I stumbled upon the Fire Ant Grill at the Coastal Alabama Farmers & Fishermen's Market yesterday…read more Recently permitted, the Fire Ant Grill food truck was stationed towards the rear of the market, not an ideal spot for a new business needing visibility. They're in process of getting permitted for other Foley locations. I really enjoyed their fresh made potato chips and ended up eating lunch there. The traditional Kentucky Hot Brown was fabulous! It was fresh baked turkey over sourdough, topped with homemade Béchamel sauce, sliced tomatoes, bacon & served with more cheese browned on top & served in a pie tin. After taking two bites, I ended up ordering the Bon Secour Seafood Boil Panini as well and shared both dishes with a new found friend. The seafood boil salad (shrimp, conecuh sausage & silver king corn) was flavorful, a little spicy and delicious on toasted Gambino's bread. Chef Kevin McCarty cooked up some pretty awesome food - not the kind I would expect from a food truck at a farmers market!

Micah, greeted me and gave me some great recommendations. I went with the teriyaki and garlic chicken plate that came with rice and macaroni salad. Wow! The chicken was very tender and had tone of flavor. They use chicken thighs which holds way more flavor than chicken breast and won't dry out. I'm still tasting it as I do this review. The rice has a sweet taste and the macaroni salad, was way better than what I've had in Hawaii!! It had so much flavor and was not dried out. Then I went back for their signature cookie. I hate I only bought one. I can't even talk about the cookie just go get one!!! This is definitely on my list to come back until I've had everything on the menu!!!!

I can't wait to go find them again and order the exact same thing once more! Flavors were bright, ingredients were fresh, and I felt good and healthy about eating this. Pictured: friend avocado taco with Spanish rice, $8 before tax. They also had street corn that looked delicious and I'll try the next time I order from here. My only comment would be the portions could be a little bigger, maybe a 3rd Taco, but they do give what felt like a heaping serving of rice. I wasn't hungry until much later after finishing this lunch
