Then the Tiger Cry, which is some of the best I've had recently. The beef was tender and a perfect medium rare. Stopped here for lunch yesterday based off of a friend who lives in the neighborhood. Classic Thai food with decent flavor. They have a Thai spice (their term) that was a mash of fresh peppers. Delicious! I had tried this place maybe 5+ years ago at the recommendation of a friend specifically for their Cashew Ginger Chicken (you see that dish come up in several other Yelper reviews). It wasn't until I saw someone post about this place on the Houston Foodie Friends Fbook page that I remembered how delicious this dish was! What a fool I was to wait so long in between visits. I ordered via 3rd party delivery app for dinner last night - crispy egg rolls, Thai dumplings, cashew ginger chicken, and chicken pad thai. First off, I was pleasantly surprised by the prices - very reasonable, especially for the quality and portions! I loved everything I ordered. The egg rolls were perfectly crispy and served with a delightful sweet and sour sauce. The dumplings were stuffed full of filling and very hearty. The cashew ginger chicken is addictingly delicious and just slightly sweet. The pad thai was just as you want the classic dish to taste with big chunks of chicken. This was truly a smorgasbord of delicious Thai eats and I have enough to last for several leftover meals. I certainly will not wait another 5 years to order from here again! Was really craving Thai food and decided since I lived so close by I'd try this place out. Pad See Ew: Best dish to get here. It was full of flavor and did not disappoint. The only thing I didn't like was the chicken. The chicken in all of the dishes were tough. Other than that I was pleased with the outcome. Masaman Curry: I didn't really like this curry. This didn't taste like any other Masaman curry I had so the taste caught me off guard. Now don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad but I wouldn't get it again. Tiger Cry: My boyfriend ordered the Tiger cry and loved it. I tried some of the steak and was in love. The steak was so soft and tender. The sauce was a bit spicy but overall pretty good. Tom Kha Shrimp: I ordered the Tom Kha chicken soup the first time around, but I never got it so I assume they forgot about it. Not a problem. I ordered it again but this time with shrimp. The soup tastes very watery. It definitely wasn't bad, but not the best i've had. Overall: I really like this place. The staff was so nice. I can't wait to come back here to try other dishes. Recently moved jobs and happened to find this place via Yelp when I was craving Thai food. I called for pick up and ordered yellow chicken curry which came with a side of white rice, steamed vegetables, and vegetable egg roll. It also came with a drink which was an unsweetened tea. This was from their lunch special menu and it was only $10! Although it was a great deal, unfortunately, I personally did not find the food great. They were pretty generous with portion/serving however the curry was too thin/liquidy to my liking, also the chicken was a little rubbery. I did like the vegetable egg roll but there was nothing too special about it. I did not even bother trying the steamed vegetables since they were the exact same ones in the curry. I'm definitely going to give this place another try and see if the other food options are better. The staff who took my order and the one who handed me my food were very nice. My food was ready in about 15 minutes. So I'd have to give them that. But yes, I will definitely be returning and giving it another shot. read more

Oh my gosh! I am genuinely disappointed in myself for skipping Thai Lanna as many times as I have given that I live 3 minutes down the road. I ordered the Cashew Ginger Tofu, Tom Yum Soup, and fresh Tofu Spring Rolls. Every element of the meal was so beautifully seasoned. I was truly amazed at how crispy and flavorful the tofu was, especially since tofu can be done wrong so easily. The Tom Yum was exactly what I needed with this constant weather fluctuation wreaking havoc on my immune system. I asked for some chili on the side and got freshly crushed Thai chili pepper! I am coming here for lunch every once in a while. The interior is basic and doesn't look like a Thai restaurant at all but considering their lunch specials it doesn't matter so much. Friendly and rapid service and you can get a full meal inclusive of a drink for USD 10.00 - green curry with chicken inclusive of a spring roll and dome side vegetables. The food was mediocre. Only the flat rice noodles in the dish were hot while the vegetables were not. The sauce was not to my liking.
