    Orange Chicken

Our visit was in the evening sometime last month!!! We were hungry and wanted soup and orange chicken!! Well, prior to ordering our main dishes, we ordered chilly spring rolls: unfortunately, when the spring rolls arrived, the rice paper was hard and dry!!! We could tell that they had been made earlier in the day and had been sitting out a while! Because we're use to fresh rice paper with substantial moisture to it, we knew these were old. In any case, we just asked for them to be replaced with the fried spring rolls while waited for the entrees. The entrées arrived, the orange chicken was dry w/ old oranges a garnish and the ginger tilapia was chewy. We tried but, will "NOT" be returning!!! I think they just don't have staff to cook and / or prepare food properly. YOU CAN'T PREP EVERYTHING!!! (Yes, I have a pic.)

A great spot for when you're craving Thai! Service is good, the ambiance was intimate but other customers who had been getting rowdy were a distraction. I appreciated the manager on duty talking to the group in question and asking them to quiet down or leave. I ordered beef yellow curry and was not disappointed. The flavors was on point and the rice a great texture, not too moist and not too dry. Well done Thai Lotus!

Green curry, very pretty but watery.

After reading some of the stellar reviews, we stopped into Thai Lotus for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The dining area was cozy and comfortable in a middle-of-the-road sort of way, which was fine. The menu did not hold any surprises and we ordered several dishes. I'd have to say overall the dishes were "meh" with nothing particularly wonderful about any of them. On the downside, I found our chilly spring rolls to be very gummy and sticky compared to what we were used to. The green curry had plentiful, quality ingredients but was a bit overseasoned and unfortunately, the curry itself was very watery. The Thai government has gone to great lengths to train chefs serving Thai cuisine to ensure a standard is followed for typical dishes but this food didn't meet that standard. Maybe it was just an off day looking at the other reviews but we did not have a happy experience.

A solid if unspectacular Thai lunch spot. Went here with a friend for lunch. Small restaurant next to a couple others with parking in the back. Turn on Reagan into the lot. Full on a Wed afternoon which speaks to good business. Not good for large groups. Has lunch specials on the weekdays! $13 for a selected entree from a list as well as Tom Yum soup. Not a huge deal but prob $2 off plus soup. I got the Thai fried rice with chicken and also got Thai tea. Flavor wasn't too strong which was a welcome surprise given my experience at other Thai places, but it was almost too plain. Thai tea was a little on the strong side and bitter for me as well. Portions were good. Service was decently fast. Not a bad lunch option if you're craving for Thai and in the area.

I'm not sure why it's taken me this long to write a review! We come here at least twice a month! The food is always fresh, quality ingredients, and the Thai iced coffee hits every time!!! Walking in, you're welcomed warmly and with a smile! We love sitting at the bar and chatting with the owner, she is the sweetest and her employees are just as sweet! Everyone is always so inviting which really makes it even that much better when you get your food! Normally I would get something sweet or citrusy, but this time decided to venture out...I was not disappointed and highly impressed! I got the Tangerine chicken house special and it was the perfect blend of sweet and tangy! The portion was perfect!

Ordered takeout last week after it was on our list to check out for a while. We both ordered the same thing drunken noodles with beef spice level 3. Spice was good a bit spicy but not too bad exactly what we were looking for. The beef was okay I feel sometimes it can be soo tender in these dishes and this missed the mark just a smidge on that. But overall the dishes were tasty I would definetly come back! It was easy to order online and we got updates via email as the order was finished

My other half and I were in the mood to try something new. We took to yelp and found Thai Lotus Kitchen. It's located on Oaklawn so parking can be a nightmare if it's busy. The restaurant is small but cozy! Has music playing to make for an enjoyable meal. We were greeted and seated immediately! The servers were attentive and fantastic! We ordered: Thai Dumplings (3/5): they came steaming hot. Paired with the dipping sauce it was one note but over all they were pretty good. Crab Cream Cheese (4/5): these were pockets of cheesy crabby goodness. Paired with the sweet Thai chili sauce it was a match made in heaven. Yellow & Green curry (5/5): my second favorite dish. The curry was flavorful, full of meat and hot! Will definitely order again. Thai Tea (5/5): it was so good that I ordered a second one! Perfectly sweet. Mango sticky rice (5/5): it was so good we ordered another one! One of the best I've tried in Dallas! If you like mango sticky rice or like coconut & Mango, YOU MUST TRY THIS! Will be coming back!

This is not the drunken noodles with pork. That's more like soup with mushrooms

Second time they've gotten my order wrong. The food is great, but the service is not. Especially when they're asking for a 20% gratuity and the order is still wrong.

Had lunch with friends today at Thai Lotus. The place is pretty small it self, we were lucky to catch a table. I'm sure they do a lot of Togo orders. The Food was great and tastes really good. I had the lettuce wraps and some Thai Dumplings. I definitely enjoy the food there. My co workers both are Pat Thai. They also enjoyed their food.. The parking is a bit complicated. The service was great and polite. We will definitely try it again.

Tried Thai Lotus Kitchen yesterday for the first time, I had a great time. The staff were so attentive and friendly. The food came out very fast. I ordered the veggie spring rolls and chicken yellow curry. That curry definitely had some spice. I will definitely be back to try more.

Typical run of the mill good Thai food. Nothing special about it. I would order it again. A decent portion of food given. Food arrived hot and fresh.

Just outstanding. I have been craving Green Curry for a while now and we found this hidden gem in the heart of the gaybourhood in Dallas. The food was authentic and perfectly prepared. So much flavour. The service of the waitress was outstanding and made us feel so welcome. Cozy and small and yet so inviting. Definitely worth a visit.

It seems to me that this should not happen ever, but I grant that it's possible that it was an honest mistake. Consequently, we get to spend some scarce weekend time to go to the business and get the duplicate-double charge reversed tomorrow, and will be hesitant to return in the future on the heels of this error. Dining out is a treat until you find that you've been gouged with an obvious double charge. I recommend that you check your statements for recent visits here to ensure that the same error was not inflicted on you as well. Update: we returned to Thai Thai today to give them a chance to make the chain of events described above right, and they fell significantly short. The woman who gave us our refund (for the pre-tax amount, after asking us what we wanted and replying the full amount with tip) did not apologize for our troubles, or offer any additional concessions to make up for their error (running our card TWICE for different amounts at the same time, after giving it to our waiter). I asked for a gift certificate for our troubles/their error, and she refused, still with no apology. See you never again, Thai Thai, for double charging us and doing the bare minimum (not even an apology) to address their "mistake."

This location is takeout only, and its location in Victory Park makes it a convenient spot for quick and delicious food. The first time I came I had the crispy wings, vegetable rolls, and the Pad Kee Mao. The wings were huge and meaty - real chicken. Nothing like what you get in mass quantities at places dedicated to wings. The wings were sprinkled with fried garlic, and the flavor was out of this world. My Pad Kee Mao was also cooked perfectly. I ordered the dish at a spice level 4, and it wasn't overly spicy at all. It was a real treat! The vegetable rolls were my favorite by a hair. They were fresh made and the veggies inside were abundant. The taste and texture of the cabbage inside was perfect. The second time I came I did a repeat with the wings and the rolls. I have rarely ever had "fast Asian" this fresh and made to order. It goes to show that fast food needn't be bad, but still, certain needs in this country need to be met.
