I'm surprised this is rated 3 stars. This place was so delicious! Everything I've ordered was so flavorful !

Yeah.... This place is for sure only getting 3 stars at the most.. I will say that the service was quite good, we were seated right away and brought water which is always a good sign. The flavor of the Tom Yum was excellent as well as the green curry, both great dishes. The calamari we ordered was so bad that it was inedible. Spongy cardboard fried in batter, we sent it back immediately and they honored this request which was nice. It was one of the worst dishes I've had in a long time, so that dish brought the score from a 4 down to 3.. overall - stick to the main dishes here, don't go trying random side dishes because you might regret it like we did

Got soup and salad before getting all the main dishes which was nice. Servers were very friendly and brought the food out fairly quick. Wasn't a big fan of the green curry but liked the noodle dishes the best!

I was in the neighborhood today and wanted to try out this Thai place since they serve lunch specials. I ordered the green curry and bamboo with pork and a side salad to-go. I was kind of bummed that they didn't give me the soup that it comes with. :/ However, the curry was good!

Delicious Thai food and great portions. We went here for dinner since we were nearby in Downtown Los Gatos. Lots of free street parking (2 hour limit until 6pm). They have an extensive menu but we stuck with the Thai classics because why not. Each of our meals costs $15 for entree for the chicken protein which is very reasonable in today's economy, and the downtown Los Gatos location. Portions were great as I devoured my pad Thai and was really full afterwards. Service was great as they checked in with us. The experience was very similar to their other Willow Glen location, so not much difference there. We were able to walk in and get seated immediately so glad we did not have to wait.

THE FOOD IS SO GOOD I got 2 pad Thais & green chicken curry, it came out to 71$ 0_0 I think there's way to order the lunch special which would make it less but it's okay it was still good

Thai Spice is a smaller restaurant with fair decor and dim lighting. The food was good, but the service was hard to excuse. There weren't many customers on the weeknight apart from 3 tables, but the waitress seemed to purposefully leave us waiting at the door despite being a party of 2. After we were sat, it took 15 minutes to begin ordering or even get water. Meanwhile, the waitress liberally topped off other tables and serviced them multiple times. 30 minutes before closing, a staff member informed the only other table in the restaurant apart from ours that they would be closing the kitchen, and that it would be the last call for any desserts. He took the time to explain dessert favorites but didn't so much as glance toward my table's direction despite the restaurant being empty at that point. I won't say the staff were intentionally rude but I felt like a low priority as a customer when the business was far from busy.

I lived in Los Gatos and Thai Spice was my go-to Thai take-out restaurant. I've tried the other Thai restaurants in the area, and this place has the most standard menu that you'd expect from a Thai restaurant. The prices are decent for Los Gatos as well. Don't expect a fancy ambiance like some of the other restaurants on Santa Cruz Blvd. This place is solid!

Stopped by for a work lunch and they were able to accommodate a large party (with reservation). There's no parking lot though, so you'll have to park on the street nearby and walk over. Inside the restaurant is fairly small. We each ordered an entree, plus some chicken skewers and calamari to share. Chicken skewers were meh, chicken was kind of dry. Someone ordered a tom yum soup which was actually a large portion and great for sharing. The pad see ew was decent though nothing too special, not super flavorful, but a very large portion size. There's plenty of lunch specials that are a great value, but none of the dishes stood out to me. All in all, it was a decent Thai restaurant but not my first pick if I were craving Thai food.

Everything she did was friendly, kind and courteous. All the staff members including the owner wished us happy Mother's Day repeatedly. The owner also gave us a small gift pouch with a set of Thai coasters, a chocolate and a complementary drink card as an appreciation for us making the reservation early. Coupe De Thai is also not a boring Thai food restaurant; their menu has some tasty and interesting dishes. I was blown away by their White Lotus Curry that was a piece of crispy skin branzino fish lay on a bed of white creamy sauce that tasted very coconutty and yet not spicy at all. The round lotus seeds under the fish was de-cored to remove the bitterness. Very interesting and pleasant! I almost licked the plate clean to take in every drop of the sauce. Their Mother's Day special was a surf and turf pad Thai which was also beautifully presented and very delicious. There are 3 large shrimps and slices of medium rare beef steak on top of a bed of pad thai with tofu and ground peanuts. I love all elements of the dish and the sauce, sweet and slightly tangy and spicy was so soul gripping. The Clay Pot Crab Rice was another kid-friendly dish. It tasted light with lots of crab meat and white rice. The amount was sumptuous. We got here early and had the pleasure of enjoying its unique Thai style decoration without much crowd disturbance. The wall fish net decoration was a good topic for us. Their wine bar was beautifully lit and a nice background for pictures. Tully was also very smart to suggest us to take the picture before the crowd pours in. I ordered a zero proof Sawasdee Sunshine, which was ok but it was beautifully decorated. All in all, a flawless practice for us to enjoy a Mother's Day. Super happy that we picked this place and strongly recommend it. They pour their heart into the restaurant.

