Best Pad Thai in the East Valley! I ordered chicken Pad Thai and Tom Yum soup both medium spicy as take out. I called in my order and picked it up 30 min. later. It was a busy Friday night, but my order was ready to go. Both dishes were hot and fresh when I got home. The pad Thai was perfect and the price and portion was amazing! Pad Thai had just the right amount of spice, lime, and peanuts. The soup was spicy and delicious. I can't wait to order again and try the curry and more soups! I will be back. read more

Pad Thai was only alright but not the best. I ordered the beef pad Thai but it came with a bunch of tofu cubes, which usually pad Thai doesn't have tofu unless you order vegetarian/ tofu pad Thai. It was almost as if they were using tofu as filler ingredients to make it seem like the portions were decent and so they can add less beef. I was in the area and it was lunch time, this place popped up in the search and I figured why not! Well, it turned out to be a great idea to try this place! Very easy to access being in a corner shopping center and plentiful parking. The restaurant is clean and inviting which makes for a nice atmosphere. The staff was fantastic! Very polite, willing to answer questions and seemed very genuine in striking up pleasant conversation! That is rare, so it makes you feel very welcome and appreciated! Now for why we are all here- the food! My order came out very quickly which is great if you are on a lunch break! "Pad se-iew" with beef, thai hot and thai tea is what I ordered and it was fantastic! The beef was flavorful, noodles cooked perfectly, veggies were just right and the thai tea was smooth! Love this place! We live out in Gilbert and are happy to make the extra drive on occasion because their food is sooo good. Items I'd give 5 starts to that we've tried: pad se ew, green curry, & spicy basil. Their curry is the best in valley so far that we've tried because it's flavorful & not watery. Oh my, where should I start? I was extremely ecstatic when I saw a Thai restaurant opened up in East Mesa and even more excited when they serve extremely delicious food. I've eaten here plenty of times and each time was suburb!!! One night our party of 10 came in for my sister's birthday dinner after we were told the wait for another restaurant was at least an hour, and Thai kitchen staff gave us no fuss at all. They rearrange to accommodate our large party and serve us with smiling faces. After I checked in on Yelp, I realize they close in half an hour which made me appreciate them even more. My favorite is the chicken pad thai (medium spice) and beef green curry (medium spice). I eat pretty spicy and I felt like medium was perfect for me. Pros: + prices are VERY reasonable, especially for lunch + wait staff is always friendly and accommodating + decor is cute with elephant pillows at the booths + mango sticky rice, need I say more? This was our favorite Thai restaurant. Now sadly we are stretching to give it any stars. The lettuce wrap chicken was the weirdest we've ever had... tomato based and very little chicken could be found. The Tom Kha soup was watery, had mushrooms and some thick cabbage leaf stems. I just enjoyed the most flavorful and scrumptious lunch. Considering the quality of food and service I am very surprised this place isn't packed! The staff was very pleasant and quick to serve, restaurant was impeccably clean, the elephant pillows are adorable. You can see the kitchen staff in the back prepping food and cleanliness and sanitation is superb which makes me confident I won't be experiencing an upset tummy later. The thai iced tea is the best that I have had in over 4 years. The plates are beautiful and the food tasted so fresh. Perfect blend of spices and flavors! I highly recommend dining here. Today we tried some different items at Thai Kitchen. I'll back up a minute and say that since day one, this restaurant has been relaxed and comfortable, clean and friendly. I love chatting with the staff while waiting for takeout. Today's choice was pad Thai shrimp, pad Thai tofu and pineapple fried rice with pork. Of course, we never leave without sweet sticky rice and a Thai iced tea. Both of those are always perfection. The pad Thai was spiced perfectly to order. The shrimp and tofu were plentiful in their respective dishes. For my taste, these were too many onions and sprouts and not enough noodle, but it was perfect for my husband's taste. The pineapple fried rice was a pleasant surprise. It was sweet and salty, perfectly cooked, with a little kick at the end (again spiced to order). Though I was not entirely impressed when I first tried Thai Kitchen, this place has grown on me. I certainly appreciate any local businesses that values customer service and remembers regulars. We will certainly be back to try other dishes on the menu. read more

I don't know if I just don't like Thai food in general, but the food here was disgusting. Sure presentation was pretty, service was friendly and attentive but food was gross!!! From the appetizers (egg rolls in what looked like plastic wrap and lettuce wraps with a gross orange peanut filling) to their pad see ey (salty mushy flavor) to their iced coffee that was wayyyy too sweet. We came here on a whim to try some Thai food which I have never had. I got the Thai fried rice with tofu. Portion size was perfect. Fried rice was so delicious I ate it all. Their restroom was spacious and clean. The atmosphere was neat and the staff very sweet. Definitely coming back here! read more

