Tom Yum Noodle soup

Two Thai restaurants close by - we're actually regulars at the other spot but wanted to check out Thai Mom. Cozy and pretty interior (very typical Thai) with booths. The menu is bit more interesting with the addition of street food. Enjoyed our entrees, friendly service, will be back.

Everything was sooo delicious!

Just stop here! It's sooo good. Every bite was perfect and Thai mom is so sweet. We had about 4 different dishes. Green curry, pad Thai, special mom dish, papaya salad, crab ragoons and dumplings. Everything is delicious--- I'll drive out here to eat here

The best Thai food I've had in a long time! My go-to spot for Thai food. ‍ I highly recommend!!!

A friend recommended this restaurant as a place to eat authentic Thai food. It was a hole in the wall and not super close to where I was staying but the food and service was great. The space was warm and inviting and the staff was so welcoming, they were very patient with me and answered all of my questions. I ordered the Crying Tiger and it was delicious, it was a great balance of flavors and ground pork belly over rice with a fried egg, that was out of this world delicious. The food came out in a timely manner. The restaurant was quiet but they had two families enjoying their meals. I ordered a green curry to go, for lunch the next day and it was delicious as well!

The restaurant in this location used to be called Thai Treasure - we're not sure if it was rebranded or completely new ownership but we decided to try it out since we were in the mood to try some restaurants in the Vienna area and we love Thai food. My partner saw that they had a raw crab papaya salad so he decided to try that. I knew I probably wouldn't enjoy it but I tried a bite anyway. You could really taste the rawness of the crab in the salad. As I guessed, it was not for me but my partner seemed to really like it. For my entree, I got the Tom yum noodle soup - they didn't ask me for the spice level and I forgot to ask them to adjust it. It is very spicy! Even my partner thought so and he can usually handle spicy food very well. Besides the spice level, I thought it was pretty tasty. It was not packed when we got there but the dinner rush started to come in as we ate our meal, which is always a good sign. The food came out very quick and the waiter kept coming to refill our cups. The service was excellent. Highly recommend if you're a Thai foodie lover bc they offer several specialty dishes that most Thai places don't have.

Delicious food! Enjoyed everything that we had, but the panang curry, pad thai, and Thai tea were my favorites. This place was actually recommended to us by the Srila Thai Massage salon that is nearby. It was recommended over an even closer Thai restaurant due to it being "more authentic." I'm glad we listened. Thai Mom provided great food and great service. Would highly recommend. Many thanks to Emmie and her team.

Good food. Nice location. My wife loved the tilapia and the papaya salad. I want to come back for sure.

Kiin Imm Thai has lots of pluses. First, the interior is cute and cozy with a neighborhood bistro vibe. Second, the service was excellent. We tried the Ka Prow Chicken ("basil stir fry") at level 2 spiciness and Pad See-Ew beef at level 2 spiciness. Both were delicious with a side order of brown rice. However, if we could go back in time, I think we would have ordered a Level 1 mildly spicy version of Pad See-Ew instead. Overall, the highlight of the meal was dessert (Mango and Sticky Rice), which we both devoured and is . highly recommended if you're dining in. Finally, Metro garage parking was free on weekends!

