We have really enjoyed their food in the past. Have even encouraged people to come. However their customer service is horrible. We ordered from them recently, our order was not complete, and their only reply was that they would give us the rice free "next time ". It doesn't really seem to be making it right considering we paid for the rice in the first place. And that two people didn't get rice with their meals. So we ordered again, placed an online order on the website which said it opened at 11 AM. We were ordering for 14 healthcare workers. I received an email confirmation that my order was received , however when I arrived to pick up my order, they were closed. When they called an hour later to see if we still wanted my food, they didn't seem to care that I was not able to provide lunch for the 14 people who are waiting for the food at work. That we had to quickly scrounge to find lunch for these people. Their response was "oh sorry. I guess I'll cancel the order." I would assume that they would ensure they did not except online orders if they were not open. Especially if the website states they are open. How would I know, that they are not open? I emailed them to see how they want to rectify this and I have not received a reply. I am extremely disappointed and will not order from here again. read more

Oh where do I begin... I guess I'll start with the poor excuse for a salad roll. Paid $7 for 1 roll that was cut into small pieces, making it impossible to pick up and eat. The roll looked sad, filled with 95% iceberg lettuce and the rest cucumber, red pepper and 1 tiny piece of mango. It was supposed to have tofu in it as well but I was only able to find 1 micro piece in one of the tiny morsels of roll. The quality and effort put in to making this roll is the worst I've ever seen! Next I'll move on to their hot and sour soup... let me tell you something, this is NOT hot and sour soup! It's main ingredient is cabbage, and if that isn't weird enough it has the exact same taste and ingredients as the weight loss cabbage soup! Cabbage, celery, spinach, and tomatoes... Close your eyes and imagine a bland vegetable soup loaded with butter cabbage and a fist full of cayenne added to it, that is their version of what hot and sour soup is Finally I got the beef pad Thai... it wasn't the worst thing I've eaten but all it consisted of was a big clump of noodles, a few sad pieces of beef (which had the consistency of jerky), a couple pieces of tofu and eggs so finely chopped you couldn't even make out what they were... no bean sprouts, no onions, no peanuts or lime... no flavour!! The only positive thing to report is the food was so hot that you couldn't even eat it at first... At least they got temperatures right! Do yourself and your palette a huge favour and don't eat here! STOP READ AND BE INFORMED: Your in for a horrible experience should you choose to order from Thai Culture Oshawa. As shown in the pics the food was disgusting tasted worse than it looked. Upon delivery from Uber Eats immediately I smelled a strong odour of burnt food. Once I opened the package a white plastic garbage type bag with no seal on it to insure the food was not tampered with I found the source of the smell, as seen in the pics it was a very burnt roti. I set that aside opened the pad Thai it was a gluey congealed container of chicken Pad Thai , upon looking further I found no more than 10 chewed up pieces of chicken. It had no taste what so ever . It was missing main ingredients such as fish sauce, spice, green onions and my notes which were completely Ignored I had asked for extra spice,sauce on the side and extra peanuts. I have eaten Pad Thai from many restaurants and was fortunate to have travelled to Thai Land so I have a pretty good idea what Pad Thai should look and taste like.The real trouble we began when I spent the next 3+ hours trying to get a refund. I was told I would receive a refund before the store closed several times, they even took my card number which I was hesitant to give them along with my phone number. After 10+ phone calls the manager called to say he would not refund my money due to the fact it was ordered through an app the refund was the responsibility of the app service and he had no intention of giving me my money back. And he made it clear he had not been paid by the app which would take 2 weeks he had no responsibility to return my money. It was the worst experience I have ever had with any business , He was a very angry person who wanted nothing to do with considerate customer service. As stated in some of the reviews I also was told the manager was not in the store and could not be reached, I believe he was there the whole time and this is what his employees were told to tell anyone with a complaint. I believe they routinely have issues or why would they come up with a routine of putting you off with one excuse after another hoping you will just give up. I was upfront telling him I would be writing up a review on all platforms of social media. He responded by saying people always tell him they are going to post on social media " GO AHEAD". At one point it was requested that I return the food to the store, my response was I had just had surgery, did not drive and was unwilling to pay Uber 20+ dollars to return food that I had ordered . He was very angry and belligerent .Repeatedly he seemed frustrated that an order had even been placed through an app. He spoke very poorly Of Uber eats telling me they they took a commission on Uber Eats , why did he sign up with them is the question. I was told if I called in myself I would have my money back immediately. He made it clear I was being penalized for having used the app. Do yourself a huge favour grab a slice of bread and some peanut butter as I had to do over 4 hours from my original order. read more

Ordered $133.96 worth of Thai food from Thai Culture for the first time for a six person dinner party. After the delivery person left we noticed almost half of our order was not received. Called Thai Culture and the manager was not in this evening and an employee said it would be 3 hours before we received our missing items, unexceptionable. After many phone calls they reimburse our missing items. I will never do business with Thai Culture of Oshawa. read more

Was craving tom yum, so ordered the Lemon Soup in hopes it would be similar, as someone else had mentioned. My partner warned me not to chase the tom yum high I've been on, and he was correct..dang it! It's a flavourful soup but it definitely has more of a tangy lemon-tomato base and tastes more 'greens-ish', as compared to a tom yum base of lemongrass/lime leaves/chilli, along with that mm-mm-good umami flavour. The Green Curry was on the creamier side - nice texture but the higher content of coconut milk makes it sweeter than usual. If that's your jam, cool, but I prefer my GC to hit my savoury tastebuds. It had less chicken and more veggies than I expected, and at $13.99 it's a bit pricier than other places in the area. Stir fried glass noodles were great! Good portion, very well seasoned, has a medium spice (that creeps up on you) and a nice selection of veg. A dish I could eat on its own. Ordered on Skip and all was fine. I was visiting Oshawa and staying nearby. When I stopped by there was one waitress working. The restaurant wasn't busy so I chose a table by the window. The menu isn't as extensive as some of the thai restaurants I've been to before but had your typical green, red, and yellow curry, pad thai, and other noodle and rice dishes. I saw the cashew nut chicken was on sale so I decided to order that with a side of rice. I thought it was really great. This dish had a ton of great flavour. Lots of green and red pepper, whole cashews and long pieces of chicken breast. While I was eating there was quite a few people coming in an out for take out orders. Overall, this was a quick visit but the food was good and the service was bright and attentive. Would gladly go back the next time I'm in town! read more

