Vegetarian Massaman Curry

This place is a gem. Every time I visit the service is so nice and the food is outstanding. Everything we have tried is delicious so you can't go wrong with your favorite Thai dish. We have even tried it for take out and it was fantastic! Hot tip: If you're sensitive to spice, start with the mildest option first.

We loved the attention to detail in the presentation of the food

Always five stars. I love Nate, the owner. She's wonderful and goes above and beyond. The wait time can be a little long but only because its just her right now. They're hiring!!

Absolutely delicious!! I hate myself for eating so much but it was just so good. I ordered through their website and my food was ready within 20 minutes. They actually called me to let me know it was ready which I thought was above and beyond. There were several tables of people dining in so maybe next time I'll eat there. I had the pad see ew and the flavors were amazing. The onion was sweet and the flavor from the bell peppers really blended perfectly with the sauce and noodles. I also made it a combo and added a tempura shrimp, spring roll, wontons, and soup. All of it was delicious.

Incredible Thai food! We ordered pad thai, pineapple curry, pad sew soon, spring rolls, thai teas, and mango sticky rice and it was all fantastic! The owner/head chef does a great job. The food is fresh, the flavors are amazing, and it's overall a delightful experience.

I ordered the pineapple curry (spicy) and it was amazing! The serving size is enough to feed two people or eat it twice.

This was my first time ever trying Aroy-D Thai Cuisine and it certainly did not disappoint!…read morePortions were surprisingly large and definitely big enough to share with another person or to have leftovers for yourself if you don't have a huge appetite. I tried their Fresh Chilies Stir Fried with beef (it also comes with a side of Jasmine Rice). I went with the spiciest they could make; "Native Hot" is what they call it here. It definitely was spicy and sinus clearing, but not as tear jerking as I've received at Thai Khao Kaeng Express and Pizzeria in Roy. (I do have an abnormally high tolerance to spice though, so it definitely could be an individual problem.. lol). I also ordered their Crab Cheese Wonton appetizer and good Lord, hands down, these were the most stuffed wontons that I have ever had! Insanely delicious, cooked perfectly, and just exploding with cream cheese and crab upon first bite. They also came with a side of sweet chili sauce, but they're so flavorful, you honestly might not even need the sauce. Yum! Last was the Thai Iced Coffee (they give you a choice of it being made with either milk or cream). I went with cream, and it was rich, flavorful, and oh so filling that I almost forgot to eat the the food that I ordered ;+) I absolutely 100% recommend Aroy-D Thai on 12th Street in Ogden. They have a large menu, competitive prices, and fresh delicious Thai food sure to satisfy anyone's palate. Thank you Aroy-D for such an amazing experience.

We order a bunch of items to share and my husband (who is Thai) wanted to see how they all compared to other Thai places we've visited. The chicken satay was chewy and a little sad to look at. The papaya salad was also chewy and didn't have the sharp acidic and spicy flavor of other versions of it. The larb was just okay and could have been a little spicier. The best thing we ate was the chicken pineapple curry. The curry had a good flavor. My husband and one of our friends had the very large Thai teas and mentioned that they were quite sweet and caused a bit of a tummy ache. Overall, we weren't impressed by the food, and the folks who took care of us were kind.

Love the new menu. Excellent authentic Thai food. One of my favorite mom&pop restaurants…read more Definitely back to pre-pandemic quality and service (didn't the no-dine-in days suck?!?). Wonderful service, and there's always a relaxed atmosphere even when they are busy. I intend to work my way through all the new items. Love that they have soo many vegan and vegetarian options, and still have excellent meat for my carnivores. Specialty curries include Pumpkin and Mango. The yellow curry puffs are tasty. The hot Thai crispy chicken wings were the best appetizer so far! Super crispy wings, with a sweet and spicy sauce and crispy basil. The rice and pad Thai dishes are delicious. Today we got our favorite panang curry, the perfect ratio of curry, veggies and tender meat. Highly recommend the Tom Ka soup. Love happy food. Disability & sensory friendly.

For all of the positive reviews, I was extremely disappointed in my visit to Ruan Thai Restaurant…read more I ordered the Garlic & Black Pepper Stir-Fry with beef. What I received reminded me of a lunch entree at other competing restaurants, but double the price! The beef was $3 extra (no big deal as that's pretty standard). There was hardly any vegetables let alone liquid. They have spice levels here ranging from 1 to 5. Once again I chose 5 being the spiciest, and this dish was by far the most mild Thai dish that I have received anywhere! At least the other restaurants give me either chili flakes or chili oil (or both) when I've ordered "Thai Spicy". No such thing here. Also ordered their Crab Cream Cheese Wontons (comes with 8) and they were way too overcooked (almost burnt). To be fair, once I bit in, they did appear to at least have crab along with cream cheese. The beef was cooked tender but I found this place way overpriced for the dinner entree and portion size. Plus, absolutely zero spice? At a Thai restaurant? I might as have well have gone to a chain Mexican restaurant in Utah (lol).

