We've never had issues with Thai In Town before but today it was an interesting experience. The lady who helped seat us wasn't kind or professional. It wasn't a welcoming vibe. It was more like "Get in and get out". However, she seemed to have a smile on her face behind the table and speaking with the other guy. On their website and Google it shared that they close at 9:30pm on a Thursday but they told us they close at 9pm. Our rice was undercooked and our spring rolls weren't even rolled correctly. We particularly had issues with the lady who helped seat us. Overall, we love the Spring Rolls, Wontons, Panang w/ Rice, Khao Soi when it is properly cooked and neatly done. read more

I won't give them a low rating because I know what it can do to a business but a message to the owners... train your staff! I tried to pay part card part cash and the girl refused I almost went behind the counter to teach her!! She said it was impossible?! Mam no not in this day and age with the equipment you are using. Delicious Thai and clean atmosphere. SLOW though. There's has only ever been one man working the entire floor when we go so it takes a while. Its slow to order, get food and check but it's great food so we just go when we aren't in any rush. read more

Until now, I've found a single fabulous noodle place (and that's because a friend is Thai) and a solid Thai place (that closes in between lunch and dinner). I was really craving some Tom Kha, and so far the selection here in SLC has been very underwhelming. Count me completely surprised. I even 'upped' my spicy level because Utah seems a little paranoid about flavor (I'm from the east coast/Atlanta). The soup was fabulous. No tomatoes (thankfully, I am a purist, mushroom and chicken only please). Also, it wasn't overly watered down and I found actual lemongrass in it! Awesome bc others here have been flavor-lite. In fact, because I am hard core working I got 3 dishes so I don't have to cook until Tuesday. And really loved them all. Eggplant- wonderful. Pumpkin curry- wow. Pad see ew- yum yum. Really pleased. My only suggestion is that you should be aware of spice levels. They aren't joking. I loved mine, but they aren't the classic 'Utah' spice level. If you are spicy curious- go for it. Just a reminder - 3 stars is a complement. 4 is value well above exceptions. 5 stars is for someplace life changing (think Cirque in NY or Sutto Mare in SF). For local Thai fare TiT is tough to beat in Davis Co. Get the Penang Curry. Fresh, great texture and nice portions. read more

Authentic Thai food. We ordered yellow curry with chicken, eggplant stir fry with chicken, tom yum soup with shrimp, and drunken noodles with pork. All the dishes are extremely flavorful and delicious! The dishes are a little spicy, so we'll be ordering more mild next time. My family and I recently moved to Utah from Southern California. We've been looking for a good Thai restaurant, and we definitely found it at this restaurant. We were also impressed with the service. All around happy with our experience. Tried this place out today due to Yelp ratings and I really enjoyed it! The service is great & we came before the early dinner rush which was nice. The decor is gorgeous & it's just the right size inside. Our server was very attentive and prompt and our food was yummy! My cousin had the pumpkin curry and I tasted it & let me just say that it was DELICIOUS! I definitely want to order it next time. I had the drunken noodles - my only complaint were that the noodles were mushy - but the flavor was spot on. The calamari appetizer was also very good and I had an iced coffee & it was very refreshing. Would definitely come back! read more

I love this spot so much! The food is really delicious and very fitting to my expectation of Thai food. Growing up in the Bay Area, CA I had a lot of good Thai food options and to find this spot in Bountiful, Utah is so awesome! I've had it 2 times in a week because it was just that good. We've tried 7 dishes on the menu and have not been disappointed. The crying tiger steak, was so well cooked and flavorful. Crab fried rice --so good with big lumps of crabs at the top, the papaya salad was a great balance of sweet, sour, &pungent of light fish sauce with the yummy pan fried shrimps on top, pork shoulder oh so good with that sweet & umami taste, pad Thai & Tom Kha soup is oh so delicious. Can't wait to go back and try more items! And to top it all, the service is wonderful! They were super busy on a Friday night but everyone was so prompt, upbeat, and friendly. I recommend ordering takeouts for Friday & Saturday nights dinner. As they don't take reservations and the wait can be a bit long. Or come at 2pm on a Saturday and it will be perfectly peaceful . read more

So Disgusting! Something happened here recently and now the food is so extremely gross! I do not recommend this place at all to anyone. The pineapple fried rice is chalky, with a very weird flavor, and full of uncooked onions. It's so gross I threw away my food the other day when my husband got take out. Just ok. Thai curry puffs are awesome. Get those for sure. And the Massaman curry was good too, the broth was very thin, but was really good. The Pad See Ew looked delicious but was so overwhelmingly fishy that I could only eat one bite. Fish sauce should be used lightly, not with a really heavy hand. There are other Thai places that are better, go there if you can, if not stay away from the Pad See Ew. read more

