I have been getting massages at La Verne Massage for almost 2 years. I feel it's the best place to get a foot massage. I usually go with another person. Most of the time we get a private room for two, sometimes a room for 4 but we are usually the only ones there. It's always clean, quiet and relaxing. As with many places, the employees change, sometimes I get a person that gives a better massage than an other but I've never had a bad massage and neither have my guests. They're always very thorough, good consistency in massaging arms, legs, back & head and of course the feet. The pressure is usually good for me and hardly ever have a need to ask for a change in what they are doing. Sometimes the people speak little English but it does not bother me and it has never created a problem when it comes to the service or massage I get. It's just something to expect and get used to. read more

Bought groupon for 60 minute massage and foot detox. The establishment is very nice and clean looking, the hostess was extremely kind but it was difficult communicating in English with her. As far as the massage, it was below average. I gave a tip anyway because it seem like the guy was trying his best without the skills of formal training. The detox was fine, but the lady didn't explain what it meant. Perhaps if I had another masseuse and perhaps if the detox was explained my experience would have been better. Using groupon to try different spas for a massage is like playing Russian Roulette. . read more

New owners in 2021. New owner's massage therapist was pressuring me to leave a her a $20 tip on a 30 minute massage! I openned up my purse to give her a my tip and said I could afford $20 because she saw more cash inside my wallet. I told her I needed that money for groceries. I wish the old owners never left because the massages were great and they never pressured you. They were the best. I will never go back here as long as they force you to tip them the way the new owners do. read more

This is a good clean facility for sure! No hanky-panky, no rub and tugs , just a great clean massage! The lady I forgot her name, always knows where I'm hurting, in fact I Ask her when I go there where am I hurting and she will always pan point with her finger where I'm hurting and of course I say ouch! But she's the best! Great place read more

This is the best massage spot in Laverne. I have been to them all. The vibe is calm and quiet. No rushing thru massage for next client. Highly recommend this spot. read more

Full body massage 50 dollars and be prepared to pay a gratuity at a minimum of 10 dollars. Your also asked to pay up front prior to the massage. My husband and I always leave about a 20 percent gratuity, yet when it's awful we do less. I guess la verne massage expects you to pay 10 dollars whether you like it or not. I would suggest explore other places for massage, this place was better years ago, now it's "whatever". read more

A very good massage shop, the masseuse is very enthusiastic, and it is very comfortable to do a full body massage. good environment.

Go there you'll love it I'm not too keen on going to these massage parlors but this one and this lady were phenomenal....The price was good the pay was good the hands were a credible very precise and what I needed I was upfront and so are they I highly recommend this Nancy is the one that took care of me if you don't go there you're blowing it read more

I'm new to the area, I have a horrible chronic neck and back pain problem, I am very athletic and I am a highly stressed out person; massages are something of a lifestyle for me. I decide it's time to find a local massage therapist. I know I have A LOT of choices in this area. I hear great things about Massage Envy however for me this needs to be a weekly thing, I'm not a soccer mom who needs to relax once in a while I need this to live a life with some comfort. Plus if I could afford that weekly I'd be at the sports medicine clinic at Pomona Valley Hospital which is GREAT. I decide on this little place and I was not disappointed. They asked me exactly what I needed and went right to work, he kept asking me if I was alright with the amount of pressure he was giving me, their first priority seemed to be my comfort. I didn't come here to be romanced, I came to get that awful knot in my traps worked on. They do their job, who needs special lotions or candles, my tense muscles have no sense of smell. Good job La Verne Massage, I'll be back this week, and the next after. read more

Called to see price of full body massage and was told $50 for a 60mins. Lady made me pay up front before even getting massage. After massage went to tip the lady for massage and she did not accept my tip. She told me it was $20. I then told her I paid her already before the massage. She then told me that was for the owner. Massage was average and lady did not even massage my feet when it was a full body massage. I would recommend trying another place. read more

I had a hard time sleeping because I ride motorcycle a lot which caused huge pain on my shoulder and neck. I decided to visit this place to get massage on my shoulder and neck. The place is very quite and relaxing. I love the relaxing music. My massage therapist is very professional. I told him that I was suffering the pain on my shoulder and neck. He constantly massaged those two places and asked me if the pressings are powerful enough. After a hour excellent massage, I felt so light on my shoulder. Price is a lot cheaper than other places. I noticed they have many other massages such as foot massage and oil massage. The relax made me skip my dinner and went to bed directly. Of course, I slept like a baby till next day morning. I will definitely visit often. I recommend this place if you wanna relax or release the pain on your body. read more

