Complimentary Shrimp chips
Debra S.

Very good! We were in Athens having dinner with our son. We didn't think about it being move in weekend for the college so there was a long wait but our son said it's not usually like that. He gets pick up and eats at the restaurant about once a week. We got the pad. There is seating at the bar as well as table seating.

Chicken Pad Thai
Koraya H.

My chicken pad thai was fresh and delicious. I love pad thai and I eat it frequently so I am very particular about this dish. It was more on the spicier and well seasoned side instead of being too sweet which I loved. My one complaint was the price, my meal was $17.34 which is more on the pricey side for pad thai. I usually pay $14 so this was a significant increase for me. Although, the portion was large and I made this meal last for 2 days which is AMAZING as a college student. I called in my order and it was done exactly when they told me it would be done. The service was quick and efficient and the hostess at the front was kind and accommodating.

Thai Spoon has great Thai food! I tried the Pad See Ew, Roasted Duck in Tamarind Sauce, and Massaman Curry. The Pad See Ew was excellent; the noodles were saucy, but the beef I added was overcooked, and I wish it had been spicier. The Roasted Duck was very crispy, but I wasn't a fan of the sauce--it was too much like sweet and sour for my taste. The Massaman Curry was really good, and I definitely want to go back and try more of their curries. However, I don't recommend the Thai tea; it was way too sweet, and I regret buying it. The prices are fair, and the portions are huge, so it's hard to finish, but I'll definitely be coming back. Although the food was great, I do have to mention that the tables are way too close to other people, which made the dining experience feel a bit cramped. Also, the restroom was not the cleanest, which was a bit disappointing.

Pad See Ewe

What wonderful soup! I absolutely loved it! The spring rolls were a little bit greasy so I wouldn't recommend getting more than one but they were delicious. The pad see ewe was amazing, I loved the way the carrots were sliced! I also love the overall ambiance of the restaurant!

Mango SWEET STICKY RICE

LOVE this place. Great food and the mango sticky rice is amazing when it's in season. Haven't tried something I didn't like here.

This is a very popular place for a weekend non-football night. The staff was very friendly and sat us right away. Our table had some soy issues (I know, not the food to eat with those restrictions) but they were soooo accommodating and made great recommendations that we would not ever considered. In general, I love Drunken Noodles. Their Spicy Noodle w/ chicken is their version of Drunken Noodles and they didn't disappoint. The spice level was a 3 out of 5 so it had a kick but not too hot. Good amount of food and lots of veggies and chicken to compliment the noodles. Veggie Spring Rolls and the Fresh Basil Roll are worth it if you are hungry.

Fried corn patties with a plum sauce

The restaurant was clean and had a comfortable vibe. The service was quick and the lunch combo proved to be more than enough food. The black tea was standard but was nice for the colder weather outside. The Tom yum soup was delicious and had a more tart taste. Next time I would probably request it to be spicier. The egg roll was standard but added nice change of texture to the meal. The corn patties were delicious and paired very well with the plum sauce. I had never seen this on a typical thai menu so it was nice to try something new. The ma mussamun curry was in the sweeter side and only had chicken with no vegetables. I had also never seen avocado accompanied with the curry. In my opinion it didn't pair well with the meal and kind of threw off the flavor for me. I would definitely come back and probably try something other than the curry.

Tom Kha Coconut Soup

We've eaten here twice and feel this is better Thai food than our old favorite Thai place in Watkinsville. The Avocado Basil Rolls are wonderful. The Tom Kha Soup is Devine. The Spicy Thai Noodles are the best in Athens. We could take off a point for only serving conventional tofu instead of the preferable organic tofu, but we'll go with the full 5 stars as everything was so damn tasty. The staff was helpful and friendly. I recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly.

Curry

Very delicious food with great staff and environment! Food came out quick and I forgot to take a photo of the seasonal mango sticky rice they had. I ordered the Tamarind duck and my friend ordered the Curry with a side of rice. Servings are bigger than other places in Athens. We will be back!

