    Pad Thai

We ordered pineapple fried rice with beef and pad thai with chicken. Both dishes tasted just okay -- the beef and chicken were tough and seemed overcooked. The portions were generous, and the restaurant itself was spacious, but overall the food and experience felt pretty average. On a positive note, the staff service was friendly and fast. The plaza has plenty of parking, though the spaces are quite compact.

Thee best panang curry in Sac! My new brow bar is next to Thai Spoon which was already on my Yelp "to try" list. Boy did I score big! Panang curry (with chicken) is my absolute favorite Thai curry and I have to admit, we are fortunate in Sacramento to have some really good Panang curry options. But Thai Spoon is best in class. The first time I tried it, it was an instant love affair. Tiffany, the lovely, sweet hostess must never take a day off, as she's always working when I stop in (with a smile, I might add). Chef Mu, God bless you and thank you for always customizing my curry. I don't like carrots and order Panang with bell peppers, broccoli, green beans and eggplant. Taste, texture and temperature are my three gold seals...Thai Spoon nails all three each time. My last trip hubby was in town and he is not a curry person. I asked him just to taste it and Mr. rarely raves about anything couldn't stop saying how good the panang curry was. Hubby ordered Thai chow mein with beef, we shared the calamari appetizer, and I ordered the spicy basil fried rice (another must order every time favorite). I'm going to try the panang with tofu on my next visit. Thank you Tiffany and Chef Mu!

I came in here for the first time craving my peoples food, and i thought it would be a good idea to try this spot since it had 4 stars. The service was quick and friendly ... but the food... PSA THIS REVIEW is for the real thai and lao food junkies!!!! My palette is so picky because i like flavorful food, since i grew up eating real authentic thai and lao dishes. I ordered a spring roll and chicken drunken noodle with no bell pepper no bean sprout and no bamboo (still had plenty of veggies). I requested my food be spicy, LIKE SPICY! Man did they deliver, BUT.. their dish is what we call "ped lah lah" or just spicy with no flavor. I couldn't eat anymore because i couldn't taste anything but spice . It had no flavor to the food. Now i cant base my assumptions off of one visit, but us southeast asians like flavor and i know when there isn't flavor if the fat noodle is still white all around or stuck together. I asked for more stir fry sauce and took my food to go stating that i couldn't taste much flavor. they kindly gave me a container of their stir fry sauce. When i came home and stir fried with their sauce (and a dash of sugar to keep it from being salty) it was DELICIOUS. That changed my 3 stars rating to a 4 (with added steps). If you are picky about your Asian food id be cautious as natomas prices might leave you disappointed because the dishes cater to a more Americanized palette. Its a beautiful place, and the food was not horrible at all. Once again just picky. Id come again to try the boat noodle'

An unassuming Thai restaurant that serves delicious food. I cannot stress how good their drunken noodles and fried tofu are. Would also highly recommend their coconut ice cream that is so rich in flavor. Their fried bananas though are on the more expensive side and we didn't like the way they were fried. Their Tom Kha soup is well worth it and a small one is enough to satisfy 3 people. Their Pad Thai is a little on the sweeter side and watch out for spice. While all "spicy" items are marked with a double asterisk, there are varying levels, so make sure to ask before ordering, especially their Som Tum salad. The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, providing lots of information. The restaurant layout is perfect for larger groups (6+). Food is prepared rapidly and since it's in a mall, there's plenty of parking.

Came here for a quick stop and enjoyed the experience! They weren't crowded at all on a Thursday afternoon when we got in. Good: - I got a khao soi dish and also a tom kha soup - I liked the tom kha more since the Khao soi had a weird after taste - Papaya salad was good and sweet and savory - The portion sizes were large - Prices were very reasonable for lunch and the amount of food we got Bad: - The place was a little cramped and the seats weren't super fancy - The place took a while to get food out - Very casual place Overall nice for a road trip but wouldn't come back.

