I've heard great things about Thai Spice for years, but somehow never made it in until now. Wow! What a gem. The food is great, portions are massive. (Pro tip: box up half before you even start, don't even try it.) Service was excellent, and they were very understanding of my food allergies and accommodating to my lack of exposure to Thai food and not knowing what to order. The parking lot is small, and there is a little strip mall behind it that will have open spaces in the evenings when a lot of businesses are closed, but you may have to park a good bit away from the restaurant, so plan accordingly. The service here is the BEST! Everyone is friendly, attentive and the food comes out quickly. This is a well run ship! I tried shrimp Rangoon for the first time and I enjoyed it. They look like little mini corn dogs. I personally prefer the regular crab Rangoon, but it was fun to try something new. I couldn't decide on food so I ended up getting the appetizer sampler. The chicken with the peanut sauce was great and the spring rolls were wonderful! The chicken wings were just okay. I wouldn't order those again. They had to raise their prices here, like most other restaurants, so it was pretty expensive. I ordered a Thai tea and it was almost $6! I know it's out of their control. Met my best girlfriend here for lunch today. Got the drunken noodles with soup/spring roll. Lunchtime arrives at a reduced price. There was enough food left over for my dinner. I typically enjoy extra spicy foods. If your tastes are similar to mine or if you want your meal mild or even spicier, let your server know. This place won't disappoint. Couldn't finish all of my lunch & took the rest home. I couldn't be bothered with the few seconds of microwaving the leftovers. Ended up eating it at room temperature & it was scrumptiously delicious ;)! Do the do carry out? Absolutely. I've never gone home with someone else's order or had missing items from mine. We love ordering from here especially for lunch. The portions are large and the lunch specials include salad and soup. Another thing to note is that the lunch menu is the same as the dinner menu, but significantly less expensive. The staff is always friendly and the food is exceptionally well done. This is my go to place for a quick delicious Thai lunch. It's always busy but you get served fast. I love the soup that starts with the meal. It is flavorful and gives you that warm homey feeling. The spring roll is always crisp too. I switched it up and order a new dish. It was the Padd Kemau. The wide noodles are my favorite but this had a bit of a spicier sauce. It is a bit off putting on the outside and looks like a dive but is delicious as most seemingly dives are in my opinion! We met friends for dinner and were seated immediately. Our friends had papaya salad and lemongrass soup to start and asked for no mushrooms. However either due to lack of understanding or the noise factor the waitress forgot to mention it to the kitchen. We helped her pick them out and eat them, but here definitely make sure to place your order with enunciation. Our pad Thai and two otter dishes (forget the names sadly) were amazing and so filling. Mine had a coconut peanut sauce over rice noodles that I could eat for days. Their food makes you want to keep eating until you have to roll out of the restaurant! Easily the best all around Thai experience I've had in Indy. And that's saying alot because there are some good Thai offerings around the city. Service was exceptional.
