The best Thai food I have had, granted not something I partake of often. Like others say this is a small, simple family owned business and calling ahead is the only way to know 100% they are open. (Would be nice to link to a Twitter feed updating hours or something if that is the case often) The food was great, and everyone in our party was happy. DELISH!!! If you love spicy Thai food this place is worth a try!! There is a little wait while the food is made which is why it tastes so fresh and not reheated food. They use so much spice in their cooking you smell it in the air as soon as you hit the entrance. The drunken noodles were very tasty and the vegetable spring roll was amazing. Sometimes, I just really crave pad Thai.. it was soooo good and the bites were yummy noodles with a fresh bite for texture. Yellow curry was good, actually great. My husband likes a super spicy curry so he had to add his own. A spicy scale would be rad! I'd probably even bump it up a bit. From dining at basically most of the Thai restaurants in Melbourne area, this place is hands down my favorite! It is 100% authentic, never had a dish that was disappointing, it's not your typical Thai and sushi type place like other Thai restaurants around town and for that reason what I was told by the owner's son is because they want to keep the focus on the authenticity of Thai dishes. It may not look as shnazzy and as fancy as other Thai places but give this place a try. The owner is really friendly, always greets us and from time to time will give us an extra dish on the house! Recommended the #47, I think it was basil and veggie and egg noodle stir fry (with shrimp, mushrooms, broccoli, onions, zuch, and squash). Was excellent, nice and spicy. I love this place! It's a family run establishment, everyone was very friendly and conversational. I spoke with Ploy ( our server ) who is daughter of the chef ( her mom ). After we talked to mom she suggested a BBQ beef salad that I enjoyed very much, just the way I like for heat. I started the meal with Spring rolls, tasty. We shared some Tom Ka Gai soup ( chicken coconut ) which was absolutely authentic. Mom/ chef recommended a garlic shrimp dish for my girlfriend. The shrimp were plump, cooked perfectly, very garlicky and delicious! I have to go for lunch there soon! Ate here with my boyfriend last night. We found this place here on Yelp and saw the ratings were pretty good. We're always looking for some good Thai food! Upon walking in immediately I was a little turned off. It was extremely smoky, like the stove vent hood wasn't even on. By the time we left my eyes were burning and my hair reeked. Our food was just ok. I got a dish with chicken and basil with veggies which was pretty good. A little salty but not bad. My boyfriend got the red curry dish which he said was so salty he could hardly finish. Thai Kitchen is a family favorite. It's kind of far from us, but we love it so much that we've made the trek often enough to get to know the family that owns & runs it a little better. We used to frequent it when a different family owned it, but that family moved back to Thailand and a new one took over. We were nervous about the change, but quickly fell in love with the food after giving it a try. It truly is fantastic! The service is really good, the atmosphere easy & casual, and the amount of parking available out front is phenomenal! I usually order either the beef fried rice or the vegetable & tofu fried rice. Others with me have their own favorites like mango curry vegetable soup, thai basil beef with rice, garlic & pepper chicken, ginger fish, and clear noodle soup with chicken. For drinks we usually order Thai tea, Thai coffee, or some of their canned juice drinks like lychee. We always recommend this place to friends. read more

Liked it so much the first time - I went back 3 days later! I went on a Saturday afternoon with some girlfriends after a fitting at the bridal shop in the plaza. Everything we ordered was fresh, delivered quickly, and DELICIOUS! Two of the girls had a special blue crab fried rice that was so good. I had Thai style green papaya salad...something you don't often see on Thai menus around here. I wish I had an order in front of me right now! Perfectly seasoned! Fresh, bright flavors. So, I took the hubby there for date night 3 days later and it was again excellent! He had the crab fried rice and really enjoyed it. Calamari was hot, crisp, and fresh. I had the green papaya salad again...excellent...and I tried the black pepper chicken. So good. I was so happy to have the leftovers again the next day! This family-owned restaurant is located on the same plaza as That Little Restaurant and it's on N Wickham street - from what I've known of, this street is the most busy street in Melbourne. Walk in, there are a bunch of pictures of food hanging on the wall for you to choose from, and I think it is a great idea because customers with no experience of thai food will get the ideas of what their dishes will be like! (Most of the food pictures are their SPECIAL & MOST POPULAR DISHES in their restaurant. I've tried a bunch of food on their menu already - Pad thai, papaya salad, and their noodles dishes are my FAV!! (Tbh with you guys, I liked every thing I tried lol) they are super tasty and