Drunken Noodles

I love this place for takeout. Eating in is cool too. Small intimate restaurant not too loud. Food is amazing and spicy if you ask for spicy. good size portions. Food was ready when I arrived and packaged well. Woman was friendly.

Casual Thai dining. Bring your appetite. We always order lots of food. We first had the papaya salad that was delicious. Thai iced tea as week as passion fruit juice. Then the main dishes (tofu red curry, eggplant stir fry, crab fried rice) And of course the mango sticky rice. Food is always great. Flavors just explode. Do not ask for it to be spicy... it will be too spicy. Family run, slower service so be patient. But worth it.

Another great Thai joint I'm happy to report! The restaurant itself is well decorated and inviting. The food is fantastic! For you spice lovers I warn you, medium is already pretty spicy. I went with a little extra spice on the side. The server was very nice! She even setup a space heater for us for an added touch. Would definitely return

Friday evening driving through Danbury and started craving Thai food, so a quick Yelp search provided me with this highly rated Thai Restaurant. The place is in a small strip mall, next to a Chinese takeout place. I was able ti find parking right in front and the restaurant itself is divided into two halves, one for dining ad the other for takeout. The dining area is very cute, about seven tables for patrons and one that has a bunch of plants sitting on it, which provides a nice effect. We ordered the Drunken noodles, which per my daughter were the best she had ever had. They weren't greasy, nor overwhelming with ingredients. Vegetables were fresh and the chicken very nicely done. I had order the Spicy Thai basil with Chicken and Shrimp which was also pretty flavorful, though not as spicy as I would have expected. The staff is very attentive, always looking to see if you needed more water, though they never asked if we needed any desserts or anything else at the end. Good friendly place, with really good Thai food. Will definitely repeat.

Situated in a shopping plaza, it was easy to find. Plenty of parking and their dining room is pretty. I ordered the beef pad see ew and my husband had the pork fried rice. For appetizer, we got the shrimp egg rolls (5). Was a bit surprised when it arrived because it was literally shrimp wrapped and then fried. Was thinking more around the way of small thin egg rolls. Tasted good though. Both dishes when presented, were big. My dish was excellent! Best pad see ew yet! Good bit of vegetables and the beef was tender. Hubby said his was good but not spicy. Told him he didn't order 'spicy', lol. We'll just have to go back and pick 'spicy'! Place had a nice ambience, despite being in a shopping plaza. The dining area looks new. Plenty of space. Waitress was nice and attentive. Will definitely be back. Definitely recommend to everyone!

We had the Tom Khar Soup, Chicken Satay, Phai Thai Chicken and Shrimp with garlic and peppers. Every thing was wonderful. The kitchen was humming along as they were very busy with sitdown and take out service. We noticed a few regulars on a Friday night who truly enjoy thos restaurant so we were excited to have dinner. Waitress was terrific...she read our minds that we wanted to share the soup. So happy to have found this lovely local favorite on a busy street in Danbury.

Awesome restaurant, roti is excellent. Pad Thai beef dish was excellent as well. Never had anything that didn't satisfy.

I've been to Xay's Danbury at least 3 or 4 times. What sets them an apart from all Thai restaurants…read morein Connecticut is the freshness of their ingredients and the tastefulness of their dishes. Admittedly I've never tried their Thai curries so I can't comment. My first trip here was to try the Pho. It was good, but it was on subsequent trips that I explored their Yums. Today I had Nam Khou which was crunchy rice, scallions, cilantro, and Laos sausage pieces served with romaine lettuce leaves on the side of the plate. I took that to mean I should scoop some of the dish into each leaf and it was delightful. While it is supposed to be two peppers hot, according to the menu, it was not but it was very flavorful nonetheless. You can always scoop some black chilli oil on top as they graciously keep condiments at each table. I also tried the summer rolls again. Now my favourite summer rolls used to be the ones in West Hartford with crispy pork and shrimp in them. However, I will say just the plain shrimp ones were wonderful. One nice touches they provide a little espresso spoon in the peanut sauce so you can scoop it's on top of each bite without having to dip and have it fall apart. The CREW was kind of quiet today but I came in mid afternoon so they were catching up on other stuff. However, the service was still great. I almost hate leaving this review because this is like my private spot that no one knows about. That's about to change.

Waiter immediately comes over to get our drinks order. When he returned, asked for egg rolls as appetizer. Then we ordered Pad see ew and Beef Kao pad. Egg rolls were so good! Four were perfect as an appetizer. The beef pad see ew was so good too. Had so much, enough for dinner later on. Hubby enjoyed his Kao pad. Almost finished it! Really enjoyed the food. During this time, two more couples arrived. And although we were done, they didn't come by to find out how we were doing. It seemed a little odd, but we patiently waited. Overall, would definitely return because the food was really good. The service, could be better.

Such a unique, creative, vibrant spot right on the water in Carmel! Loved all the unusual dishes…read morethat you can't find elsewhere - delicious tapioca dumplings with cilantro, pad thai chicken wings, some kind of crunchy, coconut chicken noodle dish, fried banana rolls. They even have themed trivia Monday nights and great board games to play (loved playing the relationships card game). Tons of Thai tea and bubble tea options, too. Can't wait to come back. 5 stars!!!

The ambiance is very modern and colorful, with brightly colored walls and murals and really nice family photos and thai decorations up making it authentically thai-american. My favorite dishes here are the guay chai appetizers-- which are fried, deeply savory and chewy-- and their pad see ew which has a umami, wok hei flavor and a silky texture on the rice noodles. My only note is that sometimes the rice noodles come pretty broken up in pieces from the stir fry. Their red curry and pad Thai are also great, very flavorful with a fair portion. I appreciate how now they give you a spice rack to self-customize your spice level instead of relying on the kitchen. I only recently realized how GOOD their drinks are too. By far the best matcha lattes in Putnam county, as a matcha lover I like how you can really taste the matcha rather than just the milk. Their cocktails during golden hour are also amazing, and extremely creative. They also host events like trivia nights and open mics that I would love to attend one day. Thai golden has really set themselves up to be a wonderful hangout spot, and a nice third space to be a part of the community in. Great food, drinks, and vibes all around.
