First time here, got a to go order. Drunken Noodles, it was good. I feel like it could of been better.

We have ordered here multiple times food always tastes great if you get what you actually ordered. This is the 3rd time I ordered Basil Fried Rice and they send some slimy noodle dish that is nothing like I ordered. The first time they made a replacement and delivered it because it was the restaurants mistake. The second it was near closing so I ate a sandwich I made and had them refund. After that whenever we order I place the order online, then wait a few minutes and call to confirm just like I did tonight. I STRESSED that it was the fried rice. Dinner arrives it's slimy noodles. I immediately called the restaurant and was told sorry we will fix the right dish but you have to come pick it up. SERIOUSLY???? I ordered delivery for a reason. Then they said well we refund you the $13.95 (no taxes, no tip, no delivery fee inc.) Then you can make a new order for the rice. So I can wait another 50 minutes, pay taxes, another tip and another delivery fee. Unacceptable - I honestly never right a negative review unless the food it just awful - But since this is the third time - I'm done. Now I'm going to the kitchen to try to find some else to eat. read more

I cant believe I have not been here before. I was told by the new owner that this restaurant has been here 15 years and I lived in the Lake Washington area for 8 years. Well here we go. This place reminds me of Thai places I used to visit in Southern California. Traditional Thai artwork and popular dished cover the walls. Not a Thai palace but very clean and has that feeling of home. We were warmly greeted and seated. Our drink order taken and delivered promptly. I ordered the Thai ice tea which was delicious. Since it was lunch I ordered the gyosa and pad kee mo "drunken noodle" which came with a fried spring roll and egg drop soup. The gyosa was delicious and cooked to a perfect light crisp. The egg drop soup came in the tiniest soup bowl I have ever seen. Though delicious this bowl is fit for a mouse not a man. The fried spring roll too was pleasing to the eye, delicious, but a little on the snall side. The pad kee mo though tasty needed the heat kicked up a notch. I am certain that many around here ask for mild. Not me, I can take the heat. So a very good experience here. A few tweaks and we got a five star winner here. Ill be back very soon! read more

Was in the area and it was dinner time so looked at Yelp and found this place. The location is in this unassuming mall and it's easily overlooked. In fact walking up to the door, it kinda looked a bit sketchy but once inside, it was all very comfortable and the smells emanating from the kitchen were very appetizing. We were all super hungry, and unsure of how long it would take to get the food, so ordered x2 appetizers, which we maybe shouldn't have and then x3 curries. The servings were very generous, and the food came out fairly quickly. List of what we ordered: 1) Tom Kha soup (large) - this was a massive bowl that we split between the 3 of us. I found it a bit too sweet for my taste 2) House salad with ginger dressing on the side - dislikes the dressing and frankly could have skipped ordering this dish, as it was too much (my eyes were bigger than my stomach) 3) Veggie Penang curry - Meh, a bit too sweet for me. Thought this was the weakest curry, taste-wise. 4) Veggie Green curry - Good amount of heat, and my 2nd fave curry of the night. 5) Veggie Thai Basil Entree - frankly the best tasting of the curries we tried. Excellent lunch service. I had Curry Noodles with shrimp and my friend had a Mango Curry Rice dish with chicken. Both excellently spiced (I asked for it a little spicier than standard and could still have taken more heat!). Topped off with a Thai Iced Tea and we were happy customers. Absolutely our go to Thai restaurant in Melbourne. We go there at least once a week and I dream about the hot and sour soup

The family was craving Thai Food for dinner before seeing Ant Man and The Wasp. The interior is cute with floating umbrellas hanging from the ceiling. The menu has a lot of tempting options but we went with cashew chicken and the Three Flavors Thai Volcano. (The name was something like that.) Getting one savory option and one sweet option was the way to go. The Volcano (with chicken) was similar to a candied fried outside, but it wasn't messy. Kind of hard to describe, but it was good! Yesterday we came back here for lunch under new owner and new management... The food still good! Homemade authentic Thai cuisine freshly made for you. The place is small, clean and cozy. Service was fast. The Papaya Salad, yum! Enough portion to share for 2-3 people. Almost every week my husband and I eat at this fabulous restaurant. The food is delicious, fresh and so beautifully balanced. As a tofu fan ( me, not my husband) I believe that the mostly perfectly cooked tofu I've ever had. The curries are great, the rice is great, the noodles are great..well actually there are no bad choices at this restaurant. The super friendly owner and his family always make us feel welcome. Just moved here from Los Angeles almost two years ago and tried many Thai restaurants in the area, most of which always is some kind of Japanese or Chinese fusion. This place is actually just Thai, which means there's much more flavor and authenticity. Very tasty and very well packaged and portions are generous. I recommend any of the items I've photographed. Little hole-in-the-wall in a strip center: limited seating, simple trappings, tasty affordable food and very friendly and personable service. I came for lunch and, noting the sign stating a $15 minimum credit card charge, decided to start with a spicy cucumber and shrimp salad (since the lunch specials were so cheap, around $6-$7 apiece). The salad was cool, crisp, spicy and delicious, with three plump and perfectly cooked, still-warm shrimp. I also had the chicken pad see ew lunch special. Although it didn't use the broad, wide rice noodles that I favor for this dish, it was very tasty and loaded with produce (cabbage, carrot, broccoli, zucchini, etc)., perfect for veggie lovers. The lunch special was served with a vegetable spring roll, a bit greasy but tasty. Stopped in to Thai Kitchen today for lunch, and again I was so happy with the food! Thai Kitchen did not fail in terms of great authentic, very flavorful Thai food. I noticed the negative Yelp review from Scott S. (from California) and was completely baffled by his assessment of this place; I mean everyone's entitled to their own opinions, but geez. Then I checked out his other Yelp reviews and they are ALL practically 1-2 stars, so it must take A LOT to satisfy him. I've lived and traveled this whole globe! This place is good, not just for "dumpy" Melbourne, it's just good period. This family owned business serves up some delicious, very reasonably priced, authentic Thai food. This isn't commercialized, over the top, Americanized Thai food that some may be accustomed to. Ploy, the daughter is very friendly, and her parents do a great job in the kitchen! P.S. If you like spicy food (which I particularly do not), my boyfriend who has also traveled abroad, really enjoyed the green curry lunch special and said it packs a nice punch! read more

Our waiter was friendly and helpful, and our meals came out quickly and wonderfully hot. We ordered the pad Thai with chicken. The flavor was very good and sweet and the bean sprouts were a nice addition. It did seem a bit light on the meat, but considering the very affordable price of $7.95 for their lunch specials, I can't complain much. We wanted to try their curry, though we don't care much for heat, so the waiter offered to order our meal mild. We had the red curry with beef. Very good, and loaded with a rich sauce. Each lunch special is served with soup and an egg roll. The roll was quite good but the soup was a little disappointing. It was a chicken noodle soup made with shell pasta.
