Been getting my nails done for 40 years, I had really high hopes for this salon. The owners were very nice and I enjoyed conversing with them and everything was fine and she was doing a nice job until I pointed out that she had glued the tip on my pointer finger extremely crooked (not a little bit but very very obvious. She proceeded to argue that my finger was crooked and insist she did not put the tip on crooked and then said she would make it "straight next time"I did not want to keep arguing with her about it since she was unwilling to correct it, I guess I should have been more aggressive and insisted she redo it... but I just dealt with it, but for what I paid and tipped I walked away extremely disappointed especially when my husband noticed it without me mentioning it and he never notices stuff like that, then it was a bit embarrassing when several people commented on it. My finger is definitely not crooked or it would have been an issue over the last 40 years of getting my nails done and it's a well known excuse used in nail salons (there are even a memes out there making fun of nail techs using that excuse) when they are unwilling to admit that they made a mistake. Just such a disappointing experience where I had such high hopes. The saddest part is the other nails looked good (although they stated falling off after 2 weeks) but how she handled the poorly placed tip just tainted my entire experience. Customer service is not just when things are going great the true test is how they handle any issues that may arise. I liked the owners and want to support a local business, but I just cannot recommend a business that does not seem to care about customer satisfaction especially something that could have been fixed with just a little extra effort instead of an attitude and gaslighting me. read more

Thai Nail Maui is very professional. I called to make an appointment for my foot massage at 9.30 am on Saturday. Thai and her husband, the Vietnamese owners were ready for my 60-minute Food Massage. You can choose how long for the foot massage ranging from 10 minutes to 60 minutes. Thai's husband is so skillful and knowledgeable about reflexology! Before my foot massage. Skin and sole of my feet was rough, dry (see photos) and it needed extra care and nourishment. He applied different techniques (Acupressure Points, Hot Stones (smooth Lava Stones - Pohaku), Oil massage) on my feet. The weight he put on my feet, tendon was perfect. I felt so good and relaxed with radiant glow on my feet. I'm glad that I found this place. The owners take care of customers with great care and respect. They are a very kind and sweet family-owned business. Highly recommend Thai Nail Maui for excellent quality service. Thai Nail Maui is clean and convenient near Times Supermarket. The music is very peaceful. Love the energy there. read more

Absolutely love this place. Got to meet the owners (husband and wife, sorry bad with names) and they were just the sweetest. Very mellow, low key. I had an appointment at 9am and when I arrived they had just opened up and boy do they have COOOOLOOOR. I read somewhere they had quite the few options and i agree! A few colors i wanted, they were out of, however wife reassured me that i could take my time with picking something new, LOVE. picked a new color and a simple cat eye design (never tried, really liked it and I'm happy with how it looks). I also really liked the shape of my nail, sometimes one side is filed more than the others and I don't really realize it till i get home. I was the only customer for a bit until i had company when it was pedi time. I will definitely be back. It was a vibe. read more

I made an appointment at Thai Nail Salon over text. They were quick to respond and put me down for the time I requested. This is a family business and they know how to take care of their clients. They are professional: I loved my manicure and pedicure. I chose the pedicure with 10 minutes massage and I can't wait till my next one! The business owner did my nails. She was meticulous, kind and professional. The ambiance was lovely and I got to meet the owners cute little boy. This is my go to nail salon now when I'm on Maui. Love it! read more

Great service! Called for a same day Appt. and they were able to get me in within the hour.

That is the worse experience in nail service that I have had! I am so disappointed at this place. Both Thai and her husband. I made an appointment 2 days before coming down to Kihei from Lahaina and I called to make sure that is my appointment is still on and her husband told me yes it is. Thai will see me for hands at 3 and he will do in addition my pedi. When I arrived at 2:57 they took some walk in amd said I have to wait until 4pm before she will do my nails. Wow, what a disrespectful couple. Now I am heading back to Lahaina for another hour drive as I didn't want to wait. That is the worse experience in nail service that I have had! read more

Fantastic service. Was recommended by my cousin to come here and it did not disappoint. I've been to many nail salons here and my nails never come out the way I've requested but when I come here- twice now- they have gone above and beyond. They are so friendly and the entire salon is covid clean. Andy has done both my pedicures and both times I feel and look wonderful after. This time I requested #3 which is the Mahalo Pedicure, the scrub and the orange peels are heavenly. Highly highly recommend. read more

I'm traveling to Maui from San Francisco and wanted to get my nails done here while on vacation. Got my pedi done here yesterday and I already wish we had place like this back home. The couple that owns this business are such a sweet couple doing wonderful job truly taking care of you making you feel like a million bucks. I arrived and asked if I can charge my phone and immediately they plugged it in for me and made sure it is close to me so I can still use my phone while getting my nails done. The pedi was one of the best I've ever gotten, not only they really paid attention to do it well, but they also took the extra time to scrub and massage my feet very well. I often feel rushed when I get my nails done elsewhere but this was not the case. I ended up talking to the owner and his wife and they are the nicest people too. I truly wish we could have a place like this in San Francisco. I will definitely be back here every time I come visit! Thank you! read more

