Most of the times I have been here I would give it a five star review. Everything is usually fresh and very, very good. I feel like it is a little bit pricey for the small portions, but I don't mind because everything is usually extremely good. I was a little bit disappointed last night when I picked up though. The crab ragoon and the spring rolls were very dry and overcooked. All the other stuff just tasted different in meh this time. I also noticed that the prices on my receipt were higher than what their menu says. I definitely won't let that one that experience. Keep me away though. Definitely try if you're in the area.

A good solid 3 stars. Went for lunch ..had the street noodle lunch special. Service was great..food good but not as razzle dazzle as I thought it would be. I recommend

Sad this was the only picture I took... I had the Lobster Pad Thai and my husband ordered the Red Curry Duck and both were out of this world and the Milk Tea was so good that my husband drank half and had to buy me another! ;) Even bought one for our babysitter. Service was warm and inviting.

We are so impressed with Thai Riverside! They delivered to us a town over, and called us almost immediately after we placed our order (online) to confirm some "special notes for the chef" details. My partner is allergic to fish products, so they took extra care when preparing our meals. The online ordering process was user friendly and informative, and the food was about as good as it gets. I'm tempted to order two nights in a row! Highest compliments to this authentic Thai restaurant!

Tom Yum Soup & Drunken Noodles

Seeking spicy, mouth watering dishes at an affordable price in the most unexpected location of Middle Connecticut? Thai riverside is quality lunch spot for you! We stumbled upon the restaurant while walking around Chester and came in with zero expectations, just the need for a quick in and out lunch. The food was really fresh and sizzlin hot straight off the pan. The Tom Yum soup was filling, the veggies soaked up the flavor and the lemongrass hint was subtle enough yet packed a punch. The drunken noodles were medium spicy, which is just right for you to need a second glass of water and feel the slight burn and runny nose every spice lover craves. Pushing the spice tolerance edge just far enough. What was really awesome was that the meal didn't feel heavy or greasy the way Thai noodles tend to, it really tasted light and fresh rather than saturated with oil. The attention to detail with a nicely designed and straightforward menu was also appreciated! Our bill came to $18 after tax- a steal! I would have bought a whole gallon of that mouthwatering broth home with me if I could!

Decent food. I go about once every other month. Nothing great but certainly worth the prices they charge. Best part is that they are byob.

Thai House has been one of my favorite restaurants for years, and I loved my most recent visit…read morethere. I entered on a Sunday evening and was greeted and seated immediately. I typically get Glastonbury Chicken (delicious) or chicken pad thai (classic), but I went for the Gai Gra Pow this time. It was stellar! I also had some of the Korean Pancake (scallion pancakes) as an appetizer. Excellent portion sizes, delicious food. I haven't been around to this restaurant in a while, and I forgot just how many options there were. Sushi, thai food, so so many classics. I'm already excited to return. This restaurant has my favorite crab rangoons of all time--absolutely delicious recipe, I absolutely recommend that as an appetizer. I have had so many grab rangoons over the years. These take the cake by a mile. The building itself is in a lot with some other local businesses and restaurants so usually there's plenty of parking. The parking lot does get crowded some nights, but it was nice and easy to find a spot when I went! They have a designated parking spot for takeout orders as well--and their takeout is great!

