No River, just a house. Had a vision of watching the sunset and eating Asian fusion. Ended up with excellent takeout. Long line. Staff wore masks and worked at cleanliness. Patrons without masks (the vast majority). And without observing basic public health guidelines. Crispy beef wasn't that crispy. And Pad Thai was bland (ordered mild). Reasonably priced. Good quantities. And I did enjoy the food.

I am always on the lookout for places that I haven't been to that have at least one thing on their menu that intrigues me. Through my Yelp searches I discovered River House and noticed that their menu consists of Chinese, Thai and Indonesian. This is the first place that I've discovered in the central Pennsylvania area that offers anything Indonesian on the menu so on my day off from work I took the 37 minute drive to try this place out. The reviews online are good. Part of my trip there took me along the scenic Riverside route and it was nice to enjoy the autumn colors of the trees at this time of year. Upon entry into the restaurant there were two customers who were dining in and I was able to take seat wherever I wanted. Throughout the course of the meal two other customers dined in and several others came in to pick up their takeout orders. This place is pretty remote so it was interesting to find this kind of cuisine in this area. I first ordered the Soto Jakarta soup with a light broth, thinly sliced beef, cabbage, fried onions and the most delicate and thin angel hair noodles I've ever had. The soup was not bold in flavor but it stimulated my appetite. I then had their Singapore Mei Fun noodles and I ordered them extra spicy. Typically I would not order two noodle dishes back to back but I wanted to see what theirs was about. The Mei Fun was really the star of today's lunch. Super flavorful, great amount of heat which I like and the flavor lingered long after I finished eating. There were a couple other items on their menu that I want to try so that only goes to say that I'll have to return another day to get my fix.

From great service, delicious dinner & a nice finish of dessert of shaved ice with ice cream -- definitely enjoyed this restaurant in Wrightsville a little off the beaten path (for me). Definitely will stop here again (even if just for dessert) if in Wrightsville again.

Chinese/asian cuisine restaurant that is a bit off the beaten path but worth dropping by if you are in the York / Columbia PA area. The Hawaiian shaved ice is very good. The ice is not as fine shaved as those you would get from the islands but it is a close imitation with authentic flavors such as passion fruit & tigers blood (not actual tigers blood) with a snow cap (condensed milk topping) and a scoop of ice cream underneath it all. Truely authentic.

Finally had a chance to stop here for lunch. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was great and seasoned well. The dessert was fantastic. Will definitely come again!

Burnt on most side and hard can't even cut into some boneless BBQ ribs

Have been going here now 2 years always order same thing boneless rib combo last 4 or 5 times really not good, thought I would give it another chance and can not even bite into them. Called used to be thin great tasting boneless ribs done giving chances wanted to add a picture of them but it won't let me they are rediculous!

After having lunch, we took a picture in front of the restaurant, together with the owner and staffs there who are so friendly

Me and my group always visit Pennsylvania, and we always try to find Chinese Restaurant because they always serves it quick. But unfortunately, many of them either not clean, or too much noisy and always something make us unhappy at the end.. Yesterday we finally found one restaurant, here, that really awesome. The place is nice and clean, and the food so delicious. We also meet the owner and staffs that greet us very friendly. Definitely I'll recommend people to enjoy the food here, and for sure will come back whenever I'm around. You have to get your fabulous experience there. Try the Bean sprouts Tofu it's so fresh and tasty. Also their House Special Lo mein, you'll gonna come back for that.. Love it !

It was pretty busy on Saturday when we went for dinner but we didn't have to wait too long and our food actually came out pretty fast. The service was as expected because it looked like 1 guy was serving all tables and he was literally running between table to table. I don't blame him for any waiting because he was busting his butt and we didn't really need to wait too long. We ordered a variety of dishes coming here but my favorite has to be the Homestyle Tofu or the Fish Filet. I would like to try more dishes next time. They give you quite a good amount of food for the price. Some places charge the same and give you much less. This place has authentic Chinese food with some common favorites that many of us also know (chicken with broccoli, lo mein, general tso's etc.) so there is something for everyone. There are vegetarian dishes available as well. If you're in the area and would like more savory, authentic Chinese food I recommend coming here!