If you're local go here! If you're visiting, go here! Text the # to set up an appointment time if you want to plan ahead and you're not into a short wait (I just popped in and was happy to wait for a few). The owners are absolutely delightful humans! They are taking Covid precautions seriously and the shop is spotless. I just got a #3 pedicure and it was lovely. My feet feel soft and happy and my toe nails are a great shade of purple. Also the massage chairs are great - not that painful "kneading" but just the right pressure to feel relaxed and not have to shift in my seat. A perfect rainy day activity to be toe-ready for the sun and sand. But go there when it's sunny too! read more

BEST NAILS and Foot Massages EVVVVVERRRR!!! Covid Clean +++ with plastic shower curtain dividers between chairs and your nail tech PLUS 2 chairs designed for "couples"). LOCATION: perfect off the main South Kihei beach road as to avoid the sandy beach bathing suit crowd. Super convenient off Lipoa by First Hawaiian Bank with great parking. Color choices always fresh and new and not diluted. Seriously BEST gel mani/pedi I have had living on Maui for almost 20 years!!! My husband begs to come with me so he can see Thai's husband, Winns who my hubby swears gives acupuncture-like 'mood-altering' foot massages... so of course I let him join! Oh, and their son, Andy knows how to get rid of any ingrown toenails better than ANY podiatrist I've visited here! (His mom, Thai is great at this too). All around 10+++! read more

We HIGHLY recommend this place!! My boyfriend and I were looking for a super clean, efficient, and great nail salon for a mani and pedi on the spur of the moment one day and found this little hidden gem! (Mind you I'm very particular about cleanliness and hygiene when it comes to nails so it's hard for me to just pop into a random place I don't know). However this place checked all the boxes when it came to cleanliness. Not only did we receive the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE by Thai and her husband but our nails came out spectacular! (No chipping and I'm so rough on my nails!) The foot and leg massage were stellar!! The seats with the back massagers were an added plus. We learned that the salon is a little family run biz (local mom and pop shop) where they take much pride in the work they do. Just very genuine kind and hardworking people. We made new friends talking with Thai and her husband who worked on us :) We live on Oahu and we will fly back to Maui and come here every time. Love supporting local businesses where the people are just so kind and sweet!! You have loyal customers in us now!! We would without hesitation recommend this business. If you have a lazy afternoon where you feel like pampering yourself, just come here without any hesitation!! They are the BEST!! We left feeling so happy and pampered. Just good vibes and energy all around. It's one of the last hidden gems on Maui that you can find :) read more

Thai was super funny and was so genuine and felt like I knew her my whole life with the short amount of time I was there. Thank you again Thai for being amazing. In Maui for a week and desperately needed to clean up my pandemic claws/hooves but couldn't find a place in Lahaina that fit my criteria (sanitary, good work, not outrageously priced) but we spent the day in Kihei where there are a lot more options! I saw that Thai Nail Maui had nice photos, specialized in dip and had recent reviews so I gave it a go. Pricing here is moderate $127+tip for reg pedicure + dip/gel mani with extensions and flower detail. Absolutely worth the money. Thai and her husband are soo nice and did a great job. Thai in particular is SUPER METICULOUS about shaping. She filed my nails at three different points in my service, and not only did she repeatedly check the shape from several different angles but she also made sure to match the shapes between different fingers on the same hand AS WELL AS matching each nail to the corresponding finger on the other hand. That sort of attention to detail is virtually unheard of, unless you do them yourself. The only minor thing is that my nails ended up a little shorter than I originally wanted (maybe my fault bad explanation/bit of language barrier) but that is no big deal except that it made it a wee bit harder to find a flower that would fit. But we found one and I LOVE MY NAILS! 5/5 would recommend! And would definitely return if I lived here. read more

We are on vacation from WA, and wanted to find a fun place to get pedicures as a family (even the boyfriend wanted to join). We aren't regular mani-pedi people but wanted to treat ourselves since we are on vacay. We were so happy to find Thai Nail Maui. Thai and her husband have made such a welcoming and friendly getaway. The space is clean, comfy and relaxing. The pedicure options were great, I think we tried one of each. The massage with the pedicure was perfection. I appreciated that Thai was super patient with me as I decided what to do with my manicure (I was a little indecisive & they had soooo many colors to choose from). She was a perfectionist with my manicure which was also refreshing since the last mani I had the dude just rushed through it. All four of us were super pleased, and we will definitely remember this place for future visits! read more

I am from Southern California and am staying on Maui until Tuesday. I broke one nail today but don't need a fill as I just had one before my flight. Walked into to Thai nail Maui today while my family was eating at the excellent restaurant next door and the entire establishment was empty. The lady inside was busy watching Jerry Springer or something. I said "hi, I just have one broken" and she informed me it wasn't worth her time. She was willing to do a new full set and that was all. I told her I would give her a very big tip and make it worth her time and she still refused my business. I don't do a lot of negative reviews because I understand people can be difficult and I imagine myself in many of the same predicaments, but her salon was empty. Literally not another person in the joint. I wish there was a way to review the customers somehow on this site because I guarantee, I'd have 5 shining stars. Charge me what you feel is "excessive" I'll pay it. I don't know if it's a tourist thing or what. I left feeling baffled and confused. read more