Small and tidy, love this place. I didn't get the name of my masseuse but he was kind and hit all the spots that I was hurting. The employees are nice and I actually got my hours worth. Some other places say it's an hour but go for only 45 mins but this place actually does an hour. I also got a VIP card free of charge which was a bonus since they are 10 bucks each. I'd definitely go again! My body feels like jello now! read more

I do not recommend this place. I have been going to Spa Ritz for some time and really like the prices and enjoy there massages. My wife bought me a $50 gift certificate to La Verne massage thinking it was the usual place I go to (Spa Ritz), so I figured I would give them a try. I was very impressed by the ambience of the business. The place looked clean and nicely decorated. The lady at the front counter, seemed a little pushy but nice. Before I began my massage and I expressed to the masseuse (who was the lady at front counter) that I have back problems so I prefer for her to concentrate on my lower back. Once the lady began the massage it was nothing but painful. It actually felt ok when she worked my lower back which was only for a minute, the rest of the time she kept digging her elbows into my upper back, neck and shoulders. I told her more than a few times that I prefer a more gentle massage, but evidently she did not understand. She kept advertising her business to me and telling me if I could recommend more people. Lucky for me the massage was less than 1 hour and I got out of there as quickly as I could. I was very sore for the next two days. My observation of this place was they our more concerned about making money than providing a relaxing massage. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I will continue to go to Spa Ritz. read more

I Had this very painful and stiff shoulders and back so I was very eager to go in a massage parlor. I tried the $40 combo. I was so happy that the pain and stiffness in my shoulders and back was gone that quick when the lady named Lin massaged my back and my whole body. I feel very relieved and can't stop saying "heaven." because of no pain. I feel very relieved. But I wish the lady will keep the door closed every time she go out of the room as my PRIVACY. Other than this, customer service is very good. I recommend LIN. She did a good job with my back and shoulders. I will definitely comeback. read more

DON'T GO HERE unless you're in the mood to get a terrible massage and then be extorted to pay more ! Massage grade - D, especially since she kept leaving to answer the door, answer the phone or take 10 min to get towels. Thought it was odd that she demanded payment up front, but now know why.... when I tipped her $20, she demanded "another $10 for 90 min"... She repeated this well after I said NO, and kept saying... well next time, $30.... THERE WILL BE NO NEXT TIME, and I'm still angry. Overall grade - F, and am posting this warning.... really unprofessional.... DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. read more

Max provides an amazing massage! I have been coming here to La Verne Massage for about 2 years now. The place is clean and tidy, and the people are very nice. The first two times I came here, it was a woman whom worked on me that I did not care for, but she doesn't appear to work there any longer, and I believe new owners came on. Now, it is definitely my 'go to' place! read more

horrible experience made me feel very uncomfortable two ladies demanding more money to get tip i gave one lady 10$ and the other 8$ which was the last cash i had on me paid for the two services. one lady told me thats a big difference you need to give us more money. honestly i told them thats all i have cash and she was mad went off on me!!!! im pregnant so i didn't want to argue but will never go back again! i paid for the service and they force you to tip them alot of money like thats not an obligation! they weren't letting us walk out the door. so humiliating read more

Have you sought massage therapy where you can have consistency, and hopefully have the same therapist you found to be very good, on return visits? Then we strongly suggest La Verne Massage. We have tried multiple massage businesses, searching for consistency and professional practice, have had many negative experiences, and almost always never the same therapist. At La Verne Massage, owned by a wife husband team, you will find consistency, professionalism, and two therapists who are very dedicated to providing high quality massage therapy. My wife and I had used this office when it had been under different owners, and since this couple became the new owners, we have consistently returned, for more than one year, and will continue to do so. The quality of their therapy is exceptional. Their office and restroom facilities are spotlessly clean. A lovely feature are the massage table warmers, used during cold weather. Price list for various therapies are clearly posted. There is a an offer of one free massage after ten paid sessions, and there has never been any hesitation to provide that no charge session. We highly recommend La Verne Massage, owned by a very competent professional couple. E and K. read more

I gotta agree w' California Girl on this one. I usually frequent Spa Ritz, and they've been great (save that there's really no separate place to sit there while waiting). I thought I'd give these folks a try. The pricing was disjointed and varied from hand-made sign to sign (35-60 dollars for the same service). I noticed upon entering that a cat with hot-stones was actually outside the front door. Why? The girl that worked on me had no personality at all and went about her task like Cruella's personal slave. Ugh, the massage itself was lackluster, and devoid of any real skill or technique. Finally, she informed me "you're done", and I paid $45.00 which was $10. more than the posted price. She asked me, "why you no give tip?" I informed her that I basically did in paying 10 dollars more than posted. She looked unhappy and said "no good". I agree, the whole experience was "no good", and I won't be returning. I've since tried the new Zen Spa nearby, and find it very promising. (look elsewhere for more on that). read more

