I have been having upper back and neck pain for days, most likely from work. I chose to come to Moon Spa after one of my clients had recommended me too. I did the 1 hour massage for $60. I received a combination of a Swedish and Thai massage. May my masseuse was pretty damn good. She took care of all the knots in my back. She was smooth and strong on those hard to reach places. I have had many massages for years and even a couple from this location, but I can not in good faith come here again. I feel a bit traumatized to be quite frank. I multiple times throughout the massage asked for it to be softer, as I bruise very easily, and this did not happen. The table/bedding was so hot that I couldn't stand it and had to ask for it to be turned off because I was starting to feel burning on my legs/sweating profusely. The woman who was doing my massage had short nails but in some way or another somehow managed to scratch me throughout the entirety of the massage and worst of all, left my neck and shoulders feeling so bruised I could barely lift my neck at the halfway point. Not to mention hitting me in my own head with my elbow when doing the stretching and not even giving me a head and neck pillow for when I was laying on my back. I left there in so much pain and so hurt that I started actually crying which caused me to feel so stressed cause this has never happened to me before. We were able to get a refund for my massage (couples massage and my bf was fine) so I'm not giving one star because at least that was done. I just feel so hurt and my head is pounding as I'm writing this review and am truthfully scared of massages for the time being. I had such an amazing experience here. I was able to call and book an appointment the same day which I appreciate because I was in so much pain. Yaya was my massage therapist and she worked wonders. I can honestly say that was the best Thai massage I've ever had and I am going to request her going forward, I'm sure all the ladies are amazing though. I felt very safe as far as Covid precautions, there was sanitizer and Clorox everywhere and they check your temperature and make you wash your hands before entering the massage. I've been here about 10 times for 60 min deep tissue massages. 4 out 10 visits were good, but the past few visits were so disappointing. I kept going back bc the first few visits were good. I tried to book my appts with the same masseuse I had initially but their schedules seem to vary week by week. So I gave up on that. Most recently, from my visit yesterday, the masseuse I had- 1. Just rubbed lotion on me 2. It was so frustrating as I laid there as her to press harder on the knots I know she felt but just kept gliding over it. Maybe she was tired from the previous patron but... 3. The heating mat was not on 4. And the room smelled of body odor. My visit last week was a little better except there were a couple times she opened the door to talk to co workers outside which felt awkward as I lay there with a thin sheet over my clothless body. I've spent enough money and time here to say that it's cleaner than other places and they honor your last minute appointment requests, but as far as the quality of services rendered for price($90+ tip)- not worth it. read more

I use massage 2 x's a week to get out of pain. I called and requested a deep tissue for 1 hour with a specific masseuse and was told ok. I arrived and was asked if I had an appointment, I said" Yes, and named the masseuse I was scheduled to see. The lady at the counter said ok, and brought me to a room. I was face down when a masseuse came in and began working on me. I noticed right away a difference but not knowing it wasn't the girl I asked for I asked her if she could do deep tissue. I was thinking that perhaps the person I requested changes up her technique until I finally I knew 100% that it wasn't the girl I asked for. I asked for her name and that confirmed it wasn't her. It was a horrible massage. I not only paid $60 for a little over 30 minutes (I stopped the massage) but I tipped the girl $20. My husband called to speak with Mark, the owner and he all but called us liars, defending the girl that booked me. He made my husband and I completely wrong. These are the kind of establishments that take ZERO responsibility for a bad service. There was a possibility that the girl that booked me over the phone and again heard the masseuse I told her I was scheduled to see upon arrival didn't have good English and didn't understand me. I would have been okay with this, it happens, but when the division in a business that is supposed to correct things on their end that are creating a bad effects defends the mistake and/or put the blame on the customer that paid for the bad service basically is saying, they don't care about the people they are servicing, just give them the money. This kind of viewpoint and treatment puts businesses like this out of business. Checking BBB next.................. **Like I said, the owner takes no responsibility. I have been coming to Thai Moon Spa for over a year and Julie is an amazing masseuse. However, this review is for Mark - the owner of the spa. My husband booked me a massage as a gift for my birthday and I have been looking forward to it all weekend. Unfortunately when I got in my car to drive over, my car wouldn't start. I was so disappointed realizing that instead of a relaxing day for my birthday I would now be dealing with AAA and car repair shops. I called the spa to notify them of what happened and spoke with Mark who was incredulous at how late my cancellation was and proceeded to chastise me for the change. I was very taken aback by his response which did not seem caring, empathetic or customer-service oriented. I reminded him that this is NOT how I hoped my day would go and my cancellation was a necessity not a choice. I asked if I could push my appt later or reschedule for another time the same day. He let me know that it was not possibly and told me to take an Uber, which I was amenable to despite the abrasive tone, but which would inevitably make me late to the appt. I related that I was willing to make that happen if I would still able to get the full massage time to which the response was NO. My interaction with Mark was very disappointing especially in the light of how my relaxing day quickly become a stressful one. His response and communication style was abrupt, condescending and far from service oriented. Instead of empathy, I was made to feel even worse than I already was and that's not the type of place I want to take my business to. IM HIGHLY OFFENDED. I came to get a massage here because my aunt bought a giftcard due to knowing how much I enjoyed the massages when I traveled to Thailand a few years back. I did not get the therapists name but she stiffed me on a few minutes even so I paid with the giftcard and cash which included a $25 tip. After paying I went to the restroom when i came out no one was at the front desk so I proceeded to leave since I had already paid. Went to my car and was fiddling on my phone. A couple minutes later I see the therapist come out of the store in a frenzied/panicked manner. She was looking into the patrons vehicles. She locked eyes with mine then went back into the store. A couple of seconds later another worker comes out and comes to my car. She asked me did I take a phone that didnt belong to me. I told her no and showed her mines that was in my hand. She then asked if I was sure. I was surprised but didnt realize the gravity of what happened until I was driving home. It was assumed that I took the workers phone and If I had to guess one reason why. Why not call the phone before stopping patrons in the parking lot in their car and essentially accusing them of stealing? Phones should be put away during business hours and/or kept on the person. This situation was hella foul and im very appalled. read more