Thai Khao Kaeng Express and Pizzeria is officially the only legit Thai restaurant that I have found…read morein all of Utah. If you actually are interested in spicy extreme (and you'd better be), this is the only restaurant that I have found that will do (nak mak pet mak) for you. I actually started learning Thai strictly for this restaurant so I could communicate my wants/needs better to them. And they deliver each and every single time! Both in quantity and quality. I've been working my way through their menu, but any and all of their appetizers/curries/stir-fry/salads/noodles/smoothies/beverage selection/pizza/wings/breadsticks/etc will not disappoint! Quite possibly one of the few times that I've ever said that. Yes, I have been back for their pizzas (if you want crispier, just ask for an additional 3 minutes in the oven). Smoothies are absolutely delicious but their Thai Iced Coffee really threw me for a loop. It was beyond amazing, especially considering it had been years since I've had an appropriately made flavorful iced coffee. Especially strong. As you can see I'm very extreme; (spicy and caffeinated to the hilt) and I think I'm living in Heaven when a restaurant actually produces such amazing products! Pork wontons were a recent standout along with their vegetable stir fry. TBH, I felt like I was cheating when this restaurant closed for a little over a week last month and I was left to scramble trying to find another Thai restaurant for food (I'm currently addicted to Thai food it seems). I literally have ate the food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner depending on work hours; so I greatly appreciate all that this restaurant has done for me. And BTW, the customer service is excellent! They will aim to please. Each and every single time. Beyond HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Who could resist trying a place that has Thai food AND pizza?…read more I love Thai food and I like pizza, so the thought of ordering a Thai pizza was really intriguing. After looking at their rating, we had to try it. We ordered the Thai Pizza , Tom Yum Kai, and Pad Thai. The server brought the condiments which included Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, soy sauce, Sriracha, Hoisin Sauce, and chili oil. What a combo! What a nice surprise! Who would've thought that curry and pizza would go together? Pad Thai was really good. Lots of flavor and very fresh ingredients. Tom Yum Kai has just the right amount of spice and was incredibly flavorful. You can taste the lemongrass and a hint of fish sauce. We also ordered the chicken satay. Hints of curry and the peanut sauce was one of the better ones we've had. Give this place a chance. You'll be pleasantly surprised!

Nice Thai place for many years near the Best Western Plus by the mall. Tables for any size party. I…read moredined alone, and there are two-top tables, but I was seated in a separate dining room as the lone diner at a table for six. It was nice to be in that room. There were several other diners but it was peaceful. I ordered panang curry pork. Before it arrived, I was given a side salad that I wasn't expecting, which made for a good start. I asked about their spice levels, which go 1-5. They said if I had had Thai hot things, 5 would be fine. And it was just fine! Great flavor, good rice and a portion that you could share. I got some massaman curry chicken to take for the folks back home, at a medium spice. This is a family favorite and this was a good rendition. We would opt for a higher spice level next time, that's just how we roll. Service was attentive but not overbearing. My water glass never ran dry :-) A nice setting and we will be back.

99 Thai Fusion is a place that I just want to love, so much so that I've been there twice. Sadly,…read moreit really isn't hitting the authentic Thai mark (especially in regards to spice). First time, I ordered their Ginger Stir-Fry entree with beef. You can choose fried rice for an extra $1 over the steamed Thai Jasmine. So that is what I did. The spice levels go from 1 to 5. I chose 5 and instead of cooking the Stir-Fry in spice, they gave me a small condiment cup with chopped peppers. There was spice in the condiment cup; but definitely not a level 5 and certainly not enough for the whole entree. Very disappointing there. The Stir-Fry itself was completely bland, pretty greasy, and slimy throughout. Definitely too much vegetable oil was used in the cooking process. The beef was quite a bit undercooked (almost raw). Sadly the whole entree itself was a disaster... but, the fried rice definitely (somewhat) made up for it. It had a slight garlic taste to it along with some miniscule egg fragments. Either way, I decided I would give this place another shot on a different day. So for my next visit, I decided to go with their lunch combo/special so I could try out a few other things minus a large bill if it didn't work out. It includes your choice of entree from their lunch combo menu (along with meat preference), plus salad/one egg roll/steamed Thai Jasmine Rice/choice of soup (either hot & sour or coconut). I went with the Black Pepper Garlic Stir-Fry with beef and their coconut soup. Once again, I requested level 5. Instead of the chopped chili's, this time I just received a small condiment cup of chili flakes. The Stir-Fry was completely bland and once again greasy/slimy, and also a very small portion size compared to other Thai restaurants that offer lunch specials. The egg roll came with sweet chili sauce and was pretty good. The rice was okay. The coconut soup is what blew my mind! OMG, what a delicious surprise! UGH, I want it right now just thinking about it. It was by far quite possibly, the best tasting soup that I have ever had. The flavor had a bit of sweetness but not too much. It also contained cabbage and tiny chopped pieces of chicken. The liquid itself was just fine on it's own, and TBH I didn't even notice it had other ingredients until I started scooping instead of slurping (lol). Surprisingly the complimentary salad was also a nice surprise. Very basic looking, but it was extremely fresh (definitely had been washed but wasn't drenched or dried up), extremely crisp, and also flavorful with the included Ginger dressing. So as you can see, I'm on the fence about this place. Restaurant was clean and employees were very friendly during both of my visits. Only wish they would actually honor level 5 (Thai Spicy) and maybe cook the beef just a little bit longer and lay off of the cooking oil. But that coconut soup is definetly calling my name for another day.....
