be better. Definitely recommend!

Summary: All the favorite Thai dishes at decent prices! Their Thai ice tea is on point too. Great service, especially accommodating babies! My party was a group of 6 (4 adults and 2 babies). Our waitress was very accommodating to our families' needs, giving us a larger table, bringing us the high chairs, and bringing extra plates for the babies. Around the table, we ordered Chicken Pad Thai, Beef Drunken Noodles, the Brown curry, and the Chicken Pad Koriath. My Pad Thai was delicious and just how I expected it to be. We also ordered an appetizer of the battered calamari. That was pretty good. The portions were decent, maybe on the smaller side? I'm a 5ft Asian woman, about 110 lbs and I finished my Pad Thai and was satisfied so hopefully that serves as some comparison for you. We also ordered some Thai Ice teas and the Coconut smoothie. These were very good! There's parking both behind and in front of the restaurant, entrances both front and back. We visited on a Tuesday night so it wasn't very busy. I'd recommend them! We had a great time and loved the food.

The food was delicious and the portions hit the spot around lunch time. There wasn't many people when we went in so it was nice and quiet. Our server Nina was amazing, very attentive and on point. Definitely recommend.

I had the opportunity to eat here with the fam last week and I am grateful I got to! We got spring rolls as an appetizer which were delicious, and then I got the pad thai with shrimp as an entree. It was one of the best most flavorful pad thai dishes I've ever had! I was very pleased! The service was fast and our waiter was attentive the whole service. I highly recommend this little place in Lancaster city if you are a fan of Thai food!

Sukhothai has been one of our go-to restaurants for years. I have probably eaten there close to 100 times. The food is consistently delectable. Here are my top 10 favorite dishes (not necessarily in order of preference, since on any given day my 'favorite' varies): 1. Vegetable Stir Fry (with Pork) 2. Panang Curry 3. Sweet Basil Stir Fry 4. Brown Curry 5. Apple Salad 6. Pineapple Stir Fry 7. Tom Yum Soup 8. Yellow Curry 9. Red Curry 10. Fresh Rolls As you might gather, I tend to favor the stir-fries and curries, although they have noodle dishes and other items as well. The food here is always super fresh and the servers are pleasant. When it is busy, it can take a bit of time for your order to be taken, but after it is, the food comes out quickly. Out of all the dozens of meals I have had here, there was only one that I did not think was outstanding, Green Curry. It might have been an off day or maybe just my personal preference. Others I have dined with have ordered it and enjoyed it. I highly recommend Sukhothai.

The food here is amazing! I had a competition and came here to eat three days in a row. The staff is very nice. It is quiet, and there is usually not much noise. I recommend coming here to eat delicious Thai food.

I'm looking forward to trying this place again. My fiancé and I came during restaurant week and were limited to vegetarian choices because of it being a Friday in Lent. The best parts of our meals were the fresh and fried spring rolls and mango-inspired desserts. The vegetables in our stir fry were cooked to just the right amount. Alan was our server and extremely attentive.

They are doing a great job of take out during COVID. They provide sanitized pens to sign your bill. Contactless payment with your card. Then sign & place your pen in the "dirty" bin. We ordered Sweet Basil with chicken, Green Curry with chicken, coconut soup & fresh rolls with shrimp. All were delicious. Food was ready for pick up in 20 min. Plenty of parking in lot. Staff very friendly. Would definitely eat there again when I'm in Lancaster.
