The khao soi was so flavorful, and I loved how the takeout container separated the noodles from the curry. Wish I could buy some of these containers for myself! The taste made it worth it, but perhaps next time we will dine in and take advantage of that price fully!

The popular Thai pulled tea place Khem is also located right inside and you can order from them directly while enjoying your food. Hi Hoi Tod is really known for their crispy Thai omelette and so we had to try it. We got the one with cheese and it came loaded with cheese, oysters and scallops. This was enough to get us full. But we had already ordered the pad thai - you get to choose the noodle for pad thai and the spice level, we went for the glass noodles and it turned out really delicious. Very well balanced flavours! The pad kra pao was also good and the portion sizes for both were actually really generous. We also ordered two drinks from Khem and my favourite was the Southern Thai pulled tea.

Got orh luak (oyster omelette - a combination of crispy hoi tod & soft orh suan) & kanom pal kad (fried radish cake). Oyster omelettes are apparently "renowned as one of the top three must-try street food dishes in Bangkok". Radish cake had a lot of beansprouts on top. They tasted a little like the dim sum version but without things like dried shrimp or Chinese sausage inside (but with large firm peanut halves), cut much smaller & quite peppery. The dish didn't feel integrated as the chives, green onion & beansprouts seemed scattered on top, not cooked (much less cooked together with the radish cake). The egg was also fried on its own, not with the radish cake. It was served with sweet soy sauce & chill slices in vinegar. I saw a video at another Thai place how they cook this on the street in Thailand: small pieces are fried on a griddle together with beansprouts & chives, so this is different. Oyster omelette was served with smooth sweet & sour red chili sauce & coarse green chili sauce. Both were good, but green was better. Which was good, because the oyster omelette had little flavour. The soft bit was very gooey & had a super mild flavour. The crispy bit was thin & crispy & ironically despite being thin tasted better & had more of a taste than the gooey bit. The beansprouts were underneath & more cooked than in the other dish because of the heat from above. The oysters were not fresh either.

I wa always drove past it but their fairly new store sign caught my attention, so wanted to check it out. I decided to try the chicken red curry, as its not too spicy and just a mild kick with it. The curry was quite solid, creamy and thick, and filled with flavour. Also, ordered a rice, which is unfortunately excluded from the curry. Then, tried the beef pad see ew to share which overall tasted delicious - coated in a savory-sweet soy sauce and tender crispy veggies ( broccoli, carrots etc.) The staff were super friendly, and the atmosphere felt so warm and welcoming -- perfect for a casual family meal. The price range is solid between $15 to $20 per dish. If you love authentic Thai food, this spot is absolutely worth checking out

I found their portion size to be very little, but the taste was really good for the paad kee mao, good texture on the noodles wishes it was a bit more spicier. The basil fried rice was really good I think that was the best thing I tasted here. The green curry was way too sweet, there was not enough spice to it. The jasmine rice was flavourful. The service was good staff were friendly and the owner or worker took a picture of my family with my daughter. It is a nice small family restaurant but I think khao san rao is still the top place for Thai food.

It's a different type of Thai food known as Isan food which is more salty than sweet from central Thailand. The flavours here are definitely interesting with lots of different textures in their food. Here's what we got: Tum Lao 3/5 - A refreshing salad with papaya, garlic, chili, tomato and green beans. The raw green beans was what threw me off in this dish. Tum Khaopod Kaikem 3.5/5 - Another refreshing salad wbut with salted egg, corn, peanut, garlic, chili, tomato, dried shrimp, and green bean. This was sweet from the corn. Pad Woonsen Cha Om with Minced Pork 3.5/5 - Stir fried glass noodles with egg, garlic and acacia leaves. It's okay and great for sharing. Larb Ped (Duck) 1/5 - This was so bland and unfortunately we had to send it back for some salt or seasoning. Even after it got brought back out there wasn't much taste to it so would probably skip. Pork Jowl 3/5 - This was good with a nice bounce to the pork jowl. Glass Noodle Soup Pot 3/5 - Another dish that I thought was just okay and a tad bland. Seafood Soup 4/5 - This was probably the best thing I had there. Great presentation, good flavour and good for sharing. Overall. the meal fell short for me with a lot of dishes being bland or not to my liking. We also had to flag wait staff down a lot of the times since they were so busy and no one really checked in with us.