Sounds delicious? That's because it is. The tastes of soft pastries were good, good good, good good. I enjoyed my Curry Puff without the vinegar sauce myself. However, if there were an option, I would dip it into a blue cheese sauce or ranch dressing sauce. This might be looked at as sacrilege to die hard culinary enthusiasts, yet as they say, "varieties of spice of life." Veggie Spring Rolls $7.65: These three little pigs are not made if Pork incase you are confused. The are stuffed with Glass Noodles, Cabbage, Carrot, Celery, Taro and served with a Sweet & Sour Pineapple Sauce. This tasty appetizer was good, but I felt a pork option would greatly impact my taste buds. Guess I am a carnivore at heart at times. Kanom Jeeb Dumpling $8.75: Five Pieces of Minced Shrimp , Chicken, Cilantro, Corn, Garlic, Scallion wrapped in a thin Wonton Skin and steamed or deep fried to perfection?! It is also served with a Honey Soy Sauce. However, I can not remember having this on the second day. Nevermind, I went back to Kiin Imm Thai Restaurant to try this dish. Unfortunately, did not find it very good. This dish had some taste; however, this item is in the big leagues, just trying to get up that hill. It failed in my opinion. Crispy Duck Rolls: $9.95 I had forgotten what Duck tasted like. Yet , prepared in the right hands, The Crispy Duck Rolls are sensational with flavor. Donald Duck, Daffy Duck and Darkwing Duck and Daisy Duck and even Scrooge McDuck would not be amused at the thought of eating duck...on second thought, most of them would most likely join in eating poultry. Some would be appalled, disgusted, repulsed, revolted, sickened, appalled, and nauseated...yes, Its so not nice I said it twice. I find this dish to be shocking, thrilling, spectacular, stunning, magnificent fantastic dramatic, superb and FABULOUS! The seasoning of the Crispy Duck Rolls is prodigious. The Duck sauce (if that's what it was) in one word to describe it..Kafkaesque. Personally, I thought about not getting my next order of it without sauce. I quickly abolished this idea, because the Duck Rolls need the small amount of sauce that goes on it. The Crispy Duck Roll melts in your mouth so to speak. It is the best appetizers I had on the second day of coming to this restaurant. I will be ordering The Crispy Duck Rolls again. Probably this coming Monday April 27th 2026. I look forward to trying out a few more items on the menu, or at the very least, some repeats items. 4/27/26 Okay, for the second time upon entering this business, I noticed the short haired lady who sits at service table is giving me the stink eye. I have come to think of her as Jabifa since I don't remember her name. If Jabifa's problem with me is the changing of a few items on the food menu, requesting no sauce on the food or not have the food spicy, then she is in the wrong business of food service. Speaking of food, I noticed the Nom Nom Pork Strips were different this time around. They did not look like the ones I had the last two times. They looked like the The Grilled Pork Skewers, but without the Skewers with less flavor than the last two times I had them. Ohh things have changed, but hopefully this is a fluke. We will see what happens within the next two times I revisit this business. Until that time, the overall experience for this place is a four star level. If Jabifa's stink eye continues, we might be at a 3 star for ambience and service. Nevertheless, the food itself is at a five star level.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated with lots of seating. The food is really good! We were a larger group, so I got to try several dishes. I particularly enjoyed the papaya salad, fried tilapia filet (with sweet and sour sauce, and garlic chili sauce), and pineapple fried rice. I don't eat meat, but my family also enjoyed the crispy duck and panang curry with chicken. The portions are generous - I think everything but the curry would serve 2 people. If you're particularly hungry, add in an appetizer.

We ordered the kanom jeeb, crispy duck basil, and Pattaya noodles. The kanom jeeb (2/5) had a thin wonton skin with a generous meat filling and looks similar to siu mai if you're familiar with dim sum, but the dumplings themselves lacked flavor and really relied on the dipping sauce to carry the dish. The crispy duck basil (2/5) was flavorful and true to their spice level, but the batter made the duck a bit dry. The Pattaya noodles (3/5) claim to be topped with jumbo crab meat, though it was more of a light sprinkle. However, the dish was packed with seafood and included some nice jumbo scallops, which helped make up for the lack of crab. Overall, flavorful dishes but a few misses in execution.