This was no written or editted by AI…read more We went to Bao on a recommendation and had the highest hopes. First, the décor was ok--a nice if not admirable try at creating the ambiance of the far east....along with a TV showing high def images and drone footage of the Thai countryside(I think). The lighting was poor, and to address that they put big-boy lamps on the tables...but when we needed more room on the tables and asked them to take the lamp away, I needed to use my phone to see the menu. The noise level was ok and not too cacophonic. The seats were almost comfortable. The service was less than satisfactory and was one of the reasons that this place did not end up with an average score. First, the appetizer and main courses got a little logjammed. Second, they did not have the sense to figure out how to accommodate all the dishes on the tabletop. Next, they seldom came by to check on us and refill glasses and we had to ask several times over for them to bring us more peanut sauce. The most significant transgression though came just before the finish line. We sat, and sat, and sat, and sat some more awaiting our check. Finally, I got up and summoned a passerby waiter to run our charge. The food was meh. The Larb (chicken) was a nice portion and cooked perfectly, but the chicken pieces were underseasoned, bland and i had to force myself to eat them. The lettuce was so stiff that it could not roll up the mined chicken and onions and the contents spilled all over my shirt and table. That was a harbinger. Let's move to the Massaman Chicken. It was more of a liquid than a sauce. Having made the dish many a time, this comes from a little too much coconut milk and not reducing the sauce for enough time. Sometimes it comes from rushing--but this is speculation. The chicken was cut into pleasant morsels and was a little rubbery and dry, the onions were nice and soft and tasty, and the potatoes were cooked just right. The proportions of the solid ingredients felt about right. The Pad Thai--frankly it was ok...or almost ok. The noodles were cooked properly, and the red sauce was new for me in that when I order it at a restaurant or make it at home, the default is brown from higher amounts of soy sauce. The other ingredients in the Pad Thai were scant--very little chicken, for instance, but other ingredients were sparse too. I saw a small pile of bean shoots and carrots and perhaps someone should have mixed it all up first (kitchen vs. customers) but by the time the dish made its way to me it was basically noodles. The Pad Se Ew was not a winner. It was off. First, it might have been overcooked or under-seasoned, but it was not right. Also, too, there were too many veggies and other ingredients and too little or few noodles. This dish can be made many different ways, and the sauce can be a serious and conscientious build--this seemed to be not so complex and put together rather hastily. The spring rolls are not your typical Chinese-restaurant-takeout-fried-egg roll style deliverable. The presentation was much more sophisticated and elegant, and they looked like works of art. I did not try them but the diners I was with did--and they said they tasted just as as they looked. There was a bit of food left over...some of the other folks I dined with asked for containers to bring them home-- I told them they needed to have their head examined... The service was a 1-2, the ambiance was a 2, all the dishes were 2s--maybe after a few drinks I'd give them a 2.5. Overall, if an average is 3, this was below that, so they get a 2.

BOA... Personally, we love Thai cuisine, this however, was hands down the worst Thai food…read moreexperience we've ever had. Prices are astronomical for not only the portion size but also the quality. Basic curries start at $32 and if you want any protein (chicken, beef, seafood) it easily is $36-40+ for one single curry dish. They ought to offer financing options for their outrageous prices. It's almost remarkable how someone is able to cook beef so old and dry in a vat of curry broth but surprisingly it can be done! The beef tasted like it was definitely old and cooked very dry. Not even seared just dry. It's borderline criminal to serve food this bad for this much money. The curry itself, beef aside, was just a pile of bamboo chutes, a few bell peppers and a frugal driblet of broth. Any other Thai restaurant on the island you get 10x the quality for $15. Thai ice tea was good, but overall incredibly disappointing. Wouldn't recommend until they change up the kitchen/menu prices. If you're incredibly enthusiastic about a $36 bowl of bamboo chutes, this place is for you.

Best Thai food in Wallingford hands down…read more The pad Thai is the best I've had. It's hard not to order it every time. But everything on the menu is delicious so ya gotta branch out. The location in in between two pizza places on the North Haven side of Rt 5 in Wallingford. It's our go-to take out place. Recently we dined in and it was even better. Their tom kha is so flavorful. The green curry beef noodle dish was huge and delicious with the right amount of spice. Unassuming simplicity inside with more take-away orders than diners, it seemed. But dining area was nice. I've dined here years ago and it was different. I imagine they changed owners or renovated in some way, because it's extra good.

Food- spring rolls are always good. However, I will say my go to is generally the pad Thai. Sometimes it is spot on and other times it almost tastes like there are different cooks, and it where it tastes like it came from a wok that is too hot/singed flavor and the right flavors just aren't there. I did notice they changed to more biodegrading to go products which is nice though! My family member got the Massaman Currt and reported it was not as good as usual, this time around it was very soupy with minimal spice. I've never eaten inside but this looks like a small hole in the wall spot from the outside , it is very quaint. Overall, return out of convenience when visiting the area from time to time but wish there were more consistency with when those dishes have been closer to their best!
