I had a 50mile race coming up and had a bit of an injury that needed attention ASAP. Trish was immediately available, she was so kind and welcoming. Sometimes an entire day is spent riding and or running alone. A good massage therapist is tough to find who actually knows their way around sports related injuries, tightness and recognizes where pain is originating from when effected from remote areas of the body. Trish is one of those few. I stuck with one singular therapist for YEARS because of the fear of looking around and missing the mark in my choices again and wasting those precious dollars and hours on the table. I called Trish after roughly 6 years of knowing her finally when I found myself in a pinch unable to grab an appointment with one of my very trusted therapists. Having decided I heard enough people say her "human touch" was right on, I went for it and no regrets at all! Trish worked her way through upper and lower back and neck issues, a bound up nerve in my back effecting my neck and took everything in my legs in detail to release nerve pain found from my sciatica that had been flaring up giving me problems all in about 90 minutes. She talked the entire time (by my own choice, I'm a talker, I don't sleep or sit idle well), is personable, warm and kind and has the desire to get you working and on your feet. She can identify problems well and while one 90 minute session is never enough, that first one gave me just what I needed to have super fresh feeling legs the next day to take my first overall win in the Camarillo Marathon! The day never for one step gave me any grief. The congratulations at the finish were something I'll always remember and good chuck of it came due to being loose and free moving. My only regret is I haven't gone back "regularly", but that's just me. I procrastinate and don't want to take the time out to go lie on a table. If you can get in to see Trish at "Human Touch Massage Therapy", go! You won't leave there with any regrets and I promise you'll be back again and again with an overall improvement in your body's movement.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel people should know about my experience…read more Before booking my appointment, I called to explain that I wear a hijab and asked if they could accommodate me in a private room. They assured me that wouldn't be a problem, so I booked the massage. The body massage itself was okay. The therapist was professional, although she used much more pressure than I expected, even after I requested a medium-pressure massage. I actually woke up with bruising on the backs of my shoulders that are painful to touch. While that wasn't ideal, it wasn't the reason I'm writing this review. What happened during the foot massage was. After the body massage, I was taken to the shared foot massage area. While my therapist was massaging my legs, one of the male employees walked over, stopped, and stared at my legs. He then pointed toward my legs and made a gesture with his hands indicating "big" while signaling to another female employee. Whether he spoke or not, the gesture was obvious enough that I immediately felt like my body was being mocked. As someone who already trusted this business with my privacy and specifically requested accommodations because I wear a hijab, this experience was incredibly humiliating. No customer should ever feel judged, stared at, or made to feel self-conscious about their body while they're in a place that's supposed to help them relax. Today, I called hoping to speak with a manager so I could address the situation privately before leaving a public review. I was told there was no manager available, and the employee hung up on me. When I called back, my calls were ignored and sent straight to voicemail, where I wasn't even able to leave a message. The lack of professionalism, respect, and accountability was extremely disappointing. I left feeling embarrassed, disrespected, and unheard. I won't be returning, and I hope the owners take customer concerns more seriously and ensure that every client is treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their size or appearance.

As soon as you walk in you notice the relaxing and quiet atmosphere. My only concern is that after I got home later, I started to question the $50 I was charged and remembered that the foot massage was advertised as $45 for a 30 minute session, but when I looked at my receipt, I saw that the woman at the check-in desk overcharged me $5. When I booked my appointment online, it showed that a foot massage was $45 for 30 minutes, if I paid with a credit card. The website also has small print that states the prices shown is if paid with a credit card and that they will give a $5 discount if paid with cash. I have arthritis in both of my feet and the massage really helped with my daily foot pain, so I'm hoping this was a mistake so I can return again. But, I'm not comfortable returning if I'm going to be charged more than the prices they have on the website and on the wall next to the check-in desk at the Upland location. It would also be nice if I could get my $5 back or a credit, to show good faith from the business owner. Update: the owners responded very quickly to my review, apologized, and resolved the overcharge. I appreciate this very much and will definitely return and recommend YOLO Massage #1 to all my friends and family. Thank you so much Michelle.

