Once we realized the error, we informed the waitress, confident that her oversight would be handled with care. Unfortunately, instead of it being handled in a professional and apologetic way, her "manager" claiming to be the "owner", came over and began questioning us and implying that we had done something wrong. We simply wanted a receipt showing proof of the cancelled transaction in case the first payment went through. Though, he didn't provide adequate documentation only saying- "don't worry, it didn't go through". Even after his rude response, I wanted to try and lighten the mood/offer another opportunity for him to provide a positive outcome. So,I shared that we were there to celebrate my birthday- literally the day of. Unfortunately, he continued his aggressive behavior and refused to provide even a small gesture of kindness or show any responsibility, so we simply paid (again) and left. Needless to say, we will not be returning. Though we moved on and had a wonderful day, I would be remiss not to share this unfortunate experience and unacceptable lack of customer service.