I don't recommend this place at all the guy treating just made it seem like a game the entire time. Didn't speak English and when you asked him to stop he didn't. I don't know about you but geez I paid $40 just for a bad massage and expecting a TIP what a load of crap and the girl that app entry speak English tells me you need to pay a tip a minimum $$$ amount and tells me next don't come back well seems like I won't go back. read more

I do not recommend this place unless you enjoy having your massage therapist fall asleep instead you. I was horrified when I started hearing him yawn loudly repeatedly. The yawning lead to hard breathing which lead to him holding my feet fast asleep. For the next 20 mins, he was trying to massage me as he was jolting back and forth trying to stay awake. I finally had to call the owner to cone in and tell her what was going on. Highly disappointed. read more

I found this place by shopping the plaza where is near by . I wanna say this is my favorite one since I had massage . My back pain had been hurting me for weeks . La Verne massage is a nice place with really nice service . When I walked in , the front desk lady recommended Max to me . He has really good technics . After the massage , my pain was totally gone , I was so relax . Even I never had any soreness or pain on next day . I cannot wait for my next appointment. read more

i recently happened to go to this place and had the worst experience. people sometimes forget the basics. a tip is something that a customer rewards a service provider with and the amount is determined depending on the level of happiness they enjoyed with the service they received. the two ladies at this massage place were outright demanding for more than i gave. when i said that i do not carry enough cash at that time, one of the ladies gave a sarcastic look. i am never going back to this place and i am not going to recommend this place to any of my friends or family. read more

I have had pretty good experiences here, have been a total of 7 times. Relaxing environment and friendly staff. I don't like that sometimes the massages are great, while other times it is mediocre. By that I mean that I feel like they are in a rush and are just rubbing lotion on me. If you get lucky and get a good masseuse, than it is great! I am willing to take the risk since their prices are so low! Happy hour M-F , $15 dollar 1 hour foot massage. read more

Great Massage However, the lady tried to tell me I have to give more money for my tip. Shouldn't that be my choice? I understand if they charged a higher rate because tip is included but she was nasty and upset I didn't want to tip more. So rude! I will no longer be going there. Anyone who goes to have a massage be sure to look at the little frames on their counter top. I am so disappointed that someone or a business is allowed to treat people this way. read more

Massage was pretty good although I don't like sheet being removed completely while being face down and it smells odd in there.

Very nice clean place!!! Come if you want to relax. Good price with great service!!

The first time my girlfriend and I came here we thought it was ok, nothing fancy and great but also not horrible. The prices were cheap so we thought lets try it again. When you are on a budget who can beat a $30 90 minute massage. So we get there Sunday night and the place is dead, so we ask for two of the $30 90 minute massages. They say ok but we have to pay first, again ok. Then they ask how much total. I asked do you put the whole amount in first or do I sign and add the tip at the end? They said it all goes on the card first, so I said ok make it a total of $70. That would be a $10 tip added to $60,which is slightly above a 15% tip. Well the lady was very rude and acted like first off a tip is owed and second like over 15% isn't good enough, she basically laughed at us. She said a $5 tip is low for an hour massage and we were getting 90 minute massage so the tip should be higher. I immediately took my card and said never mind! Tips are not mandatory and how can I pay a tip based on a service I have not had yet to know if it was a great service deserving a higher tip or a horrible service deserving a lower tip. And how rude to ask, or yet demand for a tip, who does that? Will never go back. read more

Don't go here. As I am typing, at home, I should be receiving the 60 minutes massage. After waiting 15 minutes in the "private room" I went into the foyer. There were 4 people at the desk. Not a single one spoke to me. I walked to the door and stopped, looking back at the people at the desk. Still no one spoke. I waited long enough for one of them to say something and walked out to my car. I waited in the car for a few minutes to see if anyone cared to see what happened. Nope. read more

I have been twice. First time I went with a friend. Her massage person talked on the phone for 10 minutes during her massage. She was whispering and it was annoying. Second time I went, the massage was fine. When I went to pay at the end, I told the man give $4.00 to the lady for her tip. ( that was 25% of the cost ). The man at the cash register told me I must pay a $5.00 tip. I won't be back. That was more than rude. Not only that, there was another person standing next to me. That was embarrassing.
