We tried Thai Princess for the first time while looking for Thai food in the area, and it was an excellent experience! The boat noodles were packed with authentic Thai flavors and tasted just like what you'd find in Thailand. The crab fried rice topped with a Thai-style crab omelet was a fantastic idea--crispy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The service was warm and friendly, and we were lucky enough to have the opportunity to personally thank the chef for preparing such a wonderful lunch for our family vacation. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and made with care. We highly recommend Thai Princess and will definitely return when we're in the area again!

Stopped by for lunch during a busy day and was impressed; food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. The spice level didn't hold back, which I really appreciated. If you're nearby and craving authentic Thai flavors, I highly recommend this spot!

Boat noodles were okay, not the best I had, however, pad Thai noodles was delicious. The server/hostess was very friendly and kind. She provided great service.

Last night I ordered Thai Princess on DoorDash. The pad see ew was so gross, I had to throw it away - bland, tastes like nothing, old noodles, vegetables super crunchy and raw. The mango with sticky rice was like warm, floating in a pool of liquid, and the rice was green? Will not ordering from here again!

We ordered the pad thai, drunken noodles, and pineapple fried rice and everything was delicious! This is one of our regular go-to restaurants on DoorDash and it never disappoints. We always order to go, but the food is so good that we definitely need to come in person next time. Every dish is full of flavor, always hot, and perfectly cooked. Highly recommend this place if you're craving great Thai food in Natomas!

Went in for lunch, good thing my group and I went early as it got busier but food seemed to have come out fast. Appetizers were ok but the entrees were worth the price and was very large. Restaurant was very clean and comfortable.

Thai Green Curry

My favorite item is the Thai Green Curry with rice. It comes with eggplant, bell pepper, and bamboo shoots in green curry sauce; it's delicious! I added chicken as my protein. Yummy! There are plenty of other good items on the menu. I ordered this one to go for lunch. This restaurant is located in the Natomas Market West shopping center off Arena, where Bel Air is also located. Parking is easy to find. It's an easy walk from our home, so we love the convenience.

Food is always amazing, tasty and gluten free options galore! Ambiance is always chill and casual and waitress is friendly and helpful. Cool place for quiet dinner and catching up.

Bomb!! Highly recommended! Saw this place on TikTok and my love for bbq bought me all the way from Auburn. Worth the price, the drive and the whole crew were very knowledgeable and professional yet down home.

Great service, staff is always friendly each time I've been in. Good quality ingredients and very good portion sizes for the price. Small menu, but just about everything on it is a hit!

Place was packed during lunch because of the farmer's market on Saturday. We got the Hat Yai fried chicken, green curry, crab fried rice, beef satay, thai tea and Piak Sakoo (Sago Pudding w/ Young Coconut) The hat yai fried chicken is a must! It was so crispy and flavorful, especially with the sauce. The crab fried rice was also so good and paired nicely with everything. The green curry has a lot of vegetables and is a nice change from the regular red curry I usually get. The thai tea is just right, not too sweet. The most disappointing thing is the beef satay. I wanted to switch it up from the regular chicken satay but the beef satay was overcooked and chewy. It was quite inedible so that's the only thing I probably wouldn't get. The pandan sago was also so good. The sago being warm paired nicely with the coconut ice cream. Overall, I'm looking forward to going back to try new things.

The chicken satay was tender and flavorful, while the eggplant salad brought a nice mix of fresh, savory flavors. The chive appetizer cakes were another favorite and a great appetizer to share with the table. I also liked having several smaller dishes to try rather than sticking to just one thing. It's a great option if you're dining with family or friends and everyone wants to sample a little bit of everything. Rex Tip: If you're visiting on a Saturday, just an FYI, the farmers market runs right in front of the restaurant. Expect some nearby street closures, bigger crowds, and a little extra time getting around or finding parking. 5 ROARS from Focusaurus Rex

Zero out of ten. Genuinely the worst Pad Thai I've ever had…read more When ordering, I was given three spice options: no spice, medium, or very spicy. I asked if they could do something mild, but was told they don't offer that. I'm Indian and normally handle spice very well, so I was worried that "no spice" would be completely bland. I went with their lowest actual spice option: medium. Huge mistake. The first bite genuinely scared me. It tasted like someone had dumped an entire packet of chili directly into my mouth. My eyes immediately started watering, my mouth was on fire, and eating it was extremely uncomfortable. This wasn't a matter of me being sensitive to spice, the "medium" was insanely spicy. My friend, who is also South Asian and accustomed to spicy food, couldn't finish hers either. I politely told our waitress that the medium Pad Thai was far too spicy for me to eat. Her solution was to offer me sugar to pour over it. That sounded awful, so I declined. At that point I literally went on ChatGPT to figure out how I could salvage my meal. It suggested peanut sauce as one option to help tone down the heat, which sounded much more reasonable. I asked the waitress for some peanut sauce and was told I could have it for an additional charge. Considering I was only asking for it because their "medium" Pad Thai was practically inedible, I found that pretty disappointing. But I wanted to actually eat the food I had paid for, so I agreed. The peanut sauce helped slightly, but I basically had to eat a spoonful of peanut sauce with every single bite just to tolerate the Pad Thai. At that point, I wasn't enjoying dinner. The restaurant itself also felt very dirty. The floors looked like they desperately needed to be mopped, which made the overall experience even less appealing. Between the inedible food, the lack of any meaningful attempt to fix the problem, being charged extra for something I needed just to make the meal tolerable, and the cleanliness of the restaurant, I seriously considered leaving no tip. I ultimately did leave one, albeit reluctantly. Zero out of ten experience. I will absolutely never come back.