My wife and I came here for lunch the other day since it's a new restaurant in Bountiful. We both enjoy Thai food so we wanted to give it a shot. We came during the lunch period which offers a smaller menu than dinner at affordable prices. Immediately after walking in we were greeted and seated. We started off with a few apps which were curry dumplings and fried calamari. The fried calamari was very delicious. It was cooked to perfection and was not chewy, the breading was seasoned well and crispy! The curry dumplings tasted amazing! They were bathed in coconut milk so the flavor was sweet and succulent. After the first bite I was hooked, the ingredients inside tasted so fresh. I definitely recommend giving these two a try. For the entree I ordered green curry at a 4/5 spice level. My wife ordered the chicken Pad Thai. Usually when I eat Thai I go for the curry and Thai in Town did not disappoint. Bursting with flavor and at a decent spice, I enjoyed every bite. They even do their own chili flakes! I ordered brown rice to go with it, not the brown rice I'm used to but it was good either way. The chicken pad Thai was OK, the flavor of it was more on the sweet side, which were not used to vs more of the spicy side. I guess it's more of a preference for us. Each lunch entree comes with a salad and an egg roll. As far as the service, not much to say, it wasn't it bad it wasn't great but the server was there when we needed and food came out on time. So overall we had a good experience and would like to return for some other food options. read more

Great Thai place that's in bountiful! I've been here a few times and am always happy to go back. The service can be kind of slow at times.

We were sooooo excited to have a Thai restaurant go in in Davis county, we always drive up to Ogden or into salt lake to get Thai food! We tried Thai in town tonight for the first time crossing our fingers that it would be a good option (because not all Thai food is created equally) and we are happy to report it was DELICIOUS We ordered curry dumplings, red curry, yellow curry, and drunken noodles and pineapple fried rice. We loved it all but the pineapple fried rice was our favorite. I do think the spice level runs a littlllle bit hot here-- we get mild sometimes medium when we go other places and we got a "1" here and it was plenty of spice IMO Service was awesome, very quick, friendly, And helpful. The restaurant it's self is very nice and clean and cute. The one thing I do wish was that they did the rice more family style, or brought more out while we we're eating-- we had lots of leftover curry after the rice was gone, but we got a take home container for the curry and our waiter offered to bring out some more rice to send home with us which was so nice. Hallelujah bountiful is getting new local restaurants! This place was yummy. Good authentic food and classics for ever to love and I found many new type of noodle dish I loved even more then the go to pad Thai. I also tried their pumpkin curry and it was the best!! To go right along with the yummiest mango sticky rice! Down fall....the service was awful! One server for the whole restaurant. We had to find them every time, had to ask to get our water refilled. I even suggested to have then bring a pitcher but nope and it was SO hot. Never would I go again in the summer. Loved the food though. read more

Well, We definitely had a new experience that I've never had before. We have visited this place 3 times: first was an all afternoon affair due to insufficient staff. My wife loved the food, so we went back a second time. This second experience was still a bit slow, but again, the food was good. Now, the 3rd time was the charm, NOT! There were guests at four tables in the entire place. We were seated along the bench seat of the wall next to another couple, sitting as close as grade school lunchroom seating. Plates and napkins were set on the table, i found stuck on food on the second plate in the stack, and it took a fork to scrape it off. We ordered an appetizer and soup along with our entrées, figuring from our previous visits that our food might take a while and soup would give us something to enjoy while waiting. Surprise, appitizer, soup, and entrées all on the same cart. We dined pleasantly until the second visit from our waitress asking if we needed anything else. We asked for boxes for leftovers while she stood at our table she then presented the electronic check machine. She held the machine while I ran my credit card. The machine offered me the option of tipping 18٪, 20%, and 25%. Well, feeling we hadn't recieved top-tier service, I selected the custom tip option and signed the check. We then waited and waited for our "doggie" boxes. Even watched as another couple were given their boxes. When the waitress delivered a drink refill to the table next to us, I asked if we could get the boxes. I was told to get them myself! Wow! Never in any dining experience was I told to get it myself. As instructed, I retrieved the boxes from the dining area"s prep stand. The folks at the table next to us were just as shocked as I was. I felt almost as I had been shunned by the Seinfield Soup Nazi! I was summarily dismissed for not tipping this server as expected. They should rename their business "Best Thai in Town" since everything I've ordered so far is delicious! Out of all the Thai restaurants I've visited throughout the state, this one is the best in Utah. I wish you could customize their curries but alas they won't let you. :/ Not the end of the world but it would definitely make me order their curries more often if they would allow it. read more

We have been wishing for a Thai place in Bountiful and were so excited to try this place! The restaurant was well decorated and clean. The staff were kind and friendly. We ordered the yellow curry-chicken (10/10), Pad Thai-chicken (5/10), and fresh spring rolls-shrimp (4/10). The yellow curry was some of the best that I've had and I'd definitely recommend it. The Pad Thai was not my favorite, came in a fairly small portion, and just didn't have the best flavor compared to other Thai restaurants. The fresh spring rolls were a nice size and well packaged. They were basically a spring mix, mint, and shrimp. I just felt that the mint really overpowered any other flavor including the peanut sauce. I know they are newer and probably just figuring things out. We will definitely give them another shot, order some other dishes to try, and hopefully find some more gems like the yellow curry. read more

In an old Bountiful strip mall. Dont let that deceive you. Atmosphere, service, and food is very good and flavorful. Bountiful has been know for wanting high end, nice restaurants, but not supporting them enough to keep them here. I hope this time its different. Food is so rich in layered flavors and nice portions for a reasonable price. This is definitely a place to come back too. Only suggestion is they need a sign out front.
