Upon walking in, my friend said to just sit wherever. The owner soon came over and the dream began. This dude was incredible. He is personable and you can tell he loves what he does. He quickly explained how things work and there are food items and instructions in the wall, as well. I chose steak (ribeye) and seafood (salmon) and mashed potatoes. I almost regret the mashed potatoes, not because of the taste, but only because I didn't understand how incredible each of his sides could be. We had a party of seven and the dishes I witnessed prepared were unbelievable. He even even taught use how to make our own sauces. I'm going to leave the rest to your imagination, but this is truly a unique experiences and I highly recommend it.

Our party of four ate family style and we got a taste of the Halibut, salmon, the sea bass, the prawn, and the scallop. All were very good (I think I liked the sea bass the best). I think I would come back. Again, it's... Interesting....

It's absolutely packed full of peppers and onions. The Orange chicken was good but not great. LOTS of breading. The two were identical as they just use the same base Chowmain for everything and just then add a few pieces of protein to it. Little disappointing. Our server tonight was Piper and she was so kind and very meticulous about my allergy. We ordered the firecracker calamari, E. Brooklyn and Low Rider (sub the tempura shrimp for Tuna) and everything was really great and fresh. A few things we didn't love 1. How thick the jalapeño was cut. Would love if a little more time was put into cutting them because they would be SO good cut just a little thinner to make them crisper and now mushy. 2. There was a little bit of a surge as we were eating and we totally understand how things get busy. However, there were multiple empty table and we hadn't been cared for our entire meal- we actually ended up flagging another server because we didn't see ours. My husband got a few pretty spicy jalapeño pieces and drank his and my water and still no one came to fill our drinks. Super bummed! Overall good meal but time management would be appreciated. SIDE NOTE: PLEASEEEEEEEE for the all that is good and holy- put feet or some sort of cushion on the bottom of the chairs. The noise that it makes when people pull their chairs out is so unsettling. We actually sat by a family with an autistic child and their child was really affected by it and we felt so bad. Their parent ended up grabbing their noise canceling headphones from their car just incase it happened again (And it did).

Great spot for some Chinese food…read more I was visiting some friends in Utah and they were really excited to take me to this restaurant. They said it was their favorite in town and that I just had to try it so I was really excited for it. When we arrived, we didn't realize, but it was prom night and so a lot of kids were dressed up in there prom outfits. Because we made a reservation, we were seated quickly. The server was really friendly and very helpful, very knowledgeable of the menu. We decided to do it, Family style and ordered a couple different things to share. We started off with an order of their Dumplings, then ordered cashew nut chicken, beef, and broccoli, and fried rice. The Dumplings were really big and fresh, so that was super good. The flavor was really nice. The cashew chicken was so good! The sauce that they used in the flavors were really good. The beef and broccoli was also yummy. The sauce with the seasonings that they chose, tasted like your traditional beef and broccoli. The fried rice was also very traditional. Definitely something you would expect. Overall, all the food had really great quality and tasted exactly how you would think so. I definitely think if you're looking for Chinese food in Utah, this is a great place to start.

We ordered 4 entrees family style to share at the table. Three dishes came out fairly quickly, but the 4th dish didn't arrive for nearly 30 minutes. Since we were all sharing the meal, we eventually ate the three dishes while waiting, and by the time the final entree arrived, the meal was basically over. When we brought the issue up to the manager, instead of focusing on customer service or finding a reasonable solution, we were met with excuses. She said, "If I take it off the bill, I have to take it off the table." That completely missed the point. We ordered the dish because we wanted it as part of our meal -- we weren't asking for it to be taken away. After making us wait 30 minutes while the rest of the table had already finished eating, the obvious customer service move would have been to acknowledge the inconvenience, comp the dish, and still let us enjoy what we ordered. Instead, Tess focused on explaining "owner policy" rather than taking care of a customer issue. After decades of loyalty to Mandarin, it was genuinely disappointing to experience such inflexible and poor customer service over something that should have been handled far better. By the way Amber our Server was great

They had two waitresses who also served as the bartenders for the whole restaurant which meant that it took quite a long time for us to get our drinks and then our food. The waitress was really nice but they were just inundated and made it hard for them to be more attentive.

There were several other diners but it was peaceful. I ordered panang curry pork. Before it arrived, I was given a side salad that I wasn't expecting, which made for a good start. I asked about their spice levels, which go 1-5. They said if I had had Thai hot things, 5 would be fine. And it was just fine! Great flavor, good rice and a portion that you could share. I got some massaman curry chicken to take for the folks back home, at a medium spice. This is a family favorite and this was a good rendition. We would opt for a higher spice level next time, that's just how we roll. Service was attentive but not overbearing. My water glass never ran dry :-) A nice setting and we will be back.

99 Thai Fusion is a place that I just want to love, so much so that I've been there twice. Sadly,…read moreit really isn't hitting the authentic Thai mark (especially in regards to spice). First time, I ordered their Ginger Stir-Fry entree with beef. You can choose fried rice for an extra $1 over the steamed Thai Jasmine. So that is what I did. The spice levels go from 1 to 5. I chose 5 and instead of cooking the Stir-Fry in spice, they gave me a small condiment cup with chopped peppers. There was spice in the condiment cup; but definitely not a level 5 and certainly not enough for the whole entree. Very disappointing there. The Stir-Fry itself was completely bland, pretty greasy, and slimy throughout. Definitely too much vegetable oil was used in the cooking process. The beef was quite a bit undercooked (almost raw). Sadly the whole entree itself was a disaster... but, the fried rice definitely (somewhat) made up for it. It had a slight garlic taste to it along with some miniscule egg fragments. Either way, I decided I would give this place another shot on a different day. So for my next visit, I decided to go with their lunch combo/special so I could try out a few other things minus a large bill if it didn't work out. It includes your choice of entree from their lunch combo menu (along with meat preference), plus salad/one egg roll/steamed Thai Jasmine Rice/choice of soup (either hot & sour or coconut). I went with the Black Pepper Garlic Stir-Fry with beef and their coconut soup. Once again, I requested level 5. Instead of the chopped chili's, this time I just received a small condiment cup of chili flakes. The Stir-Fry was completely bland and once again greasy/slimy, and also a very small portion size compared to other Thai restaurants that offer lunch specials. The egg roll came with sweet chili sauce and was pretty good. The rice was okay. The coconut soup is what blew my mind! OMG, what a delicious surprise! UGH, I want it right now just thinking about it. It was by far quite possibly, the best tasting soup that I have ever had. The flavor had a bit of sweetness but not too much. It also contained cabbage and tiny chopped pieces of chicken. The liquid itself was just fine on it's own, and TBH I didn't even notice it had other ingredients until I started scooping instead of slurping (lol). Surprisingly the complimentary salad was also a nice surprise. Very basic looking, but it was extremely fresh (definitely had been washed but wasn't drenched or dried up), extremely crisp, and also flavorful with the included Ginger dressing. So as you can see, I'm on the fence about this place. Restaurant was clean and employees were very friendly during both of my visits. Only wish they would actually honor level 5 (Thai Spicy) and maybe cook the beef just a little bit longer and lay off of the cooking oil. But that coconut soup is definetly calling my name for another day.....