Seafood chips

Food was delicious and service was very good! We enjoyed Thai tea, coconut chicken soup, spring rolls, and chicken pad Thai. The soup and the pad Thai are so flavorful. They bring seafood chips to the table and they are yummy! We will definitely be back.

Delicious. It's a more basic dish, but the fried rice there is incomparable to anywhere else. It's packed with flavor and is a big portion.

Marker 7 Coastal Grill - Athens, GA…read more Marker 7 Coastal Grill was so good, I went back twice during a three-day stay. I had the Ahi Tuna Bruschetta and the Black Bean Bowl with Salmon both times -- both dishes were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The staff was top notch. My husband, a professional chef, really enjoyed the Fried Shrimp and Mac and Cheese. Everything we tried was delicious, and the laid-back atmosphere made it even better. We will definitely be back next time we are in Athens!

This place was an…read moreabsolute disaster from start to finish, and I want to save other people from wasting their time the way we did. We were told 45 minutes. Fine. We were patient. But that "45 minutes" turned into well over an hour, and the part that really blew my mind? A group that arrived THIRTY minutes after us was seated before us. Not because of a mix‑up. Not because of a misunderstanding. The host looked right at us, ignored us, and kept seating people who walked in long after we did. It was blatant and honestly insulting. Meanwhile, the manager, the person who should be running the floor, checking on guests, and making sure the host isn't playing favorites, was literally in the back doing dishes. Not managing. Not helping. Not even acknowledging the chaos happening out front. The entire front‑of‑house was a mess, and no one seemed to care. After being ignored multiple times and watching them seat people ahead of us, we finally hit our breaking point. We were a party of seven, ready to spend good money, and we took our business elsewhere. And honestly? Best decision we made all night. Marker 7 wasted our time, disrespected us, and made it painfully clear that customer service is not a priority there. Athens has too many great restaurants to put up with this kind of treatment. Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else.

This place is a gem!…read more Was looking for a nice place for fish this evening and came across Chuck's Fish. Didn't know anything about it - but the menu posted on Yelp looked promising. It was the right choice! Started with the Kimchi Brussel Sprouts. All I can say is Wow! They were amazing - crunchy, sweet, savory, and BACON! A real treat! For entrees, we couldn't decide on the Parmesan Crusted Grouper or the Grouper Picante - so we ordered both. Parmesan crusted grouper came with asparagus and grits while the Picante grouper came with a potato cake, micro greens, and asparagus. Both were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. We both thought that the picante grouper was just slightly better on flavor - but both are winners. These were market price fish - which each costing about $42-44. Service was amazing. Our servers (Julio and his trainee) were terrific and were patient and answered all of our questions. Overall - this is a definite recommendation if you are looking for seafood in Athens. Fish is fresh, sourced from Destin, FL and the sushi looked amazing (we didn't have it but other tables did). So - give it a try. Only negative is some sort of automatic 3% "operational fee" that they add to the bill. Kind of ridiculous. Please stop it. Enjoy!

Friendly professional service, our server was very nice and helpful. She went out of her way to make sure we had a nice dining experience. Great food options, with a lowcountry inspiration. The menu is lowcountry focused and the food is executed beautifully. We started with a dozen of the local oysters, they were fresh, sweet and delicious, a solid start. After giving the menu a good perusal, my dinner companion went for the evenings special. The evening special was, shrimp and crab ravioli. This is a generous portion of nicely prepared ravioli's filled with a sweet succulent crab and then whole shrimp in a rich cream sauce. Presented simple and clean, she said it was delicious, and my sampling of it was just that. Pan seared red fish over etufee was my choice, again a very good meal. A nice serving of perfectly cooked Red fish mixed over a generous portion of etufee. Spicy, succulent, full flavored. It was a really solid selection and very good. A couple sides to go with our entrees, the mashed potato and brocolli, both were done well, simple and tasted good as you would expect. The biscuits, oh those biscuits. The biscuits were a great addition. All in all a solid dining experience and well worth the effort, good lowcountry food done well. As well reservations are recommended especially on the weekends. 4 Stars - recommended 01075