Surprisingly Yi Pin is open and fully operational on a major federal holiday. The air conditioning is rather weak during our dining experience as I felt warm during the Northeast heat wave oppressive humidity continuous week. Condiments issued at the table were aged dark vinegar, green tea but not Matcha was complimentary served. My party only use aged dark vinegar as a condiment for dumplings. We have a predilection for mellow, malty sweetness of dark vinegar rather than the high salt content in soy sauce. Customer service is attentive and staff is fluent in Mandarin and English. Yi Pin is a Chinese restaurant that serves regional cuisine of Shanghainese and Szechuan province. It is what my party of three refer non-Cantonese, Guangdong province 外省人 ngoi6 saang2 jan4 (noun) outside province; foreign person. Ergo, staff does not speak Cantonese - neither rudimentary level. Price is extortionate high, but expected in 2026 stagflation era. I was able to obtain the sales receipt as keepsake. Asian melon hard candy is distributed with the bill upon meal completion which is industry standard for Asian restaurants and cafes. At the bottom of the sales receipt there is a suggested gratuity in intervals of 18%, 20% and 22% where customers do not have to perform math calculation. There is one large beautiful Japanese beckoning cat, (maneki-neko) which adjacent to the cash register. Business cards are available for grabs. There is a customer parking lot available. Beef noodle soup $15.95 The soup broth bubbles are very visible for the high level of cholesterol and fat content. I believe the cook or kitchen staff used and implemented MSG. This was a big setback leading to disappointment for my three Yelp stars. La mian wheat based noodles were embedded and sufficient. I enjoyed the La mian wheat noodles. Lo Mein chicken $12.95 It was stirred fried and abundant for excessive quantity. I did not consume any - neither one bite. It seemingly appeared very high grease and fat content for excessive oil. Shanghainese soup dumplings 6 pieces, $10.95 Pork steam soup dumplings siu2 lung4 baau1, 小籠包 tasted average, but not exuberant great to awaken my soul for sprightly liveliness. There were very minimal soup liquid inside the dumpling upon biting. I did ponder with hope and wonder during our wait for our food order arrival that these soup dumplings would be bursting with excessive soup liquid and flavor. It was not served piping hot as I am accustomed in NYC Shanghainese restaurant industry standards. These dumplings prepared by the cook(s) or kitchen staff at Yi Pin are egregiously appalling and insult to New York Chinese. I refused to apologize for being a native New Yorker. The dumpling skin tip where placing the serving tongs also tasted hard. Also another reason for my three Yelp stars.

They have had second and third chances from me when I know that it's likely going to be a letdown. In the past, they've gotten my order wrong and rather than offer to remake it, they argue with me that I ordered something different. Honestly, by phone there is often a communication issue which accounts for this. So I switched to ordering online. The food is ok. It's better than the worst Chinese restaurant in town, Grand China, which doesn't make the food better. It just means that they're better than the worst. If adequate is your thing, this might be the place for you. They've managed to make the location as unattractive in which to eat which, I suppose, cuts down on the need to clean it as often. My latest experience was ordering by phone because I was in a rush. I was told my order would be ready in 10-15 minutes which was perfect as I was rushing to catch a train. I stopped in 22 minutes later and was told that my order wasn't ready. In fact, it hadn't been started. As I didn't have time to wait for it I told them I couldn't wait and left. So the nicest thing I can say is that it's better than the worst restaurant in Columbia. Beyond that, it's a great place for people with really low expectations! But if you want a better experience and better food, maybe drive to Chen's in Marietta or, if you want the best Chinese food in the area, cross the bridge and make the drive to River House.

We ordered at the counter and our food came out to the table quickly. DH's hot and sour soup was a large bowl (plastic take out container) and it was chock full of vegetables and tofu. He loved it. My wonton soup was good and had 2 wonton but no roast pork. I missed that. Each came with a baggie of very good crispy fried noodles. I ordered roast pork with vegetables. It was good and plentiful and came with a large portion of fried rice. The veggies were fresh and tasty. I thought it needed more sauce but it was good. DH ordered sweet and sour chicken. It was the star of the meal. Fresh , tender white meat chicken pieces fried to perfection in a very tasty batter. They came with a delicious sweet and sour sauce served in a separate container. Lots of fried rice with the chicken. Only criticism is that the sauce was not warm. We decided to take home another dish to go with our leftovers. We got boneless ribs, one of my favorites. It was very good with a very generous portion of rice and pork in a sweet sauce. The meat was tender but I'd have liked more sauce. We bought the lunch specials and with the specials you can get soup for an additional modest charge. The prices are right. The hot and sour soup and sweet and sour chicken were solid 5s. The roast pork, vegetables and wonton were a 3.5. The boneless ribs were a solid 4. So I averaged all to 4 stars. I think I'd take home rather than eat there. The lady who cooked and served was very nice. I'd go again next time I'm in that end of town.

I told her no repeatedly, we just wanted our money back, we received old food. (Not willing to give the restaurant another chance for obvious reasons.) She refused the refund. We told her to smell the food because just by smelling it was obvious the food was bad. Our sweet and sour sauce had a fermented taste and smell. The rice was old and dry. The BBQ pork was overcooked and chewy, like old gum. The only thing that was RIGHT with our order was the 2-liter Pepsi we got prepackaged.