The Crab Rangoon arrives with a satisfyingly crisp shell and a creamy, well-balanced filling--pleasant, if not particularly distinctive. More compelling is the Hae Geun (fried shrimp rolls), which deliver a flavorful crunch and prove immediately addictive. The Tom Yum Shrimp leans toward a classic interpretation, emphasizing bright sourness and gentle heat. While the broth is lighter and less complex than some traditional versions, it remains enjoyable and refreshing. A standout is the Phuket Island, where a sweet red curry envelops perfectly cooked squid and shrimp; the seafood is tender, and the sauce strikes a harmonious balance of richness and sweetness. The Spicy Eggplant with Shrimp is equally satisfying, offering depth and a pleasing savory heat. Coupled with attentive service, the overall experience is cohesive and inviting--certainly a destination worth revisiting.

We were sat immediately (at the time of day, I don't think wait would've been an issue for either inside or out). The server was very nice, though soft spoken. After we ordered, the food didn't take long to come out. It may be because we ordered the lunch special or folks eating lunch are strapped for time, but the appetizer and entree came out at the same time. Not a big deal, but just felt rushed. My friend ordered pad thai with beef, but it came with chicken. No big deal. We made the server aware and she apologized and said she'd swap it if we'd like, but we passed. Overall, nice easy spot for when the weather is nice out. Food was relished. Lunch portion was just the right amount especially at the price (appetizer and entree for $17).

But the place was pretty empty, and I think I can understand why. The food here in my opinion is below average. I ordered a medium spice level Drunken Noodles with Chicken but I swear this was Extra Spicy--this is coming from a person that has a pretty high spice tolerance. Not only that, but it had a very tangy flavor to it as well. I've never had drunken noodles be this tangy. It did not taste right at all. This is one of my go to Thai dishes that I have ordered at many many restaurants. My husband got the Kob Kun Fried Rice. His dish was okay, but sort of strange. They kind of just plopped some crab on top (see pic) and didn't actually mix it into the fried rice. The crab they put on top was kind of cold, while the rest of the dish was hot. I thought that was odd. Even then it was better than my dish. So my husband, who has an higher spice tolerance than me, offered to swap dishes with me but even he could not handle it. It was spicy in a truly unenjoyable way. This sucks because I ordered a medium and they did not take that into account at all when making it. I had to do what I very rarely do--I asked if I could kindly send the dish back and I explained my issue. They were nice enough to let me order something different. I got the green curry with chicken. Sad thing is I got this mild in an effort to not have the spice issue again. However this time, my curry was completely sweet. I do actually like some spice in my thai food so this whole experience really sucked. I feel like I've made better thai curry at home, I will not be going back.

With light jazz music playing in the background, this restaurant is lined with wood floors, walls, booths, tables, chairs and a bar. As we sat down, we were greeted with glasses of water along with a plate of boiled pods of edamame beans along with a sauce plate of sriracha & sweet soy sauce. Yummy. A sign of a good Thai restaurant is their Drunken Noodle & Thai Fried rice. We ordered the Chicken Drunken Noodle medium spicy & Thai Crabmeat fried rice. Let's see if it has wok hei? After 15 mins, our food arrived. The portions for both plates were above average. First the crabmeat fried rice. See the picture. Very colorful. There were large lumps of crabmeat as well as flakes/strands throughout the fried rice. I smell some wok hei. There was a side of spicy Thai lime juice sauce. It was good but odd that it came with the rice. The fried rice was very crabby in flavor and smell. But the taste was missing a little more salt. Here is were you order the Spice Tray. Throw some fish sauce with red Thai chilis. Or, what I did was mix some sweet soy sauce to elevate the flavor profile. Salty and sweet with the fried rice. The star of the show was the Chicken Drunken Noodle. So many flavors of spicy, sweet, salty & herby from the basil. Add some vinegar & chilis along with fish sauce & chilis to give the sour & umami flavors. The noodles were very soft and piping hot, even after 10 mins. Some wok hei too! This is probably one of the best Drunken Noodles in the area. Even my son said it was full of flavor & best he has ever had. Service was good. Our glasses of water were refilled multiple times. It's a little one higher end of moderate but the quality was very good. We found a gem! Definitely recommend & we will be back!