I called beforehand and was told that their Rancho location was closed, but that their upland location was open, and they gave me the address. They never asked if I was coming in right away, and I never said I was, so I completely understood when we arrived around 6:45 PM and were told they didn't have anyone available at that moment. The lack of availability was not the issue. The way TJ, the owner, handled the situation was. His wife, Michelle, was extremely sweet and genuinely tried her best to help us. We were two clients hoping to get massages, and she was making calls and trying to see if she could get someone to come in. We never expected or demanded that she do that, but the fact that she was willing to try really showed how much she cares about her customers. TJ, on the other hand, came across as irritated that we had even shown up and seemed bothered that Michelle was trying to help us. He repeatedly kept saying, "There's nobody here, there's nobody to take them," and seemed annoyed that she was even making an effort to find someone for us. I also think it's extremely rude and unprofessional to speak that way in front of your customers, especially when your wife is actively trying to provide good customer service. You could clearly feel the negative attitude, and it made the whole situation uncomfortable. What really bothered me was that while we were standing there waiting to see if Michelle could find someone for us, another customer called. TJ answered the phone and told them there was someone available at 8 PM that same night and booked them, knowing we were standing right there trying to be seen. We had arrived around 6:45 PM, and they close at 9 PM. That made the entire interaction even more confusing and frustrating. Again, I would have had absolutely no problem being told, "Unfortunately, we're fully booked tonight, but we'd love to see you tomorrow." It was the attitude and lack of professionalism that bothered me. Michelle was wonderful, accommodating, and clearly cared about trying to help her customers. Unfortunately, my interaction with TJ completely changed my impression of the business. You can turn customers away when you don't have availability without making them feel like they're a bother for simply walking in and asking. This was my first time here, and unfortunately, it was also my last.

Even with inflation the pricing is still reasonable and the business has put in place extra cleaning protocols to be hygienic. Reservations highly recommended. On my visits, I can tell all of the staff have regulars who love them. I always call ahead of time to reserve with Lucy, and every time I bring a friend, they have all really liked Heide. We always get the 90 minute combination massage ($55) that splits into a 30 minute foot massage to start and then a 60 minute body massage. This special comes with complimentary foot scrub and hot stones. The pricing here is definitely more competitive than similar business types. The foot massage section of the business has curtains that divide the area up in one or two stations. On my solo visits I get my own section and when I bring a bring we can be in a section together. We really enjoy the privacy. The treatment begins with a warm foot soak. The bucket is lined with disposable plastic so it is sanitary. While your feet are soaking, they massage your face, scalp, neck, shoulders and arms. If there is anything you want them to skip, just let them know ahead of time. Since the pandemic I've been skipping the face portion or if I have plans afterwards I ask them not to touch my hair so I don't look too messed up. Then they move onto the foot portion. Lucy is amazing. She knows all of the pressure points in the feet. I feel like she senses all of the areas of my feet that has tension. The foot portion of the massage is finalized with the sugar scrub and hot towels. Afterwards we transition to the private rooms for the body massage portion of the massage. They have clean blankets on each table and another thin disposable sheet of material for cleanliness. You can undress to the amount you are comfortable with. Spoiler alert, there is an oil massage part so you might want to take off anything you don't want to get massage oil on. Lucy is always super sweet. She always asks if there are areas I would like extra focus on and will check occasionally if the pressure is good. I like a firm pressure and Lucy is perfect. When it is time for the hot stone massage, she always checks that the temperature is okay. The warmth really helps get out any knots. I always feel completely relaxed after her massages. As with all massages, remember to communicate what you prefer to ensure the best experience. I feel like writing this review is like giving up my secret hidden gem, but the business really deserves all of the credit. They work really hard; please tip well!

If you don't enjoy long reviews, here's the short version: Run to this place and let yourself be pampered. Now for the full review. After a particularly rough week at work, I accidentally booked two massage appointments instead of one. Thankfully, the staff called to let me know about the double booking and were incredibly accommodating. Rather than canceling the second appointment, I asked if they could accommodate my husband to which they gladly approved. We unexpectedly ended up enjoying a couples massage. My husband chose the Swedish massage with cupping, while I treated myself to the full-body lymphatic drainage massage along with a hair and scalp massage. Between the two of us, we've had massages in Corona, Palm Desert, Cancun, and several higher-end spas. Surprisingly, none of those experiences ever inspired me to write a review. My massage therapist, Coco, was wonderful. She adjusted her pressure throughout the session, checked in frequently, and knew exactly when to be gentle and when to apply deeper pressure. My husband had an equally positive experience and felt comfortable enough with the staff to try cupping for the first time. When the session was over, I genuinely felt lighter, more relaxed, and refreshed. I could even see a noticeable difference in how my face and body looked afterward. It wasn't just relaxing--it felt restorative. Another thing I appreciated was their availability. They offer several same-day appointments, which is perfect for those spontaneous self-care moments when you realize you need a reset immediately. The pricing is very fair, and honestly, the service is worthy of an even more generous tip. Don't let the location fool you. This place delivers an experience that rivals spas charging much more.