This place has great food! Comes out fast and the plating is amazing! They have a strong consistent flow of take out orders coming through from the kitchen! Service unfortunately is sketchy. I walked in saw the sign saying- saying please wait to be seated. So I waited, and waited, and waited. There are 3 seats for waiting and they were occupied by a couple and their son. The gentleman asked if I'd like to be seated, and I declined but thanked him! He walked to the counter and they were seated shortly after. I was still standing and at 20 minutes I considered my options. Seat myself and wave down a server or call their take out number??? Yep, I did it and called in, even that took 3x. But when the server/staff answered the phone and asked if I could hold... I said Not, I would prefer to be seated' not understanding she again asked me to hold... I said again I want to be seated and told her to look at the front of the restaurant... she looked over and I waved, then she understood. She said okay be with you in a moment. And she sat me next to the people who had been waiting at the front when I arrived. I ordered and the summer rolls and yellow curry. They looked amazing and tasted even better especially with their house version of peanut sauce! The family next to me got their food after me, which was strange as they were seated well before my efforts. But they seemed equally happy to wait and deal with the odd idea of service. Upon leaving the lady mentioned it took 15 minutes to get seated and I told her what I did. She chuckled loudly and was amused at my story. We wished each other a pleasant night and safe travels in the unusual rainy weather. I would have gladly given them 4-5 stars but it was ruined by me watching another table waiting to get their credit card run... one very anxious child staring blankly at the server/staff too. She approached my table and literally tried to grab the check and cash from my hand. I politely but firmly resisted and told her to take care of the table with the child who had been waiting longer. I did get a refill of my water and a box for my leftovers. But I chose to sit at my table and write a thorough review of my experience... hope others have better luck. This Thai food place is hit-or-miss. The one thing I really enjoy about this place is the atmosphere customer service and the spices used. The thing I really don't like about this place is when I eat here I get explosive diarrhea almost every time and it's not just me but my whole family as well. I've been coming here for almost a year and tonight would be the last time that I'm going here, At first it was a great place to go for a meal, Now the quality and quantity of the food has gone downhill, I always order pad Thai , tonight I ordered it , was just a slimy plate of brown noodles with grease at bottom of plate! After trying a number of Thai restaurants in the Mesa area, we keep coming back to this one as our favorite. It's tiny and cozy, quiet and relaxed, with attentive and personable servers. $9.50-$10 lunches are fabulous and include a cucumber salad, spring roll, rice and entree. Out exploring the town looking for a place eat &stumble across Thai Kitchen. We got there 20mins before closing, I was amazed at how many people were coming in to eat or take out. Favorite Thai food that we have found in east valley. Always friendly, always quick, never mess up an order and most importantly... delicious food! I always get either the green curry tofu or the Pad Thai tofu. My husband likes the pad see ew which is also great. I really like the eggplant that they add to their green curry, a major pregnancy craving these past 9 months! Haha and you can't go wrong with a couple of Thai teas. If you dine in they come in some cute little glasses. The decor is different than many other Thai places that I'm used to. It's much more modern, love the elephant pillows, the lighting and chalkboard. Love it and I highly recommend this place for some exceptional Thai food. read more

I went to the website and place an online order. When I got to the restaurant the prices were higher than it was on the website. When I asked the girl why the prices were higher in the store then on the website she said that they haven't updated the website yet. She didn't apologize and she got a snotty attitude with me. No attempt to make any adjustments to the price, just gave me attitude because I pointed out that I was being charged more than the website prices stated. Don't recommend supporting people with bait and switch practices like that. read more

My sister recommended this restaurant. She's pregnant and has an odd craving for Thai fried rice. You know you can't argue with a pregnant woman on what you're going to pick up for lunch. The atmosphere: it has a farmhouse theme to it. It's really cute but feels oddly decorated. It's clean though so I shouldn't complain. The food: my sister enjoyed her beef fried rice. My pad siew was unfortunately salty. The Thai ice tea I had was lacking flavor and watered down even the first sip. It took me so long to finish my lunch portion the waiter asked if I needed a box. The price: a little under $30 for 2 lunch specials which comes with a mini veggie eggroll, a small portion of entree added 2 drinks and a side of rice. I left unsatisfied but I'm willing to try something different in the future and maybe a dinner plate will fit the craving.