Food is usually good, but delivery is terrible. It usually takes about an hour, that is if they don't lose the order. We've ordered delivery through "just eat" 6 times over the last year from here, and twice it took 90 minutes or longer. Tonight, I got the email confirmation about 20 mins after placing the order ( often the case with just eat in my experience ), stating it would be delivered by 6:35. Food was delivered 1hr 29 mibs after the email confirmation, including 3 unanswered phone calls to the restaurant and 1 to just eat, who said it would be another 10 minutes...in actuality it was 25. Driver said the first just eat driver never showed up. Food was hot, so koodos to the restaurant. I am not likely to use 'just eat' again. read more

The food was good, the lemon mushroom soup which is a lot like a Tom Yum was one of the best I've had, the spring rolls very crispy not too greasy, perfect. They also serve rotis, I tried a little bit of my friends it was OK but I found it a bit bland. I think their Thai food is better. The server was a bit absent-minded, but pleasant enough. Had it for lunch today while on my lunch break and the food was good! We had the Chicken Devil and Mango Chicken. We went right when the store opened at 11am, and there was only one server working so it was a little slow for service, but we understand they still had to set up the kitchen. The atmosphere was nice, with 2 TV's to watch and a small amount of spirits to choose from. Would give it another try for sure. read more

Great pad thai, beef devil and all very yummy BUT things have changed and I don't believe it's due to the pandemic directly because we ordered food from here about 3 months ago and even though it took longer because they only had 1 person doing the phones and cooking, it was still yummy. Called this time and ordered sticky rice with peanut sauce and they say they're out of peanut sauce....first red flag right. A thai place out of peanut sauce??? I asked for the beef devil but without green onions and they say they're out of green onions. No biggie because I don't want them but a thai place with no green onions??? I'm starting to get concerned here but I venture onward and order the pad thai, they ask what kind and thinking that's an odd question but I'm accommodating, I say the kind with chicken, tofu and shrimp. I've ordered Thai Culture many times through uber eats - wait time is usually about 45 mins. The food is always hot when it arrives at the door. I've never dined in the restaurant, so can't comment on service. The red curry chicken with rice and pad thai is always delicious. Good portions, and the flavour is great. read more

We used to have really good food and service from Thai Cilture. Tonight we ordered in as the kids were being rambunctious and we thought we would save the stress but once we received the order, there was something missing. Long story short, we were missing a whole dish for one person and when asked about it, Thai Culture simply said "well you can come pick it up, it's not our issue." When asked to speak with a manager we were told that, no that wasn't going to happen and we could deal with the manager tomorrow. Yeah, no impressed and will be letting everyone I know about the poor experience. You guys could have dealt with us like human beings, but now you've ruined that. read more

I have always had an amazing experience here except last weekend. The new girl was so very rude after we asked for more rice she slammed it on the counter and went back into the kitchen. I was left waiting for some sort of explanation... instead I left unhappy after realizing she wasn t returning... I LOVE the food and usually the staff... but that girl... bad day or not... you are the first and last person returning customers see. We won't be back if we see her at the front again. The sauce for the chicken satay was quite different from what I'm used to. It was both sweeter and chock-full of chopped peanuts. The chicken was very well seasoned and quite moist. The red curry shrimp was the best I've had in years. Haggy tried the beef steak and found it too spicy but that's not surprising considering she has a very low tolerance for hot foods. The waitstaff was pleasant and eager to please. It was wonderful to find this Thai/Malaysian restaurant just a few hundred feet from the LaQuinta where we were staying. read more

Honestly the best Thai food I've ever had. I order the Green Curry Veggie dish and it is addictive. The soups are equally as good and the Roti is so fresh and flakey it just melts in your mouth. I ordered takeout from this restaurant online. After waiting over an hour with nothing showing up, I called to see what was going on. They told me that my order never came in and that they would make it right away. The food arrived forty minutes later (ten minutes before they closed) and they sent me the wrong food! I called them back and they offered to resend my order. I told them that I wasn't going to wait another hour (would have been three hours since ordering) for my food and that I wanted a refund. They told me the driver would be right back with a refund. I then received a call back a few minutes later saying that the employee had spoken with her manager (who she said wasn't on site) and that he was only willing to issue a 50% refund. I told her that this was unacceptable, but she would not let me speak with her manager directly. She told me that he would call me the next day or the following Monday. I wasn't holding my breath, which turned out to be a smart decision because that call never came. They also went ahead and put through the full charge on my credit card. My go-to restaurant was closed and I was really craving Thai, so we tried this place. We ordered for delivery. The dishes were very expensive ($12.99 for most), and the portion sizes, when they arrived, seemed skimpy. Also, none of the dishes came with rice, which was weird to me. While the wonderful complex flavours of Thai food were there, the dishes were all over salted. We usually have leftovers when we order from our other place, and there just wasn't enough to go around. The pad thai was also very saucy, and I am accustomed to dryer PT. I probably will not order from here again. Also, I like to order online, and they would accept a credit card as payment.