The curry was really good. However my complaint is get a plate to eat curry with it's very difficult the sauce goes everywhere hard to enjoy on a plate. The noodle dish was alright no complaints but small. We got seated at the front of store by the barrier where in the other side people would queue. It wasn't overly full however they said they were full booking. Table q bit small to hold all food items Dessert wise the issue I have was they brought out the dessert when we had not finished our meal. We told them bring out dessert at the end, not at the same time and they did not listen from the beginning. We were no where close to our 90 min window they said for the seating not sure why the rush. The ice cream they brought back very melted. You can see the puddle around the popsicle. They didn't even put it back in the freezer/fridge. I gave feedback to the server however they acknowledge but could not do anything about it. So overall would I come back it's slim to none. Overly salty salad apps, small portions, dessert was melted.

The chicken was soft and tender, and the accompanying sauce had a strong ginger taste that made the dish stand out. I appreciated that it was boneless, which made it very easy to eat. My friends tried the Phat Kaphrao (Stir fried meat with rice) and Padthai, both very fragrant and fresh. One thing I noted was how friendly and helpful the restaurant personnel were. They were happy to answer our questions, offer chilli oil on the side, and even recommended the level of spiciness for our dishes. I ordered mine medium-spicy, which had just the right amount of heat for my taste. The restaurant was small, with only four seats. We were lucky because we did not know about it but could still dine in. Most people ordered takeout instead. Overall, I had an enjoyable experience and would recommend Phat Khaphrao to anyone looking for authentic and flavourful Thai food. I can't wait to return and order more dishes, this time to go!

Their Sala Pad Thai with shrimp ($24) is what keeps me coming back. Diners can choose between glass…read moreor rice noodles, and I always opt for rice - the flatter shape clings better to the sauce and minced peanuts. The noodles are cooked just right, retaining a pleasant chew, and coated in just enough of that sweet, sour, and savoury tamarind sauce to flavour the dish without drowning it. The wok hay still shines through. True to form, it arrives wrapped in a delicate lattice egg crepe, which is not essential for flavour, but undeniably pretty and giving the dish a regal finish. On a previous visit, I made the mistake of ordering dishes too spicy. This time, the server seemed to instinctively know better and brought the khao pad tom yum with chicken ($21) at a medium spice level. The fried rice was a full-on flavour bomb: punchy tom yum paste layered with aromatic onions, peppers, and fresh herbs. And the aroma? Absolutely intoxicating. I'd highly recommend splurging a little and ordering from the "premium beef" section. The khaw waan beef green curry ($27.50) uses "finger beef," a well-marbled cut carved from between rib bones. The result is deeply flavourful, incredibly tender meat with a luscious gelatinous ribbon of cartilage that adds richness. Green curry can often become too sweet or heavy on coconut, but Sala strikes the balance beautifully. It's creamy without being nauseating, with bold curry flavours still front and centre. The sauce is excellent spooned over the cone of steamed rice and soaking into the tender eggplant scattered throughout. Since my first visit, portion sizes have noticeably increased... we left with a doggy bag of leftovers. Everything arrives well-seasoned on its own, but for those who like to tweak, Sala offers a set of "flavour boosters" so you can dial up the salty, sweet, sour, or spicy elements. Personally, I didn't touch them and found the food didn't need any extra help.

Their pad ka prao with ground pork is another dish that's a winner to me and I always get this everytime I go. With strong basil flavors and the fried egg seals the deal. And of course you cannot leave without finishing off your meal with coconut sticky rice infused with butterfly pea extract and the Thai milk tea. The mangoes are super sweet and paired with the fresh sticky rice and coconut milk that has a slight salty taste that actually accentuates the sweetness of the coconut milk. Everyone is super friendly however they can get quite busy on weekends and holidays so best to order ahead.
