We have been in the Brewton, AL area for 6 months now. I had been avoiding this place due to a few super low ratings. We were hankering for takeout and I decided to ignore the 1 star ratings that had kept me away for so long. I've eaten American Chinese food in 10-15 states, and at multiple locations in a half dozen large cities over the years. This place is notably good. Like, really notably good. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked perfectly prepared and the variety of what the kitchen was able to prepare with this level of consistency was a little shocking. Anyway, went in tonight and the food we ordered was fantastic. The prices have me shook, especially for the quality and taste of the food. I'm so disappointed that we didn't try this place sooner, months of missed opportunity for good takeout. Anyway, ignore the few negative reviews trying to slam this place. Clearly cranky tourists that were already having a bad day and decided to spread the wealth. The food is phenomenal. The service is fantastic. A must eat if you're in the Brewton area and craving any number of your go to Asian American favorites. read more

This restaurant has been there a long time and desperately needs some attention. the shrimp is very good, the food is pretty good. They pour bags of ice in the ice machine so the large cubes clog it. The ladies restroom is terrible! There are only two stalls, one hasn't worked for months and the other needs two flushes. No paper towels each time we have gone and the soap dispenser is watered down. Gave this place a couple of tries, we are done now. read more

I came here starving and left with a fulllll belly. Man do these people know how to cook. The people are very friendly and understanding of anything from what I see. It's very quiet around 12 for us anyway. Will definitely be coming here more often. My favorite place in brewton!! read more

My entire family enjoys this small little restaurant. Don't let the small size keep you from coming on it. The food on the buffet is so delicious and the food is quickly and well keep up so there is plenty. A full menu is also available for those who prefer to order this way. read more

The person who answered the phone was very unpleasant. But because of the limited options locally I decided to grab some fried rice and ss chicken. The chicken was okay but the rice was terrible. Not sure if it's the way they cook it or if they use six day old rice, bit it was nasty and hard. Never going here again. read more

We went to Happy Kitchen in Andalusia, AL on 12/26/23. The food was very good. However, the guy at the cash register just took our money and did nothing else. We even got our own drinks as well as our own food. We paid with our debit card. A couple of days later when we checked our bank account online, we discovered they had added $6.00 to our bill. These people are CROOKS AND THIEVES. We will never go there again if this is the way they do business. BEWARE if you pay with a card. read more

Stopped in while on a biz trip in Andalusia. The place is a little nicer inside than expected from the exterior. People taking order were nice. I grabbed the veggie pad Thai, extra spicy. The food overall was average, probably pretty good given the size of the town and options available. Wasn't very much spice and the dish was totally devoid of any kind of greenery except two pieces of basil. There was a lot of food for the money, it was mostly just plain noodles though. read more

I have always loved getting take out from this place. Tonight was another story I payed over $60 for food for the family got home and my aunts little girls food was not in the bag so she was upset so I called and asked if I could come and pick it up the women argued with me until I told her I was on my way when I get here she tried telling me I just wanted to get it for free. IF I WANTED IT FOR FREE I WOULDNT HAVE DROVE 20minutes back to town to get it nor would I have payed $60 for the dinner to begin with. Customer service is not great. Very upset. read more

This place is a dump. Terrible service, i.e waiter didn't speak intelligible English. Man who brought out food out (chef?) had dirt under his nails! Mongolian Beef is greasy and lacking flavor. Water was dripping from the ceiling tiles and being collected in 5 gallon buckets. Gross is an understatement. If there is a local health department, they should inspect this place ASAP. The food was ok..nothing to do a back flip over. The lo mein had spaghetti noodles in it...Spaghetti noodles! I love Chinese hot mustard but they only had the packets of mustard that is nasty. Won't be back. read more

Food was mediocre at best. Egg rolls were cabbage filled and barely anything else. I ordered the shrimp pad Thai. It was bland but I was starving and ate it anyways. Happy Kitchen has moved to a new location! It is decorated very nicely and is very clean. The booths and tables are all new. The menu is rather large with lunchtime specials and all of the favorite Asian dishes. The food is consistently fresh and flavorful. Included in the new location is a second choice of very flavorful food for your enjoyment, China Buffet. You pay before entering the buffet and all the food and beverages are available for your feasting. This has become my wife and my favorite restaurant in the area! read more

By far my favorite Asian place in Andalusia. Less expensive than Samurai, better quality than Chen's. It's very reasonably priced and the service is great. Everyone is so sweet and they're very patient with complicated orders. I really recommend the egg drop soup with whatever you order!! Had the Chicken Thai Basil for lunch while passing thru town from Destin back to Atlanta. Fantastic! I am giving it 5 stars considering this is a town of only 10,000 people.
