Disappointing. My husband had the seafood curry, my son the seafood fried rice. They both liked them but not enough to ever go back. I had the catfish and it was so under cooked it was pink inside. it came over vegetables that reminded me of frozen Normandy vegetables but they threw some cabbage in. The waitress was nice and tried to help us with suggestions. The sauce was also much spicier than I anticipated. She looked at my fish and immediately took it back to the kitchen. We had to wait until they recooked fish, which was quite a bit and my family was done by the time I got mine. Fish was cooked better, still flavorless and now over cold vegetables she insisted were new. I ate the fish and picked at the white rice but left the rest. Zero offer of any type of discount for the experience knowing we were first time customers. We're last time customers now. Far from worth the $97.16 plus tip. read more

Let's start with saying my least favorite food... Thai. Having to attend a workshop in the Independence area on the Saturday was not our idea of fun, so we decided to make the most of it and treat ourselves to a lovely lunch. Thai Kitchen = perfect choice! Staff was EXTREMELY helpful and kind. Restaurant is tucked away in a great little strip-mall off of 40 Highway. Tables have white table cloths and the menu is fairly priced and easy to read. The meal was splendid. Absolutely wonderful! There was a single thing we could say anything negative about! Good food, but slow service. Crab Rangoon and spring rolls were excellent. Paid Thai was good - but not great IMO. We were seated quickly but it took quite a bit of time for the server to come get our drink order. Once our food was served, the server disappeared. No two-minute check back. Our drinks sat empty for ages. Finally someone in our party walked back towards the kitchen to get some help, and discovered everyone gathered around a table apparently having dinner. Now I know servers need to have dinner, but if they have tables they also need to watch that too. It was weird that they totally just abandoned the dining room. Our favorite go to Thai place in the LS/Independence area. Be wary, if you are sensitive to spice, the medium can already be a little spicy! the entrees are also large enough to have leftovers. This is my new favorite Thai restaurant in the area! It is better than Thai Spice by far. The service is quick and friendly. Everything is spotless and clean. We ordered the summer rolls, the yellow shrimp curry and the beef phad thai. There were eight pieces on the appetizer- great for the price. Each piece had lots of cream cheese and crab, and the vegetables were fresh. The peanut sauce was a little thin. There were many shrimp in the curry, and it was perfectly balanced, sweet, savory and spicy. The potatoes and carrots in it were soft. I cannot say enough how delicious it was! The phad thai had lots of sweet sauce, and came as an enormous serving. The beef had been seared before being cooked into the noodles. We will definitely be back. Edit: we have now visited four times, ordering different food each time (I know, but we love thai food). Still great. Our only complaint is that we have yet to visit without finding hair in our food at some point. In the curry, in the spring rolls twice, in the drunken noodles. Not sure what is up with that- the server is always very apologetic and fixes it. read more

The Curry was great. The house salad was okay, the dressing made it much better. Food came out very quickly. Quality of food was a five star for sure. Salad was only reason I did t give it a five. 4.5 stars is a much more accurate rating. As far as spicy goes, I asked the server what her opinion was on heat levels they offer. She told me that the medium was pretty spicy. I enjoy spicy food and unfortunately medium is more mild than hot. I should have gone up to hit or Thai Hot. Thai Kitchen has had fresh dishes and good flavor with everything I've tried so far, and their prices are pretty much on par with other Thai restaurants in the area -- the caveat is portion sizes. Compared to other Thai restaurants in the area, or near downtown/crossroads, you're getting about half of the portion size. This seems especially true with carry out orders. When you're paying the same thing and only getting 50% of what you can get elsewhere it starts making more sense to go those places instead. I can't speak to the dining experience, because I always pick up my food through the drive thru, but I've had quick service and good food every single time. If I show up a couple minutes before time to pick it up, it's almost always already ready, and it's still hot when I get it home every time. Their Tom Kha and Panang Curry are my favorite dishes & I highly recommend them. As for the pricing, I've seen a lot of people complain, and I can't speak to whether or not their portion sizes have decreased. However, having gone to many small, locally-owned and/or family-owned restaurants with food from other cultures, to me the pricing seems fairly normal for this type of business. It's not just your average large chain, fast food joint, so I expect to pay a bit more for food. read more

Decided to give something new a shot, and noticed that they had several curry options. I've been in a very curry mood for about 2 weeks, because I'm impressionable and watch a lot of Youtube. Regardless, My wife got the pad Thai, mild, which she said had just a hint of spice to it. Basically what you'd expect for a scale that starts at "no spice." I got the massaman curry, and it was amazing. I got it medium after having a varying experience at other Thai places with their scale. It was perfect for what I was looking for, and I'm eating the other half today. Generous portions, with the rice, it was about a quart and a quarter. Absolutely divine. The potatoes in it were just done, everything magnificent. The texture was right, just everything that I was looking for. We also got some fried dumplings, which were, as you'd expect, fried dumplings. Pretty run of the mill. The egg rolls were good, spring rolls very springy, crab rangoon on the smaller side, but still tasty. I'm going to be working my way through their curry menu soon enough. read more

Arguably the worst customer service I have ever had! I have eaten at this establishment for years now, and have never had any issues until today. I ordered some take out the other day and had some issues with the quality for the first time. I called and talked to the manager and was told next time I came in that she would take care of me. Well not only did in it get taken care of but I was treated like a degenerate to boot. The manager came over and was the most unprofessional rude person I have ever met.