The dragon balls was quite flavorful, citrusy, and not spicy at all. The sesame chicken was juicy with a good crispiness to it. It was a bit too sweet though. The pad thai had chewy soft noodles but the shrimp was a bit dry. The service here is great and attentive. I love that they offer happy hour! Would come back if i'm in the area :)

The drunken noodles and fried rice are always packed with flavor, and the fresh spring rolls are such a refreshing starter. Maybe they toned it down a bit... or maybe we were braver last time We also ordered the Khao Soi, which was pretty decent. Fewer sides compared to some other places, but still really tasty overall. All of the food was absolutely delicious but we felt like the portions were a little small for the price. I had just been to a new-to-me one that had micro chicken bits coated in mega thick batter, and I was still smarting from that experience. But I overcame my fear of a repeat experience and ordered the Orange Chicken lunch special. What a difference! This place is really really good! You can see the included chicken salad is put together with care and multiple ingredients: shredded chicken, fried won ton skin, almonds, nice dressing. Impressed. My chicken came and big pieces! You bite into one and it's substantial white breast meat - wow, nice! I'm just too used to biting into battered chicken or pork and feeling like other places used junk bits hiding within the batter and sauce. But Taba Taba uses quality meat and a more sophisticated orange peel sauce. You can see/find the dried orange peel within the sauce which gives it a more complex flavor. I really liked it. The chow mein was good too - not oily at all. The service was friendly and great too. The woman who served us was friendly and really really attentive to all tables, looking around to see what was needed, making sure everyone was doing OK, whether water needed to be refilled, picking up the check as soon as the credit card was put down on the check. A real care factor above and beyond what you normally find. She chatted with my wife too for a bit on our way out - friendly and warm. I usually don't make a point of saying, "The food is really good here", but I felt compelled to. I know that Chinese food restaurants, the vast majority, do cater to American tastes, so the food isn't strictly "authentic" - just a reality of who the audience is. But even so, this was done at an elevated level that satisfies the American taste, while adding some richness/subtlety to the flavors that makes it better than your typical Chinese restaurant. I'd be very happy to come here again. I talked a lot about the food and service, but the decor was also nice - pretty typical, nothing outstanding in this regard, but the food and service are so much more important to me anyway, and those were definitely strong points of Taba Taba.

We felt lucky to find an empty spot in their parking lot, which was shared with Willow Street Pizza. The restaurant wasn't too busy. Typical Chinese restaurant ambience but with dimmed lights. It was more catered for non-Chinese customers, with forks on the table. No problem asking for chopsticks, as expected. Service was prompt and friendly. I ordered Lunch Combo A: Honey Walnut Prawns with Chow Mein. The hot & sour soup included with the lunch was delicious and not too spicy. It's perfect after adding some white pepper. The chicken salad was fresh, crunchy, and delightful. It's a much better and healthier alternative to spring rolls usually included in lunch specials at other Chinese restaurants. The chow mein was not oily nor salty at all, and had quite a bit of vegetables. It paired really well with the honey walnut prawns, which was prepared really well. There're 8 large, flavorful and juicy prawns, and a handful of candied walnuts. My husband enjoyed his orange chicken lunch combo as well. I tried a piece of his chicken, and it was scrumptious, with a light batter and yummy sauce. We ended our meal with the classic fortune cookies. I was surprised by how well executed and tasty the food was. Comparing to the lunch specials at Tsing Tao, which we tried recently, we both preferred the ones at Taba Taba. They do charge $1 per person for hot tea at Taba Taba, though.
