I've heard mixed reviews from friends, but took a chance based on the yelp reviews. Thai Hut did not disappoint! I had the seafood pho and my husband had the chicken tempura sweet and sour chicken dinner plate. Both were AMAZING!! I first had pho in San Jose, and this place was better than the Bay Area. It's true, it's a small place. There was a wait for the inside seating when we got there, but took advantage of sitting outside. No wait! Score! They were BUSY, but the service was good. Not feeling well today and didn't want the greasy Campbell's Chicken Noodle soup. My son went to Thai Hut and got me the Won Ton Soup. It is loaded with chicken shrimp mushrooms spinach and onions and a lot of flavor. It is delicious. He also got some chicken wings just because.. they are also very good. I'm from out of town and was craving some bomb thai. Tried this place and the food was so-so. The staff however was sweet and observant. I had the yellow curry and the crab puffs. Both were ok. Not the thai I am used to. Curry was not very spicy and kind blah. read more

Stopped by today and tried the pad se ew and the some spicy Thai rice. I am comfortable ordering hot at most places but this was pretty spicy, I will probably go medium next time. I noticed almost everyone else there had ordered the Pho so I will try that next time for sure. Prices were very good and the the service was excellent. Lunch Cashew with chicken was excellent. The vegetables in the dish were well cooked with a little crispness. Drunken noodles was decent however the noodles were on the greasy side even for a fried dish. The vegetables were crispy yet well cooked. The service was prompt and polite. read more

This was my second time at thai hut and it will not be my last, this place is wonderful. The first time I had the yellow curry with chicken. It was so tender and flavorful. You have your choice in color of curry and meat and spice level. Today I came for the chicken pho. Man, the flavor in this dish was insane. It had a salty, slightly sweet chicken flavor and you could customize it any way you want with the garnish plate they bring full of veggies and herbs. You can go even further and add toppings with the tray they bring with chile oil, soy sauce, tamarind, and various other levels of spiciness and flavor. The portions are big and the prices are low. Thai Hut has great customer service and delicious food. When we call in an order to go, they give an accurate time estimate, and the food is always ready when we come pick it up. Their Pad See Ew is the best I've had in Redding, and their Pad Thai is also great. This is the go-to Thai restaurant for my friends and I in Redding. read more

I'm not very experienced with Thai food, nevertheless found the food and presentation to be excellent. I had chicken satay and a green salad. The salad was very fresh and had a mixture of ingredients. The chicken satay was good, although difficult to get off the bamboo skewer. You couldn't dip it in the sauce while on the stick. I might have liked a little more flavor on the chicken. Still only a minor issue because it was very good. Although Thai food can be very spicy, it was good to find items on the menu that were not. I'm hoping with the success of this restaurant that they will be able to expand and improve on the interior ambiance. Lastly, very good service. read more

Thai Hut is the best Place for Pho in Redding in my opinion. Customer service is always solid and they never take too long to get the food out to you. The only thing though you might not like is if you have a large group, you wont be able to fit in there comfortably, it is a pretty small location. read more

Best Thai food in Redding IMO, and we have some excellent Thai restaurants. Everything I've tried has been great. My fave is the prik khing and my spouse loves the Popeye's choice. The veggie pho is terrific, too. We have been following these guys around Redding for years through several locations and I hope they are always around! read more