I asked for medium spice, which was pretty spicy and had a kick to it. I would probably get mild spice next time to let the rest of the flavors shine through. The pad Thai had the perfect balance of sweet and savory. Usually pad thai is too sweet for me, but I enjoyed this dish a lot. Service was a little slow since there was only one worker handling to-go orders and the rest of the tables, but the food made up for it. The interior is cozy with bar seating and booths. The dim lighting and jazz music added a relaxing and intimate touch too. So glad we found this place!!

That it is customary in Sacramento. Ok then, what about to those that are elders or disabled who can't bring the plates? I was lucky I had few of my fam to help but there's no warmth to this owner. No one even checked on us at all! We would have left but we had to pay upfront before we found out we had to be the waitress. Food wasn't even worth it (papaya was bland, pad Thai was average). Update: owner replied to this post. Everything that she stated wasn't true at all. I asked why we have to bring all the stuff in and she insisted that it's customary in Sacramento-- she did NOT asked us at all or did we asked, the owner said it immediately when we got seated that we HAD to bring it in. Yes I was upset AFTER we were told to bring the plates and everything in; we just came back from a vacation so we were in a good mood). Please don't make it seem that you were innocent as you also keep mentioning that is how things are in Sacramento and asked where I was even from. Also, we would've been more understanding if we didn't give us an attitude from the start and told us to get our own plate and bring it back in. A word of advice: please hire more staff since that would give some politeness to ALL customers. If you were so busy, how would you even have the time to explain why you wanted us to do waitress work. Please, you straight up and said we have to pick up our our plate of foods WITHOUT any of the understaff part. Again, owner keep trying to make a costumer experience in the wrong since honest review will hurt her business. Never in my Yelp reviews owner is so against a bad review --this just verifies how the owner is very defensive and keeps justifying without taking accountability of what actually happened (like how we even know she was working alone since we're outside). Also, please don't make any assumptions, they're not my husband or daughter (we never mentioned this and how inaccurate the owner perspective is). Further customers, please be aware when you leave bad reviews, expect the owner to persist that you're in the wrong (like she did with other previous bad reviews).

I'm not sure if management or chef has changed but their food is not what I remembered from years ago. We initially ordered their tofu pad thai and gai yang and immediately noticed how pricey their menu was. They have a wall of specials and I remember being shocked that their orange chicken was $24. I didn't mind paying more than what I was used to for my pad thai because I remembered their food was delicious but I was shocked when my pad thai came out. It was literally drowned in sauce and looked like it was a bowl of noodle soup. I was still optimistic hoping that it tasted better than it looked but it just tasted like sweet rice noodle soup. I was hesitant to bring it up to the waitress after two bites but so glad I did because I would have hated myself if I left without saying anything. The waitress was kind and offered to remake the dish. Instead, I opted for something else because I was afraid to be disappointed again. I ordered their tofu drunken noodles since I've gotten it here before and remember it being tasty. I confirmed that the drunken noodle was going to be a dry noodle dish and thankfully it was. It was good but not the best I've ever had. My boyfriend had their gai yang which is a marinated grilled chicken dish. He said it was pretty dry without the sauce on the side but the sweet chili sauce provided was pretty tasty. It's probably not worth $26 given the how dry the chicken was and he said he would never order it again. Overall, the customer service was great and portions were good. I had to deduct 3 stars from my previous review as the food quality has significantly gone down in my experience and doesn't justify the high menu prices in my opinion.

There's a reason this original spot stuck around for so long.. consistent, delicious, and open late night! #25 Bamee Bphet Yang 5/5* Duck Egg Noodle Soup is why I come here! Thai Canteen is the ONLY Thai spot that makes this duck noodle soup. Noodles are so plump and springy like the texture of freshly made ramen noodles. The broth is intense in flavor, amped up by the honey roasted duck and has this slightly salty, sweet umami taste. If it weren't for the "No MSG" red letters stamped on the menu board, I would've thought this soup had some MSG. The flavor is THAT delicious where you can't really pinpoint where it's coming from. #24 Gkuay Dtlow Reur (Boat Noodles) 3/5* The thin pho Noodles were fresh and cooked perfectly al dente, but the soup itself was lacking that beefy richness. The broth was watered down and bland. #26 Pad Thai Noodles with Tofu 5/5* Good portion size that is shareable for two. The soft tofu is plump and soaked up the pad thai sauce well. There's just enough sauce without the dish being overly saucy. The flavor is richer and less sticky sweet than other Thai places, making this more savory with a just slight hint of tamarind sweetness. Happy Hour Eggs Over Rice 1/5* This popped up on the Happy Hour menu one time and it is exactly what the name says. Just an egg omlette over a mound of white rice. The egg was overcooked, dry, and lacked any flavor. Even at HH prices, this is a hard pass. The location and hours are so convenient smack in the middle of downtown. You order at the counter, choose any seat, and the food comes out fast. Water is self service. This makes for a good lunch spot if you're short on time but want a good cooked meal.