delicious. Went for lunch with my husband. Food was delicious and fresh and the price was very good. Lunch started with a bowl of soup, sort of egg drop, that was really good, and a small, crisp spring roll. I had the crispy fish basil special, which was, basically, a couple of pieces of very crisp fish fillets smothered with a delicious mild sauce with basil, mushrooms, carrots, bell pepper and onion (I think). It comes with a scoop of white rice. So, I ate the soup, spring roll, two large fish fillets, a lot of veggies and over a cup of rice. Shameful but delicious. This little restaurant is amazing. I was greeted promptly and in a very cheerful manner. I ordered chicken Pad Thai and mango with sticky rice. This is a small place and they do have dining inside. I believe it's a family-owned business and that the daughter was the one that greeted me. She seemed very helpful, very pleasant, very friendly. I felt extremely welcome and comfortable immediately, which is sometimes not the case in a small restaurant that I've never been to before. The food was amazing, especially the mango with sticky rice. The sauce was delicious it tastes a little bit like cereal milk but has a much greater depth. The pad thai was delicious and just stuffed full of meat. I think there was legitimately a 1 lb chicken breast in my meal at least and then on top of that they did not skimp on ground peanuts, scallions, bean sprouts or any other ingredient. They managed to add all of this without taking away from the Flavor of the noodles, which were perfectly done and the sauce, which was amazing. There was oil in it which there always is going to be, but for the first time in my life I didn't feel greasy after eating Pad Thai. Usually it is so saturated in oil that that is the predominant flavor but in this you can taste all the different flavors. You can taste the sweet, you can taste a little sour, a little bitter and of course the salty. While it encompassed all of those flavors none of them were overpowering it was perfectly balanced. It was the best Pad Thai I've ever had and I will go back and would like to explore much deeper into their recipes and Order various different things. I think more than anything that I would love to try their papaya salad. But they have a huge list of amazing sounding foods that I am not familiar with. However after experiencing this meal I now trust them to get other things correct and flavorful and tasty. Another really nice little touch that just shows that they care about their customers was that they brought me water while I waited. It doesn't seem like much but it just meant that they were considering me at the time and my wait was incredibly short I honestly thought that I would probably be there for 20 minutes but my food was out within 5 steaming hot and perfectly prepared. I simply cannot say enough good things about this place from this one experience. The only thing that is a sort of negative that I can see is that they do not have a lunch on Saturday so even though I was there at 11:30 I had to get the dinner portion (which is gigantic). I wasn't really looking for that much food at the time. Pad Thai thankfully seems to rest well and be good as leftovers so I'm not bent out of shape. This is hands down the best Thai around. I like the fusion kind of stuff sometimes but this is the place to go for authentic Thai. Got the fresh spring roll it was delicious and 2 ample ones for like $5, not $9 like other nearby places. The green curry was delicious and they were more than happy to switch some vegs around and even offered to make my son his own small portion of noodles to save me money. Didn't have to do that but it says a lot to a customer. And I'm anew resident of lake Washington area and now a permanent customer of this little gem. This restaurant has been totally transformed from the restaurant run by the previous owners. It is extremely clean and provides a very comfortable atmosphere. The food is very good. All the ingredients are very fresh and each dish is cooked to order. We had the mango curry and the Penang curry. We ordered both with tofu. The tofu was crisp and very tasty. We decided to have dinner here, but somehow we walked into the wrong restaurant called That Little Restaurant, I think. We didn't notice until we were already being serviced... so we ate there and then we went to Thai Kitchen next door, haha. So much better! Eh... it's ok. Anyone giving this place 5 stars has never had really good Thai food. It's great for the dumpy area that is Melbourne, FL yet it's WAY WAY overpriced. We spent $48 including the tip for two people. They don't use baby corn, they use fish oil base ehh, the tom kha soup was even fishy instead of sweet and coconut tasting as it should be. The chicken satay was so overcooked it was like dipping shoe leather into peanut sauce. The main course (cashew chicken) wasn't garbage and was eatable but 5 stars? No.... Their spring rolls are crispy perfection and their sweet and sour dipping sauce is divine. Their Chicken pad thai is the stuff dreams are made of - tender rice noodles, juicy white meat chicken, and a sauce that brings it all together in the most delectable way possible. As far as Thai cuisine in Brevard County, this is the only restaurant worth visiting.