8/23/24. 3/5* $15.95+ Drunken Noodle (chicken). Flavorful. WARNING: we chose medium spicy and tasted extra spicy! We were sweatin balls!!!

Hubby ordered on their website. It took about 15 minutes to get there. He left immediately after he ordered cause he wanted to make sure we receive the food right when it's freshly cooked. Awesome that the food was made to order! 3/5 stars. $15.95+ Drunken Noodles (chose chicken): wide rice noodle stir fried with choice of meat, egg, onion, basil, bamboo, bell pepper, bean sprout in fresh chili garlic sauce. - it did say spicy on their website but when you order it, it let's you pick the spicy level. We chose medium. OHHHHHHHH BOYYYYYYYY THEY DO NOT PLAY WHEN IT COMES TO THEIR SPICY LEVEL. I love spicy foods but this was not medium, it seemed like extra spicy cause hubby and I were sweating balls!!!!!!!! Trussst fam.. we had the AC on in the house lol. Good thing bout it is, the authentic flavors are there. Not sure if they didn't see that we chose medium spicy but next time, I'll be sure to call it in and ask for mild. I wanted to eat more but because it was spicy enough that my tongue and stomach started to burn that I only had like a few bites. 3/5 stars. $9.95+ Tom Yum Soup (chose chicken) : choice of chicken or shrimp with vegetables, lemongrass in hot and sour soup. - same opinion as the drunken noodles!!! 3/5 stars. $15.95+ Pad Thai (chose chicken): rice stick noodle stir fried with choice of meat, egg, tofu, bean sprout, green onion, in Pad Thai sauce, topped with ground peanut. - Thank God this was not spicy! Lol. LOVE THE AUTHENTIC FLAVOR. Would have it less sweet and lemon-y. Would ask for more green onions, bean sprouts and grounded peanuts. Over all, I think they rushed our order. THEY SHOULD HAVE TASTED IT TO MAKE SURE THE FLAVORS AND SPICY LEVELS WERE RIGHT. Idk?! It was off. Will try again cause I really don't wana drive all the way to Citrus Heights just to get the perfect authentic thai food. Happy eat's ya'll!

It's been about 10 years since I first posted my review. This is still my favorite Thai spot in the Sacramento area. The food is amazing!

This place bomb! Live their fried calamari and mango sweet rice. Price not bad. Parking spots are tight but just eat and leave lol Good location though. I come here a lot

The fried rice was delicious, husband asked if they can add a bit more garlic and they charged us an extra $2 for the sprinkled garlic you see on top of the fried rice. The salad was good but not enough salad and too much red onions. The pad cha with chicken had an unusual fragrant that I wasn't able to get over. Not sure what it was.

I've never had Thai food and this place was recommended to me so today I paid them a visit for lunch. The ambiance was decent, clean and quaint but the customer service was superb and welcoming. For appetizers, I tried the Thai dumplings and they were delicious. I kept it simple for my meal, and ordered Thai shrimp fried rice. (I was too hungry and scared to try anything too foreign to taste buds.) The portions were large and I needed a to go bag. To drink I tried the Thai tea but I wasn't a fan of it. My first experience at a Thai restaurant wasn't bad, I'd definitely return again.

    Drunken Noodle
    Hope Y.

Got the drunken noodles with pork. Lots of veggies and pretty good flavor but some of the noodles were stuck together and not as flavorful. Not very spicy. They seated us right away and the food came out pretty quickly. Pretty quiet place with booth tables.

Food was delicious and everything was flavored well - love the sauce pairings. Originally I thought the root was more like veggie tempura but is actually more of a fritter with a sauce. Very crispy. The Hai Yai Fried Chicken has a nice crispy outer skin, cuts really well - meat melts away from the bones, and the fat portion taste really good. The main con I want to call out here is based off how it cuts I thought the chicken meat inside would be very juicy - but is actually kind of dry. So docking points for the inside chicken meat portion. Really love the pandan sago coconut ice cream tho.
